Just a bit of backstory: I'm a massive UPX fanboy. I see this coin going big. And I mean BIG big. I've been with the project since October of 2018 - original airdrop HODLer.

I have just one question: Any way we can get a 32-bit ARM image of XMRig-UPX? I have a Raspberry Pi 4B which currently to my knowledge does not have a 64-bit OS, so I'm sorta stuck with it sitting idle. It would definitely fit in with the whole "IoT" concept, it being a tiny little SBC.

I'm curious how the new Broadcom BCM2711 in it will hash - 4 A72 cores at 1.5 GHz. For anyone living under a rock, this is a massive improvement over the 3B+ - in some applications, 3x performance uplifts.

I am a total Linux newb, so if anyone has a remote clue how I could compile this for my rPi, please let me know!  Smiley

As soon as i am able to i'll be setting up my mobile "farm", i have nearly 30 phones so far and all capable of around 5Khs so we'll see what comes of it.

30x5khs=150khs. Now you only have to calculate how much power they draw. Wink
And if the phones are free, then you are really lucky. Please post pictures
when your UPX farm is installed. I bet it will be an interesting sight to behold!

Can't wait to watch that video! I love how the uPlexa team constantly delivers and I appreciate the way they communicate.

Though I'd say Blake will have to be up to the challenge of succeeding Kyle's "videogenic" appearance ^^

more seriously: amazing team... wish you all the best

Arrrrrg Avast Mateys, tis Capn Bean here! Very excited about uPlexa and wanted to share a couple of reasons why i am here and not mining other coins.

1. I am a hobby CPU miner and Uplexa's algo cn-extremelite is cool as! I believe it aims to make mining accessible to a huge range of hardware even IOT devices, do yourself a favor and get out that old craptop and hash it up some, if your not careful you will get excited like me and setup xmrigCC and get your whole collection of slightly dated and mismatched crapbox hardware mining..... yes i even found a intel i3-2120 at the rubbish dump and its on the hash ha ha ha.

2. Kinda building off point one, its actually one of the most profitable CPU coins to mine with low range cpu hardware atm! While i am in it because i believe in the project who doesnt love seeing more hashes that actually translate real world to getting more for your watts then just mining xmr on your CPU .

Cheers Mateys!

Thank you for the comment sir Cap'n Bean! Love to see our algorithm being put to its use case!

Cheers!

Hey fellas and fellettes? Im planning to do a whole bunch of videos for uPlexa when the utility nodes drop as i have a couple million stashed and i want to make videos for how to set up a node on a virtual host plus the upcoming free vpn plus intro to uplexa and mining etc. What format would work better for you guys? short instructional videos or very thoroughly guided step by step type videos?

Hey thesudio!
Awesome! Multiple 10 minute videos would be better than a video with 30-40 minutes of content IMO.

uPlexa is the best. Been mining with an newer mobile phone for the last week or so and have already made some profits!! Also mobile phones only take about 1-5W so its very profitable as well (Any Android phone will do)

This is so cool!! I was looking for an actual mining coin to use my excess phones. There is MIB coin but the mining only works on two of my phones. There are other mining coins but not real mining just proof of time so now I can utilize my phones with proper mining. Are there plans to have the coin hit the market and what can I do with the coin right now? Is it just for accepting pay at the moment? I will keep mining this coin with a ferw phones and keep going. No reason to top really. ^^

Don't the GPU miners defeat the purpose of mobile mining?

My phone does 6 KH and the GPU does 1.5KH so my phone is better then with a gpu?

It says I only make $0.03 per day mining at 6KH is this right? Where are they getting the price from?

Hey Mike!
The price is relatively low right now, however the idea is to be able to provide enough profits to pay off the costs in electricity to mine on a specific IoT device.

Currently, the coin's major use case is anonymous payments. However, our Steadfast Storm release scheduled for January 1st, 2020 will enable UNApps via Utility Nodes (decentralized private applications via our version of Masternodes). Our first major UNApp we have planned is our decentralized VPN service, in which can be used for free. Or, you may use a higher priority bandwidth tier at a specific cost per Mb (the costs will be in-conjunction with our TX fee structure, thus will be very low). You will also be able to stake your UPX with a Utility Node (in which will act as exit relays on our anonymity network). Staking will provide dividends of 20% of all block rewards (divided by however many utility nodes there are). You may read more about Steadfast Storm here.

The GPUs are using way more electric power and you have to buy them.
Old mobile phones which are no longer used are free and draw insignificant amount of power.
They are small and require no special cooling (if configured properly).

Price is taken from some of the Exchanges UPX is listed at. As you can imagine it varies from day to day.

Is this project still alive or developers left this? As I see their github has not any activity since July (for more than month):

https://github.com/uPlexa?tab=repositories

What news here at all? When mainnet is should be released?
yup, devs can take a break sometimes, and we should be glad that they're able to do this, as we see so many burnouts in the crypto sphere...

"mainnet" has been for a while already, have you just given the quickest look at the project / community? Cheesy

check the network hashrate too, that's usually one of the signs of the status of the project.... people don't mine dead coins Wink

Please join the Discord and see the Devs progress yourself.
Mainnet is available for several months, even the tile of the topic you are writing at is called Mainnnet.
As you know August is vacation month and all the sweet stuff will happen in September/October.
And if you follow the project, they will be sweet news indeed Smiley
