BitJohn quit around the time when Paul's divorce was filed unbeknownst to us at the time - circa October 2014. November 2014, is when Cryptsy paid out very few coins from its exchange, unbeknownst to the Receiver, hence using Nov 1, 2014, as the date when C quit paying out, thus using the exchange rates on said date for the settling up process. Mid-February 2015, is when shit hit the fan and Cryptsy

So let us get this straight...

The Pauldemort filed for divorce from the Wicked Witch of the West around the same time BitJohn left the company?

Quasi-aside: I remember when Leroy Fodor used to mimic my poetic posting style. Speaking of, and prob not related, anybody else seen the new thread 'bout a tongue-in-cheek token soon to be released? Rumor has it that Visa is embracing the platform, perhaps McLovin' the dev for havin' a propensity to echo posts and posting styles of others up to and including linking to soundtracks when not speaking non-specifics just like my pal, Mr. "Forex" Fodor, used to espoused a stemmin' from his childish mind.

Just a question, do you think The Donald knows where Pauldemort is?

Someone knows something if we will get the money in here

The class action will result in a lot of the money going to the lawyers. Investors who registered in time will get peanuts and those that did not register in time will get diddly-squat

Only if the Pauldemort returns from China to face the music can he return ALL the investors money. That in itself will be hard not only because he has vanished but also because apparently (someone mentioned here) the database containing everything was deleted. So even if the Pauldemort becomes a born again Christian and repents, barring a miracle it will be near-on impossible for us all to get back what was stolen.

Since the database was deleted, how is it even humanly possible for the receiver et al. to determine which claims are valid? Surely, a multitude of bogus claims were submitted especially after it was revealed that the database no longer existed, allowing all kinds of photoshopping et al. to take place in most likly successful attempts to fool the receiver, ergo all valid claimants will eventually receive less than expected if no nefarious claims were approved. And, a bad actor receiver could just as easily submit his very own bogus claims upon viewing firsthand exactly what docs were submitted, gleaming only the most convincing ones to photoshop a seemingly valid claim(s), whereupon only the judge (no other oversight committee, etc.) would have to stamp their approval, a formality given that he or she's on the clock, wanting to get home as soon as possible after putting in a long day's work of donnin' a black robe.

Show me a righteous receiver, and I'll show you an almost two-inch long Lugan dick (three inches if it's hard - don't worry ladies, I make up for that shortcoming with my four-inch tongue and Trump-esque fingers  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes accompanying a little dirty talk).

@ BitJohn have you been economical with the truth?

@Spoetnik - Chillax geezer. You can doubt all you like but I lost money on Cryptsy. If you do not trust that I lost money on Crytpsy no problem, there are many gringos here that trust me and believe me !

As for your comments about BitJohn, I drank two large cups of super-size me strong coffee and still could not decipher what you wrote but not problem. It now seems you say BitJohn is maybe good guy whereas Horus_Cryptsy and this JShock bloke spread the FUDdy WUDdy holding the fort in time for the Pauldemort to grab us all by the CAJONES before he left to find pastures and women new in China... I get it, just chillax  Grin

Yes of course it was a stall tactic and added to the amount of data a corrupt company held. At the end, support was telling people to get their account to higher level to withdraw, knowing full well that would not work.
Ask yourself, why would they do this?

I am very sad to read this about topping up wallets to withdraw technique... that is pure stealing and pure corruption IF that is what happened. I still feel that Horus_Cryptsy seems honest and very sad at what happened. As for the elusive Mullick and Logan blokes, I have no idea about their history. I am concerned though that this BitJohn bloke might not be all he seems and there might be something deeper he is not being honest with. I feel the dark side of the force within him.

So I take it no love lost between you and BitJohn then?

No idea how you got that from what I said..
And I quoted this because it's shorter.
You and many others are quote pigs.. Funny we were talking about this in meta.
You also seen me post a picture and have ever since tacked one on to almost all your posts.

Your behavior here is odd.
I can also guarantee you are fairly young
And I am skeptical you even used Cryptsy way back in the old days like you claimed.
If you did then I would not have to tell you who BJ is and give history lessons..

BitJohn stated he quite long ago and I created a topic on it.
So for a chunk of time he didn't even work there anymore.
So that that sort of ruins your weird little conspiracy.

What I was eluding to earlier is that BJ said they had to be US govt compliant.
If they had a request for a user's info they they would make up some shit to stall the user such as claiming network problems then hand over their info to the Fed's.

And that is standard across crypto too.
I warned you all that was going to happen loudly before it did.
I called it in 2013.

Later most exchanges now have a verified policy in effect.
And I told you why..
Ask Artem from KickAssTorrents why..

Unlike everyone else I refused to go along with the AML shit.
I stopped using Cryptsy and left.
You all handed over your ID like idiots.

I believe in crypto ideology.
You idiots "say" you do.. BIG fucking difference!

BitJohn left Cryptsy and had some scathing things to say about it..
Horus was still there crying FUD and muttering about lawsuits with JShock for another year or two..

BJ stated the obvious.
Something that has been under your nose all along..
Care?
Of course not.. As you all love to say "I need to get paid"
Ideaology sure as hell won't stand in your way.

Look around.. Damn near all the exchanges do AML shit.
Does anyone care?
Nope.. They are happy being govt compliant.
How else are you going to make money from shitcoins?

Me?

I don't.. Pretty simple.

Oh and neither does BJ because he quit a long time ago also.
You?

EDIT:
I agree with the Gamow too.. I was thinking that all along as well.

I believe that a copy of the database exists, somewhere... Many socially awkward and socially inept individuals who happen to be thieves like to keep trophies of their victims.

I am sure the Pauldemort is having to graple with the dark side of the force. Soon he will "get jiggy wid it" and out of fear of going to hell will be forthcoming with returning the stolen money.

It was BitJohn quoted on this topic before from years ago about the cold storage practices.
More than likely what he was told..

Vern is the one who should be doing the explaining here.
And his hiding from this does not look very good.

I just don't think it was started initially for scammy purposes.
But people run a business to make money obviously.
I think at some point Vern just wanted out and seen crypto in a long rut.
His level of guilt is questionable a bit.. But he is guilty of wrong doing for sure.

And I am not trying to be frugal about it either just saying 99% sure speculating from an outside perspective is not the same as being 100% sure.
I think Vern was the hacker most likely and he had Mullick help him with the Lucky7coin shenanigans.
It could have played out differently but that was my first thought when I heard about the hack.
Why would Mullick be running downloaded new shitcoin binaries?
When he said in the past he compiles them.
And that bit of hacked code was not in the coin on launch either..
It was a newer commit where that IRC code was added.
A lot of it doesn't seem right for the hacker story..
If Vern was infected why did he not state publicly what malware was installed on his network?
All known malware is identified by name.
And what security was he running?
The hack claim is monumentally vague..
I know because I had to fix people's computers who were infected for a living.

And it goes on and on..
Such as Vern claimed he did not know who to contact about it.
But BitJohn mentioned AML related requests on them..
Uhhh duh?
Any agency would redirect him to the FBI etc.
Had he made the call evidence could have been collected.. On his PC's.
And as the guy said earlier.. The other exchanges could have been alerted and money frozen etc.

So yeah best i can tell Vern and maybe others also were behind it.

What baffles me is the money never moved.
And will it?

No sane person would delete or lose the private keys.
I contend someone is deliberately avoiding touching them but could.

..just thinking out loud (in poem form)  Cool

PS:
Cryptsy China..

Oh so to you it seems BitJohn asking for AML documents means it was a delay tactic on their part to steal money as a collective? (not stating a fact just asking for clarification if I correctly read what you wrote)
 Shocked

From 2013 to 2015, you converted Bitcoin to thousands of dollars a day on Coinbase. Where did those coins come from?

Cryptsy collected its revenue in Bitcoin, which in turn was converted into USD via Coinbase. This was the financial model we used.

Q. If Cryptsy converted all its bitcoin revenue into USD via Coinbase, then why did you have over a thousand bitcoins on your server?
A. Petty cash on hand.
Q. How did the hacker gain access to the coin storage server not connected to the Internet.
A. What part of we're dealing with a Genius Hacker didn't you understand?
Q. Like the magic bullet that killed Kennedy, eh?
A. I am fond of Texas. Love their BBQ brisket.
Q. Is there BBA there in China?

I assumed that Horus. Good you spoke up though.
Pour yourself a glass of beaver wine.. You earned it today!

Fun Fact:
Canadians make wine out beavers.
We also club seals..the smirk on their face is just too punchable.. Uppity bastards!  Angry
Also most are afraid of the dark.. Ghosts etc.  Shocked

.. Now you know!

Eerily accurate

Have you returned all your earnings and assets from stolen crypto to the receiver...

I hear your on the list of complicit and/or incompetent employees

Yes, we have already determined that I drank the koolaid and that the numbers I saw were fudged on dev end. I've been working with the receiver since the beginning, I was actually the first staff member to call and tell them everything I knew. I gave them everything I had to give. I've just been posting here to clear up some questions and share info when I had it.

FWIW, I believe the above account and have spoken in-depth with Horus over the phone, cementing the notion.

That said, onto some fun stuff.

ATTENTION CHINESE THUGS!

Free U$27.5M for the taking. All you have to do to get it is find this man - Paul Vernon - currently living in China.

Upon his capture, take him to a secluded location and politely ask him for the private keys for the bitcoin wallet addresses depicted here; https://blockchain.info/tx/c7b46a79fd8887038bd3a8e884b04820038415a60e0b9d2c2f5bcff68a2687bf

Inform Paul that there'll be 10 levels of asking for the keys, with subsequent levels not as nice as the previous level. Further instruct him that he won't like level 3 upon recovering from level 2.

Rest assured that Paul will provide what's kindly being asked of him by no later than level 2 because he is a pussy. Once the info is provided, kindly let him go, thanking him for the info. That, or let Paul try on a new pair of cement boots in making sure they're comfortable prior to mass producing them for the marketplace. On a side note, Paul loves swimming, so this would be a perfect opportunity to see if your cement boot line is water tight while being donned.

The first person to find Paul Vernon wins.

ONE TINY problem..... Perv Vern may have lost the keys.    Cheesy

Ummm guys... Im pretty sure DJ Khaled has the keys...

If Vern wasn't in on the Theft of the Alt coins, why not at least contact the other exchanges and halt the sell off? The exchanges could have confiscated the coin just by doing Blockchain detective work. No mixers for Litecoin and other etc. Saying that he didn't want to let anyone know about the theft and run the Fractional reserve doesn't add up. All he had to do is say to flag the accounts for investigation. The funds could have been frozen at the exchanges. To top it off there was nothing suspicious to that amount of volume from the other exchanges! They just let the money go and don't know who or what in the KYC/AML happened? The account info is still there about anyone who participated in these sell offs. There are names to the accounts right? They have to turn it into money and there is a trail now.
