Ok so I didn't read everything that has been in this thread. But because I posted in this thread and I always go back and read the threads I posted in I wanted to say a few things.

Wolf0 is cool, not sure why your list here includes him.

Matt is Defaced AKA: Frank (leader of the coin Franko Coin + 1 Related Pool)
Defaced has a Disqus profile i had ran into a few times too.
With out a doubt a friendly guy but he is one of their long time bum buddies.

Yall done went full potato

My name is Christopher Franko. Everyone knows that lol. I'm even in the damn pictures yall shared earlier of the cryptsy on air hangout (as a guest).. Such great detectives and yet.... no one knows that i'm a real person?! Jesus christ.

And yes, ive known most of them for a very long time. They were one of the first exchanges to believe in FRK. Because I was always active and always helpful there they made me a mod. Mods have no special insight into the inner workings and our volunteer job is to just keep the peace when we can.

Have fun with your witch hunt fellas!

i knew some of that but i got ya to reveal far more Wink
duh man.. i was on your pool remember ?
Franko coin was far more legit than most coins ..not bad mouthing it.
made me a mod ? hmm interesting indeed !

so this is not you defaced ?

edit:
Guys's are just lining up to say they work for Cryptsy LOL
and yeah i know *some chatbox mod's have access and others may not.

You got me to reveal more? wait wut? Your asd is showing man put it back in the bag. I dont work for cryptsy I'm a mod... a volunteer chat moderator. To work implies I get a pay check I dont. So you googled my youtube.. man you're good! Everything i'm saying is public, how can you "reveal" public info? All of my social media sites are completely public, Ive never tried to hide who I am or what I do at cryptsy.. because my only power is to ban people who call other people names.. in a trollbox. Everyone in the trollbox knows, mods are powerless. There is even a distinction between mods and admins. Admins have a little crown next to their names. Sometimes we even copy and paste support ticket numbers to the admins zomg!

I mean ffs, if you are going to share a SS of my video atleast have the decency to share a link to the video so i could possibly get $0.10 from ad revenue. sheesh.

Where do i start ?
Well you're being defensive LOL
And yeah Volunteering or not.. doing work for Cryptsy means your one of them.
And i have long suspected you were Mr. Franko and you have always denied it outright.
You claimed it was not your coin and that you were only some guy who started a pool for it.

The guy in the picture started Franko i thought so that is why i asked if that was you.
I have seen your picture on the forum a few times before.. or around the crypto scene in the last couple years.
Your picture is old news lol
But i think ? that pic just turned up on a Google image search i did last couple days for Cryptsy.
I wasn't looking for any info on you or Franko "the coin".
So i never did see a youtube video nor do i ever go to youtube.. i can't stand the site to be honest.

But since your the only Cryptsy guy talking why not answer some questions for us ?
What is BitJohn's real name ?
What other staff or *volunteer* moderators are there ? Can you list their names ?

Defaced is a really cool guy, and as far as I have known him he has been honest. He is one of the more trustworthy developers in the alt coin world and does a lot to help the crypto cause.

For the record I'm not convinced this legacy code issue is the only or even the main problem. That's not how such issues typically manifest themselves. If there was a code change made mid-October or whenever the major problems started it should have been rolled back. If that's not an option then other measures should have been applied, there is a lot of things that could be done to make performance issues more bearable. At the very least users should be warned on the site instead of making them go to scam threads looking for answers. Right now it looks like Cryptsy is happy to take deposits and not so happy to give them back. What a convenient coincidence that the legacy code affects only THAT part of site's functionality.

You can't possibly have this much issues soley on only legacy code.

If I were to take a guess it would be that they are insolvent.

Basically robbing Peter to pay Paul and repeat.

Well my last comment here, and I'm really only saying this at this point because I am beyond frustrated with my own personal situation. Two things on my mind, the first one is before I was "someone" in the crypto space I've had numerous issues with Cryptsy. I've personally never really believed that there were only technical issues, either that or really bad mismanagement. The second thing is that I worked so very hard in order to come out with an alternative, and because my team and I were doing everything by the book we are unable to secure the proper funding to launch an exchange that is truly legitimate (not to say Crypsty isnt legitimate, but as far back as I was a customer there have been problems). Therefore until we get funding the project is on hold.

We have a fully functional exchange, but we refuse to open up without the proper safeguards in place so customers know that we are not a fly by night exchange.

/end rant and off topic....lol

Please pool operators be kind one with other .
Don't use this topic for war .. only to help miners
isnt recommending a *working* pool a helpful message for miners? im sorry if it's not.

Erundook you must relocate one of your pools, close one, or do something; you have too much hashing power connected on the same subnet. Forking has already happened and will happen again. Please recompile your worldcoind's with outgoing connections over 8 (pref >250) and incoming over 125 (pref >250) if you haven't done so already.

D1P3 - TNABC 2015 - PAUL VERNON CEO CRYPTSY From Bitcoin to Dogecoin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdOEgAG8PLU

Here's Paul Vernon's timeline (you're not gonna believe this!):

2011: Fires up a GPU in the living room. Wife mad cause it made too much noise, blah blah blah. Paul quits Bitcoin end of year.

2012: Paul registers Cryptsy.com (he did that mention this fact).

2013: (... wait for it ...) Paul rediscovers Bitcoin via some article. Pulls out the old GPU and fires it back up, but no bitcoins (he figured out why - ASICs). He found an old wallet and realized he was rich. (... here it comes ...) (paraphrased) "This was about the time that Litecoin was created sparking my interest anew. So, back to BitcoinTalk I cruised."

For those slow and didn't catch it:

Via Wikipedia: Litecoin   Date of introduction   7 October 2011; 4 years ago

To be fair to Paul, I'm only 5 minutes into the 20 minute video, so perhaps he corrected his mistake somewhere within.

EDIT: Holy fuckin' shit! (~5:15 minute mark) He just said that after finding Litecoin (2013) on a thread, he reworked his GPU and starting mining litcoins. It was easy because the difficulty was low and not many people were mining it. Paul Vernon has lost his motherfuckin' mind!

I've yet to hunt down Paul Vernon's account on this forum prior to his bigvern nym: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/bigvern-93918. There has to be one given that Cryptsy was registered on February 9, 2012.

I don't think he had one I am pretty sure I brought him here. Paul had his own Forums litebonk back then for his pools.

Then how did Paul come up with the name Cryptsy back in early 2012?

Well he has always been in BTC and has a lot of domains. When I met him at litebonk he had a bunch of companies doing various non crypto things. That and his Litecoin pool. I talked him into setting up a WDC and DGC pool back in the day since I used his pools.

Well this is embarrassing looks like I had sent that deposit to the wrong address.  Will try again sorry cryptsy !

Good to hear, things have been figured out.

We really are honestly trying to start a exchange. I admin the forums for Vern and I will tell you as much as I know this guys... he is honest as the day is long.

Wow! Simply, wOw! The dude's from Florida, knows Paul Vernon, and 100% vouches for his character where I, Bruno, had no problems finding counter examples. I have the full dox on SS, but will hold off for now till I see how "CE" fits into the scheme of things pertaining to Cryptsy.

https://www.cryptsy.com/campaign

Come to Qryptsy's, Qryptsy's is fun, come right now, don't walk - run! After a short ~3 week campaign, there's ONLY 1,779 left out of the 2,000 promos. Now, that's fuckin' telling! Given Cryptsy supposed client base with Paul Vernon affording an over a million-dollar home thanks, in part, to Cryptsy's success, one would think that them 2,000 freebies would've been snatched up in no time, yet there it sits at ONLY 221 people taking advantage of Cryptsy's promo thingy. HAHAHA

Amazingly, of the 300K+ Cryptsy user base, ONLY 232 (one added since I reported last) users signed up for the promo of the limited 2,000 prepaid debit cards. That's only 1.07% of BigVern's Twitter followers. Perhaps Paul Vernon should mention this campaign on their Facebook page which was last active with the following post (Warning: Not responsible if you laugh yourself to death: https://www.facebook.com/Cryptsy-208535829335021/

I don't believe that Cryptsy ever had any "lack of marketing" issues.

I wonder how BJ often claims wallet issues in the past (his go to response)
He better have code access if he is claiming that LOL

It was always wallet issues. Cryptsy has way to many coins! Do the math at a minimum that adds up to around 600 wallets. Always one hung up or acting up. The other issue with them is well half were programmed by people who had no clue what they were changing so they dont work correctly.

Color me confused, for no matter how many altcoin wallets have issues Cryptsy shouldn't have a single problem running its exchange if it's functioning properly. The Cryptsy exchange is simply a ledger keeping track of buys and sells. The exchange is funded via viable means (bank transfer, bitcoins, solid altcoin, PayPal, CC, etc.) that Cryptsy accepts for payments. There's no need to sinc to any, let alone ALL the altcoin wallets on the exchange proper because, again, it's just a ledger.

If an altcoin is accepted for payment or withdraws and it becomes troublesome, then Cryptsy would simply no longer accept it and, in kind, delist it from the exchange as a service to its users if the alt's issue are not resolved accordingly and in a timely fashion.

As a legacy commodity exchange, they don't have access to the wheat chamber if wheat is accepted for payment and/or withdraw and its commodity pair is, let's say, civet coffee. Said exchange doesn't cancel or delay the buy/sell because the only dude who has the key to the run-amok wheat chamber is on holiday at the civet petting zoo. The deal goes through. Later, when the person wants to exit the exchange, he puts in a withdraw request via the acceptable methods. Granted, if civet coffee is not an option for him to withdraw, he must trade laterally to a commodity that is acceptable, perhaps corn.

I know, the above example is highly skewed, but surely the gist of what I'm trying to point out comes across. If Scottrade starting having issues with its users, they would only be able to use the "somethin's broken" excuse for so long before users with pitchforks start cryin', "Insolvent!"

Please feel free to correct me in my assessment above.

I don't think your analogy is off honestly. It is obvious that there are issues with Cryptsy at the moment. As I said before knowing Paul I think he will get it figured out it will just take a bit. That is however my opinion I worked for him for quite a while and was sad to leave.

Given that Cryptsy has tens of thousands of users, what's wrong with this picture?

EDIT: OTOH, what's right with this picture?

Project Investors is the parent company im not really surprised it doesn't have anything on it. The user count when I left was well over 300k. You might as well use the Facebook page for your example because I feel that is pretty low also.

"3. There has never been any secret system slowing withdraws (just legacy programming that cant handle the load)."

Bullcrap.  The withdrawal issues spread from BTC to LTC to DOGE.  I got the rest of my coins off in ETH.  My FLO withdrawals were halved, then halved again, and again, and again.  The whole thing smells really bad IMHO and hopefully the truth will be proven in court.  Civil and hopefully criminal IMHO.   The ship is sinking.  Big Vern to the Big House!
