ETH is rebounding now on polo but my btc are still at 0 confirmations.

Eth deposits are currently disabled on Polo. When they open you're going to see a flood of selling, so I don't know why you'd be so eager to buy.

Are there other places where the eth could have been dumped? Could it affect bitcoin's price if a hacker dumped a load of eth for bitcoins, then everyone starts panicking in case he dumps the bitcoins?

I read that it's locked up in a "child DAO" until July 14th or something.  So the devs will apparently have some time to figure something out.

If there's a hack then this is really serious.  Perception is everything in crypto, especially in these times of doubt.  Some people have had enough of the devs' shortcomings that result in people losing their hard earned money.

Now the question is will the DAO be viewed as a joke?  Will the devs that are building Ethereum projects abandon ship and look somewhere else to create and run their wares?

How does this failure reflect on Slock.it?

Another truly bad time in the history of crypto.  In the next few hours, expect every crypto news website and blogs to have a field day on this.

maybe it will all end well. Hacker wont be able to sell his ETH. Might be a good idea to buy but I dont have guts.

yeah right, first of all the creators might have done this on purpose or there was a real hacker, so either way they feel a mandatory at the moment to tell all the people that everything will be solved, their money wont be gone, so people dont just dump the price, but it is how it is, they messed up, its not fine at all, i doubt that these messages will help get back ethereum after this whole thing to the heights where it has been before

I feel sorry for the people who invested a lot.

so do I ... crypto is a tough game

most of all people lose money on investing. trying to make a big payday with risky investments they know nothing about. if they would not lose it here they would lose it down the road they are to inpatient and beliving in going all in.
