No it's not.  You used deposited funds to buy a guitar tuner.  That's just a normal everyday expense, not an investment.  How does a guitar tuner generate any money?  I can see that if you use it and become famous, yeah I can see that argument.  But what about until then?  You're not earning any money (yet) from your deposits.  So where does the money to pay the interest come from?
1.36 BTC is a substantial amount of 400+.

Huh?  Even assuming you meant to say "isn't", I still don't know what you mean.  I'm just asking how you make money if you spend most of your deposits on personal items.  Say I were to send you $500 with the understanding that I'd get $600 back in a month.  Where does that extra $100 come from?

See, banks usually use deposited funds in other investment opportunities which then make money.
That's what I do.

Dank lied when he said he'd make a custom beat for user 420.  He had no intention of doing so because he does not possess the skills to do so.  When called out on it he again lied by saying "you clearly have never produced an instrumental" implying that it takes much more time than two days to make an arrangement.  Clearly, as evidenced by his "guitar playing," dank has never produced an instrumental, nor does he possess the equipment to do so, or the slightest degree of knowledge to do so.  The fact that he spouted off such lies without a second thought  -- lies that he had absolutely no reason to even tell, i.e. completely unprovoked and voluntary lies -- indicates that he's a compulsive liar.
Anyone can put together a shitty beat in a couple of minutes.  420 had already received another beat, that I feel was pretty good.  I did not have the time to make a beat of that quality.  I already corrected my error, but I will do it again, I shouldn't have talked in certainty, my bad.

The reason I was going to make a beat in the first place was that I was contemplating producing music with guitar, but I since chose to focus on guitar.

You only lie to yourself when you lie to others.

Thank you for answering me!  I'm still a bit confused though.  If you had the money to buy, say, a new guitar tuner without client's funds, why use them anyway?  I guess I'm missing the part of the whole process that makes you a "Bank" instead of just getting payday loans from people.
Senbonzakura wanted to know what his funds would be put towards, to abide by Sharia law.

Okay.  So how do you make any money?  I mean, a dude deposits 1 btc.  Let's say you spend that on new strings for your guitar.  2 weeks later he withdraws his 1 btc plus interest.  Where does the money to pay that interest come from?

See, banks usually use deposited funds in other investment opportunities which then make money.  Part of that money pays for the intrest on deposits, and the rest is the bank's profit.  But you don't seem to be doing anything with people's deposits, other than spending them.

I'm confused.  So this dude makes a deposit, which you use to buy a guitar tuner.  ...What happens when he wants his money back?  Assuming it's before you're THE WORLD'S GREATEST MUSICIAN EVER, where do you get the money to send to him?  Are you going to have to return your new guitar tuner?

I'm not trolling you dank.  I just honestly don't understand how you can use a deposit to buy a guitar tuner, and still be able to return that deposit.  Please, explain it to me man.
I have more than 1.36 BTC.

Honestly, dude, you're just making yourself sound stupid.

You pay off loans accidentally and unconsciously, and I sound stupid?

Dank Bank is not a ponzi.  With two clients, really?  You're a joke.

Fine, you're a ponzi failure/wanna be.  Still called a ponzi.

He clearly said "with Dank Bank" and your cherry picking a post he had made where he was referring to his personal loans that he was involved with before Dank Bank.

You know, "dank" is another username that has never used "you're" correctly either.   Undecided

Anyway, didn't mean to cherry pick.  I wasn't aware he ran a previous ponzi scam (paying off "loans" with other loans) before he started his current ponzi scam.
What are you talking about?  I always say you're.  Way to set yourself up.

I paid off individual BTC loans with other loans, accidentally, unconsciously, around a year ago.  "this is a practice I haven't done for a while as I have learned just how slippery of a slope that can be."

I learned, back then, that's what makes a ponzi, so I stopped doing it.

mlawrence, next time you throw bullshit around, make sure you can back up your statements.

If I ever throw BS around I'll do that.  I've shown your "bank" is a ponzi just a few posts ago.  Here is proof you lie, and this is the last time I will post this proof.  Your memory issues are your own problem.

fgervais, I have never used debt from another person's loan, to pay interest, with Dank Bank.

I'd be lying if I said I never paid a loan off with another loan (at least partially), but this is a practice I haven't done for a while as I have learned just how slippery of a slope that can be.

Like Judge Judy always says "You don't need a good memory if you tell the truth."

Also, something I just thought of: If you are located in the US, you should probably check in to the issue of calling your operation a bank. I'd be a little weary of the repercussions of that considering everything that's been going on recently in the bitcoin community with the SEC.

Dank, can you give a ballpark figure regarding your parents financial security? Nothing too specific necessary, but are they like middle class American's who own a home and have income, or are they wealthy? If push comes to shove and Dank Bank had some short term liquidity issues, would they be able to back you?
They're upper middle class, there will not be an issue though, my finances have never been better.
