Hi friends,

As far as I know, bitcoin payments take a little time to approve. Will these approval times make it difficult to use bitcoin in our daily lives?
For example, I would get a coffee from Starbucks. Do I have to wait for approval to pay for what I have done for hours?

Honestly daily life Bitcoin is bit difficult to implement why, cause sometimes it takes hours to approve and then sometimes days. Now you order a coffee today and it's get cleared after 3-5 days who can wait for it. One thing that could be worked out would be upload your btc to Starbucks wallet or card. And then use it. For payment. That's the only way I think a prepaid card or directly sending btc in the wallets of the general day to day stuff and use till it's limits is over. But there are not many shop keepers who shall accept this solution.

I heard that Starbucks already started to accept bitcoin as payment. I don't imagine how it work exactly, because of I have no place here that would accept bitcoin. But I think such transactions in place that work with bitcoin all operations provided as fast as with a card.

Starbucks accepts btc - thats good. I don't think startbucks in my country will start accepting though but its a good start.

I hope more store adopt the use. bitcoin should work to improve this if it does not want alternatives. What will be required of any alternative cryptocurrency is to gain the status of bitcoin, improve the acceptability, make it available  and get a faster transaction but if bitcoin improve on this with its acceptability it will thrive over all
Im hoping that upgrading of bitcoin system too, Im sure in the future bitcoin will improve more than todays system. We can just hope that devs make a way to make it possible.

I have read it here in the forum where they mentioned the stores in Brazil are already accepting bitcoin. If they are, chances is that more and more store there will accept bitcoin. Things like these should be on TV.

If you have a business, it would be a pain for your customers to wait until the payment has been confirmed. If the blocks will stay behind, who would wait at a restaurant or minimarket for a few hours to confirm their transaction? In this case, they need to accept the payment even if it is not confirmed yet, like Microsoft and Steam does.

Yes, for the business that require instant approval of payments like grocery stores and food places, The bitcoin cannot be used buz it will take few minutes for confirmation and the queue of customer will be long and long due to transactions confirmation delay. Need to fix this issue with block chain.

If you are always in a hurry then paying bitcoins to starbucks is time consuming. Even 1 confirmation will take very long if the miners fee is low. But if you are not in a hurry paying starbucks using bitcoin is a good experience in your coffee hours. But for me bitcoin is not yet ready to be used in offline shops, if there are many customers there will be a delay in the payments that can cause bad experience to the store and also to the customers.

There would always need for confirmation whenever we need a transaction regarding Bitcoin I think it is not a grudging wait for anyone if a few minutes have been wasted by confirming with bitcoin and I think it wouldn't have to be minutes but more of a seconds the way transaction occur in bitcoins, well there are many different Bitcoin wallets out there and there are many kinds of transactions we have using bitcoin, I think the speed have interruption regarding your internet connection.

The confirmations actually depend upon the person who accepts bitcoin.
Some require 4 some 3 some 6.
So in places like coffee shops, they may approve your payments with 1 confirmation. No matter!

I have ever only used bitcoin online so the confirmation times have not been that frustrating for me.

I can imagine it would depend on the merchant and how they would verify the payment as being made, if they are happy to see that it is on the blockchain and awaiting confirmation that would speed things up, this could cause some issues as someone might pay a minuscule fee that will take forever to go through which would cause the merchant to have to wait to get their payment.

If the future updates go ahead it should help this situation.

I usually buy games in exchange for bitcoin, so for me, btc is the nice option because you don't need any investment.

I don't have where to use bitcoins in my daily life, that's why I don't think about slow transactions. When I need something I do on time and I don't bother with confirmation.
I will need to wait few more years before bitcoin come in shops in my city, maybe more. For now there isn't even talking about it.

I have not used bitcoin for direct payments, because in my country rarely accept bitcoin. But I think if bitcoin used as direct payments it is going to take a few minutes to confirm the payment, it is better to use a fiat because it does not require the process. Bitcoin is less suitable I think if it is used for direct payments that need development again to be used for direct payments, but for online payments bitcoin very superior because it would be more efficient.

Hi friends,
As far as I know, bitcoin payments take a little time to approve.
Yes, there are times that bitcoin's transaction hasn't been confirmed immediately. There are even transactions that are pending for days. But I don't experience that yet as most of my transactions are just for several minutes.

Will these approval times make it difficult to use bitcoin in our daily lives?
Not really, it depends on how those people that you are going to deal with needs that bitcoins you are going to pay them. It is normal that there is a waiting time before a transaction will be approved/confirmed. I don't see this as a problem.

For example, I would get a coffee from Starbucks. Do I have to wait for approval to pay for what I have done for hours?

As long as you already sent the payment to them, it will already show that you had paid them. Then that's the time of waiting for approval will enter.

I can't say how much is possible to use buttons daily in real, life because it is not well known yet, but I can use it daily online, for example, I use it in a casino, buy something online, and Im use it daily trading investments
Because Bitcoin is made to be use online. It is impractical actually to be used by people in a local store they will just make the Queue longer because it will take time for your payment to be confirmed. Also there is the possibility that it would be mixed up by other payments if the store only handles one wallet it could cause a lot of headache in both parties.

I don't think there is a need to wait for the confirmation, if a fee recommended or little above is paid you'll get faster confirmations. Other than this once after sending the receiver end gets the transacted amount under the unconfirmed transaction list. This itself helps the receiver a hope of receiving the payment.

How fast is the fastest confirmation of payments? And how much to pay for quick approval?
Bitcoin blocks are generates every 10 minutes, so in theory as long as you are using proper fee your transaction should be included as confirmed in the next mined block.
But usually with standard fee your transaction might have a delay between 1-3 blocks.
Miners will usually incorporate transactions with the highest fee/byte ratio first so the higher your fee is, the faster your tx will be confirmed.

If you want to check which fee should you use, check this site: https://bitcoinfees.21.co/

Yes confirmation time can be a little upsetting sometimes, hopefully in the future this kind of things can be reduce, if the transaction speed being increase i am sure many store will start to adapt bitcoin and more user will be happy to used bitcoin
it is a constraint that we face today. increasingly now the longer transaction time. one of the things we can do is to multiply the number of fees on transactions conducted. however it has violated the principle of bitcoin, because bitcoin is used to shrink the cost of shipping fee.
