Two new pieces of info have popped up on the CYBCSEC website:

https://cybcsec.com/news/your-attention-would-be-greatly-appreciated/ -  JANUARY 12, 2018 - announcement of the new owner and new (development) team

https://cybcsec.com/news/please-join-us-for-the-latest-updates-on-cybcsec/ - JANUARY 16, 2018 - a webinar announcement (did anyone see it?), "signed" by Gerhard, Pete, and Tari

There seems to be some kind of fresh action as far as this coin is concerned, and though it's far too early to tell, I'll hold on to my leftover coins from the ARMR fork for now...

This coin is looking like it is gaining some traction over the past month. Anyone know what's going on with the team behind it and if they ever plan to release an ANN? Thanks!

I haven't heard anything about it. You should be careful of buying coin where there is little or no info the team.

There is a coin trading on Coinexcahnge.io called Cybsec.
It looks like it is a scam. No bitcointalk thread. Very little activity on Twitter and FB.

No information about the team.

Does anyone know anything?

https://cybcsec.com/

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/cybcsec/

Actually, coinmarketcap is just a listing site. It's not connected with being a scam or not. But missing ANN is a serious red flag. I would't mess with this coin.

well not all people use bitcointalk you cant call it serious red flag just because it doesnt have an ann thread not everyone knows about bitcointalk website i saw some ico who their tokens got sold in just 30 seconds they dont even have a information about coin in this website and didnt do any advertising but people behind it are shady i would not call that coin scam since they didnt do crowdsale.

Yes, they are a scam. Steer well clear of them! If you know what to look for all the signs are there. Anything the top guy has ever been involved with has been a scam.

He's not saying coinmarketcap is connected to it though.
But to be clear to the op, every coin that has over 10k trading volume can get listed on coinmarketcap.

They have a very active and growing telegram and have just revamped the website with details re the team, there was a hangover from the previous coin,("DRS" -  I believe Cybcsec took over this coin, all investors were compensated).

i tried looking about it after coming over this thread...could not find a lot of information to be honest.. i will trust my gut instinct that this buying this is a losing cause because of the obvious lack of transparency....i almost feel like they are hiding something.

Really, it may well be that the Cybsec coin is a matter of hands and crooks. really on facebook activity in only 70 people, and the coin has been working since January.

But, perhaps they are not spent on advertising, but created it exclusively for their circle. But this happens rarely, so before you invest in it you need to think 100 times.

XCS has been redeveloped in total secrecy and today the new website, WP, RM and reddit page went live. Btctalk ANN to follow soon.

It is low key not a scam. There are several coins like that. That a coin or token is hyped to the heavens does not mean it is not a scam. As a matter of fact the bigger the hype, the higher the chances of a token scamming. People that spend all that money are expecting some sort of ROI.

Its a red flag if we see some new coins without  that much activity but has been listed on a exchange. However, its too early to call it a scam, maybe the dev is really cooking up something from behind. They should at least hire someone to PR their coins for them. Looks like they are all doing the work. Let's wait how thing will developed before judging them as scam.

You can't just call a coin scam if you can't get enough information about them. In my opinion the coin that advertises more are likely to be the largest scams.
