First of all, I would say everything has an advantage and disadvantage. There's a lot of positivity and negativity on the internet
But we have the choice to make use of it however we want, if you inculcate self discipline you would only use it positively
The internet has made a lot of things easier, most especially making money.. There's a lot of things we can get busy with
That will yield positive results

One thing wey I notice about internet be say, since no be you get access to the back end of the service you’re using, all your informations wey you don submit for that place don already dey saved for their own side and dem fit use am track you down at all time if need be. Make we forget how kidnappers and other criminals for the country dey take no dey traceable by the authorities, it is either they don’t want to do it or it will cost them a lot to do such things.

With the way technology don advance now, I no sure say any criminal fit escape crime again as long as something about dem don enter internet, even if na phone call dey make, dem fit track dem down but here things doesn’t work dat way and is becoming a prevailing issue that needs to be tackled as soon as possible. If you don’t want the internet to know anything about you, don’t give them that information you don’t want them to know about.

This matter now true  the internet is just like the popular saying of nothing is hidden under the earth. The level of data storage of internet for those who do programming nothing one will delete that will affect the internet those stories of hidden chart, picture messages etc is like surface action the inside is not affected. Example in programming only a back end programmers who designed the net can delete completely. anything deleted is stored somewhere in the net and can be recovered anytime .

I never knew about this until now. I was thinking that deleting browsing history will suffice but never knew that it was never a way of erasing my digital footprint.

Na the ogbonga matter naim you don Yan so, the set of persons wey I dey pity pass na all those people wey think say dem smart come dey go save their seed phrase for Google drive or any other online software. Anything wey make hacker fit get access to your email make you just know say your assets for you wallet don go be that. Facebook no dey safe at all to even save our pictures because, minus say person fit hack am, immediately you post your picture for Facebook, your picture quality dey drop asap. Though for memory sake I prefer google drive to take save pics but that one no mean say  e dey 100% safe.

Nothing comot for everything wey you talk. technology dey advance and naso e dey bring more harm to us even thou say e dey bring good but the bad Side of it dey Hunt us down. Posting things on internet na something wey be say e do. Turn to peoples way of life. Which dem no go fit do without am. But we still need to be conscious of the things we post like documents wey contain property wey worth a big amount of money because if them hack a document wey you upload online like Gcloud or any online privacy app. And you think say e dey safe, if them hack that online account everything is gone. Just like my Facebook account wey I dey always upload my photos and that if my baby, thinking say e go dey save for there since na internet say e go dey safe from rat or termites eating the pictures, to my greatest suprise them hack my account 2secinds all my data finish na White man wey I no no before come full my profile. So that one na another lesson for online upload experience wey j get.

Let know that Anything when get an advantage also comes with disadvantages, but many people often forget about the disadvantages of certainly because of things they are enjoying them. Especially when it comes to the internet, many people keep doing anything without knowing that the internet is keeping everything we used to do. There are many secrets that have been exposed now and those that own the secret are shocked because they never expected it but all is due to they forget about it disadvantages because those secrets are saved on the internet for their personal reasons, so we need to be very careful in anything we do on the internet so we not get ourselves harm one day. So let's know that not everything we carry to the internet.

No matter how technology or the Internet may seems to have some negative impact on humans, I still applaud the introduction of internet and technology because if no be dis things me and you for just dey waka like blind people wey no no where we dey go. Technology or rather the Internet don help human being in so many ways to solve human problems because sometimes I dey imagine weda this internet na witch or wizard wey e be say almost anything wey you tell am make him do for you in go do am.

Many people take the Internet  for granted forgetting that the Internet don't forget things  that is why one needs to be very careful with how the Internet is being handled. Someone of the information we think we have taking away from the Internet are still there. The Internet has some vital data containing information belonging to you so far as you are dealing with the Internet. We just have to be careful how we  use the Internet so that we don't land ourselves in trouble that will cost us much.

The internet can be seen in both terms, can be beneficial and still harmful. The internet is wild beyond what we ever imagined, the data holds by this internet is surprising, most things we never taught about are what they hold as facts about a user. Who would believe with only scanning one of your picture on a site will dive deep and fetch out all of your pictures on the internet no matter where you have posted them it will fetch them out, see how scaring the internet has become.

As it is that it has advantage, so it has disadvantages and as such, one should be careful how they use the internet to store their information because if there be any hack into your data, it can be used against you for any purpose. So it would be in your best interest to protect your details jealously and minimise the rate at which you store personal information online.

Omo my brother you actually hit the nail on its head for this talk because na very legit information, many people think say there are actually secure or untraceable but they don't know that everything and everyone who uses the internet is actually recorded. Well for us wey this part of the world might think that the technology no dey advanced reached for them to be traced but my brother if you actually check well you go see say things have really changed and the number of high tech development is so alarming to the extent that everyone is actually recorded and if no be like you talk about the restrictions many of us for don suprised how our information would be used to do things against or traced us down.

The Internet (International network) , was designed to educate and connect people around the world together, but the way most persons they use internet now , e done leave the initial plan of bringing and connecting people together to where all kind of naked stuffs are being posted, but like I dey always tell people anything wey get advantage get disadvantage, so make we concentrate on the advantage and forget the disadvantage, if not for internet  me and you no for they for this forum they chat, so make we enjoy the advantage and forget the dangers of it, in the same time preventing the dangers from happening.

Watin u talk make sense well well, our data dey the internet, from our Banks details, to our academic details and a whole lot of details is out there, just that there are some security protections attached to it, however it doesn't stop the fact that our data are vulnerable to the unsuspecting public. So we need to guide our information out there, the internet is wild so protect whatever information you have out there against scammers. There are still some people that still try to save some of the most important formation they have offline or have it as a raw data instead of saving it on the internet, all these are means they put in place just to protect their own data.

It's true the internet has so much information about us and if this informations enters  the wrong hand it will be very dangerous, i don't believe that there is a safe place in the internet not at all, we are only promised a little security or privacy but not total privacy. If companies decided to release the information of its users then we would not be safe at all.

There are places that they promise us encrypted messages or activities but it's not still encrypted, it only hidden to us but to people that can access them it's not. Have you held of the dark web this place people's identities (internet activities)/information are being sold or hacked activities are being traded for money. If we read the terms and conditions of each service we use online you will find areas that they said that our privacy is determined by governments if it's required by the right authority then it will be surrendered.

Even with the suggested search engines that seems private if looked into the activities will still be uncovered. 

You can still have privacy on the internet, it's because of the privacy that a lot of criminals hasn't been caught even when they're active on the internet. Na you no know how to stay private because alot of tools dey to use make yourself more anonymous on the internet. There are a lot of apps that are paid apps and when use can increases your privacy, dem no dey free and not accessible openly unless you know where to go look to see them. The world is a small village, we're getting connected everyday so our data supposed dey online for easy access to anybody wey need am aroun the world.

The internet is dangerous when our information gets into the wrong hands but in the right hands e no dey dangerous. You as a person na for you to control what's out there and na wetin make dem say no be everything you go dey post for social media. Something wey happen to you no suppose go social media so you go fit get some privacy.


That's why it's the internet, dem say the internet never forgets and no be lie so you suppose dey careful wetin you dey put out to the world, even for the forum you need watch yourself make you no put yourself for wahala as the internet never forgets. Even Internet self nah big scam because them fit even do you anything through the help of the Internet, as long as you are using the Internet you are not safe because you can be traced.
Like you said, a lot of people would have gone to jail based illegal things on the internet or from offline, and all this can be done if one is making use of the internet.
The Internet have make a lot of things to be more easy to the extent that one can stay here and know what's happening in other part of the world through the help of phone calls and all the rest.
As long as deleted things can still be recovered, then there is nothing like delete in the internet because as the real owner have deleted them and he or she don't want them anymore, someone can still find it even without their concert.
Honestly speaking, I feel more pity for those that always register on some fake sites and still verify somethings with their personal identification details, the owner of those sites can sell of those details to orger illegal people.
