I think we should pass the collection hat and raise some money to fund a small team of private bounty hunters to grab Paul and return him to the US. This happens everyday. It's called "extraordinary rendition". This could certainly be arranged privately.

Anybody interested in contributing? We can probably have him back in the US within a week if we mobilize quickly.

If I were Paul Vernon, that would be the least of my worries. Same true for having any concerns about authorities nailing my ass. Oh no, not of that would bother me.

What should, and probably does cause Paul to lose sleep every night is knowing that there are sickos out in the world who honestly believe that he did it and has access to over ten million dollars that wasn't reported to any authorities and they may feel that Paul may voluntarily offer up the keys once shown a Monty Python tickling feather, if you get my drift.

I'd say it sucks to be Paul Vernon right 'bout now. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me the least to learn in a day or two all the coins have been returned with no questions asked. Stranger things have happened in this space, albeit none come to mind as I stare at the sofa across the room. (and you guys honestly thought I didn't have a sofa - that's where I fuck the dog)

If Paul is smart he should turn himself in. He will be much safer once he is in custody.

Paul, just in case you don't know where to turn yourself in, try the US embassy in Beijing.

Safer?

I would love to see the Venn diagram of people with the resources to cause personal harm to him in China and the stupidity to lose money on his exchange.

Why is it that thunderjet's explanation comes across as genuine and earnest (which I believe, TBC) while others who try to express what they want us to believe is the truth misses the mark by a mile? Hell, even Bruce Fenton's posts come across as genuine, whereas one has to be brain-dead to believe Paul Vernon's accounts.

Full Disclosure: I read ONLY 2/3 of thunderjet's post and couldn't click 'reply' fast enough to give my assessment.

FWIW: I edited this post more times than Leroy Fodor edited his StakeMiners Ponzi's ToS page.

Damnnnn. They knew . . . freaky shit now. WTF.

And who is thunderjet and how did he know about line 79?

The whole cryptsy staff can be identified and nobody can answer this fundamental question?

Someone with contacts with cryptsy maybe? This was posted 17 december 2015 by the developer of Quark in the Quarkthread:

Cryptsy Quark wallet is finally back online !!!

What was his real message? Come put your btc in cryptsy and trade more of my Quark? At 5 december 2015 he already knew that there were big problems at cryptsy and no warning or whatsoever to his followers......Should have been nice if he at least showed his concerns.....

Since the Quark devs abandonned Quark,Iam trying to give mine contribute in Quark community by contacting exchanges to update wallets after Quark hardfork in wallet 0.9.2.6.If you carefully read whole thread you probably see that I put same message for BTC38 and BTER as well for cryptsy.I  know that many people had a lot of Quarks blocked in Cryptsy wallet for months,so I was trying by contacting via their e-mails to make  them finally update wallet to 0.9.2.6 and reopen wallet. That is whole truth.I wrote Cryptsy Quark wallet is finally back online !!!   just to inform Quark community about it,nothing more.No secret invitations to deposit Quarks on Cryptsy, nothing like that.

Because of mine action (writing many e-mails and asking many times admins in chat to update Quark wallet),Cryptsy finally updated wallet and a lot of people succeded to get out their long time blocked Quark before Cryptsy final meltdown. At least 1.5 million Quarks were recovered from Cryptsy wallet and got back to members personal wallets.

I have never said to anyone to put their BTC to Cryptsy.I had just posted informations I got from analyzing blockchain:

- that their hot wallets are empty,so they sent withdrawals only from new deposits and cant transfer BTCs from cold one
- giving informations about daily transfers from Cryptsy wallets(including suspicious ones from old hot wallet)
- giving mine opinion that maybe Cryptsy wallets were damaged by hardware crash, and they maybe lost passwords of encrypted wallets,
- giving informations about wallet which not only me considered as Cryptsy cold wallet, because they had all prerogatives of cold wallet - direct txs from hot wallet and long time dormant - I was giving informations to people in chat from November,so Cryptsy knew that we know about it,but never put any explanation till do bitter end - this is not mine fault ,but Paul Vernons who only (or maybe some others from Cryptsy) knew whole truth ,but kept us in dark on purpose
- I could not to give anybody warning about something I didnt know-there were no evidences about theft-BTCs were dormant for 1.5 year,no tumbling in mixers or txs to other exchanges
If I put info that BTCs were stolen all other members would ask me how I know that and what could I say to them - Well you know,Iam guessing ? ? ? Be honest - Could you say to people that you can prove it BTCs were stolen just from informations I had then?
I was repeating this transaction id many times in the chat that people can see it yourself,so people knew about it and nobody ever said that have some relevant evidences these BTC were actually stolen.

That is truth, only truth and nothing but the truth

I can't really tell you who he is other than knowing him from the cryptsy trollbox but he was there for a long time giving daily updates as to the condition of the wallets telling us how much was deposited by customers, how much customers got in WDs every day, suspicious transactions etc..

He was telling us about those multiple 1k BTC wallets for a long time but iirc he and most others assumed they were cryptsy cold storage addresses and they were simply neglecting to fill the hot wallets the whole time for some unknown reason.

I don't think anyone thought those wallets were stolen BTC until vern made the blog announcement of the hack. They were assumed to be cryptsys because they came directly from it and were never spent.

I made an offer a few days ago, but nobody contributed  Angry

For the low, low price of $5000 (13BTC)... I will fly to China, find Vern, and kick him square in the balls!

Finding and grabbing him is trivial. The trickier part is having him flown on a private jet back to the US. There is a small company based in NC that specializes in doing just this. They do this sort of thing everyday and they don't ask a lot of questions.

I don't think it's theft. With each passing day, this feels more like embezzlement.

The only good thing is that at least that JudgeDredd douchebag was wiped out by this.

Some may ask why we didn’t report this to the authorities when this occurred, and the answer is that we just didn’t know what happened, didn’t want to cause panic, and were unsure who exactly we should be contacting.

Hey, Paul Vernon, were you also unsure as to which form to use when you filed Cryptsy's taxes in 2015 for fiscal year 2014 of the July 29, 2014, event which reduced Cryptsy's holdings by over thirteen million dollars? In case you and your CPA were unsure, it's Form 4684: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4684.pdf

Instructions: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i4684.pdf

Losses You Can Deduct

You can deduct losses of property from fire,
storm, shipwreck, or other casualty, or theft
(for example, larceny, embezzlement,
robbery, and Ponzi-type investment
schemes). See Pub. 547, Casualties,
Disasters, and Thefts, for more examples

https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p547.pdf

Quote
A theft is the taking and removing of money or
property with the intent to deprive the owner of
it.
The taking of property must be illegal under
the law of the state where it occurred and it
must have been done with criminal intent. You
don't need to show a conviction for theft.

Theft includes the taking of money or property
by the following means.

- Blackmail.
- Burglary.
- Embezzlement.
- Extortion.
- Kidnapping for ransom.
- Larceny.
- Robbery.

The taking of money or property through fraud
or misrepresentation is theft if it is illegal under
state or local law

Next question: Paul, were Cryptsy's CPA and Lawyers also unsure who exactly should be contacted with SARs being the most logical first choice followed by every three-letter agency including the FBI where your inside contact bud, Shaun Bridges, was still occupying an office with his indictment not coming into play for a few more months in spite of you alluding to the contrary in your blog post?:

Quote
At one time we had a open communication with Secret Service Agent Shaun Bridges on an unrelated matter, but I think we all know what happened with him – so he was no longer somebody we could report this to.

What's ironic, Paul, is that Marshall Long, Leroy Fodor, John Fitzpatrick and Craig Wright's lies are more believable than what you've penned, for even an mentally unstable person can see right through them.

In case anyone is curious this is the contract for representation Silver Group is sending out to US citizens/residents who want to be in the class:

http://pastebin.com/b1e6wCpJ

Im not sure I understand why this is even a thing. With the arbitration clause in the user agreement , and the fact that the money was stolen... what do you possibly hope to get from cryptsy?

If you could just write a contract that stated... When Cryptsy (or anyone) commits Fraud and perpetrates Illegal activity with users funds, please refer to section 10 paragraph C which states all parties must go through arbitration, then every criminal enterprise could just use this contractual loop hole.

Allowing business as usual after the hack creates the main problem. At that point had they spoke up then Arbitration may still be your only recourse after an investigation that could actually had some results at the time. By involving innocent parties to the breach and allowing others to leave is like a Financial Game of Musical Chairs and Inside info can help friends get out. This is called insider trading but based on fraudulent activity after the fact. Since the exchange should have announced the Hack and the exchange has to halt.

It had been explained in detail midway through but I understand it is a long thread. This legal action will prove Fraud with all details included from the posts that Gleb, Peon, Spoet and gang have outlined. It is the class action portion since so many people are affected and judgement can be rendered for all at one time. After it is found that Fraud was involved Criminal proceedings will commence.

I attempted to warn people on Cryptsy Chat about the bait n switch on MN2 knowing that it could not hold up to FinCen scrutiny or simple business law for that matter. I was trolled and told to stop whining by Whale or Not and many others. I tried to help the users but got nowhere. I got out based on MN2 and a gut feeling about the seemingly shady dealings with Alts and I got out right after the Raffle of MN2 shares, I had seen enough.

Now MN2 happened a little while before the hack, and only 5000 shares were sold and maybe this could have been a prelude to the hack to bring in more BitCoin to then leave during the hack. Since it would be held for shares payout and stay there for long periods of time. Pretty clever how it all falls into place.
