We're open to suggestions and feedback, and I don't use Crypsty, what about the feature is a blight?
Many miners will mine a coin and sell it immediately to get BTC. That feature was the mechanism for the less technical people to do this without scripting it themselves , etc. That same group that relies on that feature generally have very little respect for altcoins and don't care if they cannibalize a coin as long as they can squeeze out a bit extra BTC.
If the alts are so great you should be glad to get the great price that auto selling creates, but most alts are old junk coin pump & dumps so why hold?
And you are right all I want is the bitcoin, different people want different things it's what makes a market, so what
btw, I don't use it all the time, but it is a great tool when needed

What about the scenario of BigVern goes to China, sells the code to make the new site I will call "Chintzy", while posters here have found that they left code from the real Cryptsy site. So could this code that was left in the open leave Cryptsy vulnerable to even get a list to Phish with? Or could they have been hacked easier after the setup of the new Chintzy site plugged in code that allowed the hack of user funds? Timing is very suspicious.

How do we know that they had sold the code though? has a member of the company confirmed it? if not, its possible that the code was stolen in a hack as well as user funds from hot wallets.

Does anyone know the deal with cryptostocks which also was listing the cryptsy royalty shares; it appears to be dead and gone with customer funds. This site is linked to the vircurex exchange which is still up, would cryptostocks failing have any negative effect on cryptsy business or funds availability? I presume cryptostocks did not hold any money for cryptsy so its not a knock on loss scenario.
I have withdrawn most funds from cryptsy just by using alt coins, there were people in chat advising which but also you pay a bad price and you are losing something by withdrawing this way. Of course the best advice is do not store large funds with exchanges which do not separate out customer funds and my own advice is generally dont carry all eggs in one basket

Sorry to quote an old post, and now it's too late, but I'll respond anyway in case some withdrawals open up again, and when/if you find yourself in this situation again.
One DOGE that you can withdraw is worth a lot more than 1 BTC that you can't. "Paying a bad price" to withdraw via alts is better than a total loss via doing nothing.
Once you are in the shitty situation of getting stuck with coins in an insolvent exchange, there's no way to get out "whole" so you need to find a course of action to get out with the most that you can.
While others profit on the position they themselves put you in to incur a lost, where you, too, could've gotten in on some of this action if your past consisted of sucking the dicks of 3-, 4- and 5-Star Generals in the Hood.
