Thank you i had forgotten about that write up. ill set the temp limit and see how we go.

Gday gents. being in Australia we get some hot temps. today was the first day over 30 in my area. My miners have been shutting down. first on 950 auto and now on 900 auto. Iam assuming that when the temps stay over 50 degrees it will shut off. Looking at the json file it is set to shutdown at 50 degress. has any one changed the temp to 60 or higher?  Iam running the 9.30 software. Or do you reckon re doing the thermal paste will help out enough? The miners are in my garage which isn't plastered so has ok air movement.  Thanks.

Hi, go to the message thread #174...I used these settings suggested by Mordred for my Z1+ and it works as my machine core temperature gets to 52-53 degrees Celsius but it still runs fine.

On the auto stop which settings do you use for the fans? lowerfanspeed in and lowerfanspeed out

It’s 1:30 am in China, any improvement on the income?

Discount coupon is valid until 31 october. Why not november? Because 1st of november nothing will change and people will mark them as a lier. I wrote before write a review for zig 1 in dayun.company and see what happens when they publish. They write good words and 5 star and use your name like it is yours. Never trust any of their words...

I think dayun.company is not Z1 official website.

hi, my Z1 stopped mining suddenly as I've discovered the dashboard reports outtake fan speed to "0"

of course the fan is connected and running, but most likely the logic board don't recognise anymore the RPM sensor. Some component possibly has gone...

any idea how to set by software to avoid FAN speed check?

any other idea?
thanks!

Remember a simple thing: nowadays mainly only miming hardware manufacturers and hardware resellers earn money in crypto mining  sphere.

Saw few comments about the core temperature on the interface, my Z1+ runs in a range from 47-52 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Johannesburg has been around the 35 degree mark over the past few days. Is this okay or should I be concerned?

Hi

what it like there in JHB with power cuts and stuff, how you manage the downtime when no electricity ? also whats the going price for electricity now ?

just curious, didnt think there would be a lot of people willing to mine crypto in SA.

bitreo

The power grid has stabilized a bit so the power cuts are minimal, but still happens...when you least expect it to. Considering a solar solution to mitigate the power risk but that also comes a massive cost. The cost of electricity works on a step pricing scale. On average it starts from $0.12 p/kw and it increases with usage. This machine will cost around $140 pm. Mining is a bit expensive here. Just to give you an idea, the Z1+ sells for around $8800, due to all the taxes and the week Rand. Then add the power challenges, poor internet stability and trading fees. So you need to know what you are doing and the ROI takes 2 or 3 times longer than the many other countries.

Are you an ex-South African?

Well, you might be interested in what I have been starting lately.

hello to everyone

i bought the 23/10/2018  Z1+. from the very first beginning i started to use it at nicehash pool. the problem is the it never-never go on average above 6,57gh/s. they promised 7.2gh/s. wtf is going on here?

i overclocked it to 1150 frequency. nothing was improved. i overclocked it with putting auto frequency to "1" at miner.json file. again nothing happened.

i dont know what to do to increase the hashing. this is rediculous. from the asicminervalue.com profit prediction, i am behind 3-4 euros.

can you please advise how can we overclock this thing?

i am using 20181015 firmware. it came with this firmware installed.

do you think i have a difesient asic miner? is it problematic or it is natural this hash rate?

at what gh/s do you have your Z1+. please reply only those who have Z1+

Also considering using a hosting service, in SA  Not too many miners...evident through the lack of interest when mining machines go up for sale.

If you ordered a Z1+, but they sent you a Z1... how would you know? (Outside is identical?). Is the difference really only firmware?

interface shows you what is z1+ or z1. in the other hand both devices almost the same. they changed some software configuration files.
