i think i might have a problem. I've been mining on an email account for the past few weeks that I lost. I reinstalled windows thinking I could bring my receiving address with me.... I have 5.02 coins there, I can prove who I am- is there any way I can send those coins to a different address or somehow add the receiving address to my new client? I just made an account for my new email and have switched, I don't wanna lose those coins though....

Anyone else having trouble viewing all their info on their 'MY ACCOUNT' page on deepbit? When I go there I get the news listing on the left and the last few work units in the CENTER (instead of on the right) and all my details are missing (email, balance, send to address, workers, etc). I've tried several different web browsers and the result is the same. All the other pages look correct, it's just the 'MY ACCOUNT' page that's not right.
I got a couple of similar reports, but can't find the cause yet because it looks just like always to me and there were no changes in the page layout recently. I suspected that some browser update broke it, but if you tried different browsers then it's not the case.

UPD: Got a screenshot from one of users, checking it.

UPD2: Looks like it was caused by "" element on the page. Fixed.

Just checked again and everything is back to normal. Thanks for the quick response  Cheesy

Think for yourself
-- pit.deepbit.net ping statistics ---
7 packets transmitted, 5 received, 28% packet loss, time 22430ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 1372.807/1537.300/1640.728/97.404 ms, pipe 2

Packet loss isn't good.  But 22.4 second latency?!?!?  I have never seen that before!
Sam

Look at it closely. ping was running for 22s, the average rtt was 1.5s (admittedly still high, but that's apparently been resolved).

Ah, the fine print.  Smiley

yes it is fixed now i think . i did not know downloading a torrent would have this behaver.

If you're on DSL or other such internet with super low upload bandwidth, that's what kills it. The downloading not so much. But once you start reseeding a torrent and uploading it also, as your upload speed reaches the ISP's cap it starts throttling the piss out of your total bandwidth. Check your torrent app settings and disable uploads to relieve that issue in the future.

i am using GUIminer i get a message from the miner saying "connection problems".  I lose connection for only a few seconds.

i can open the website.

i dont know how to ping pit.deepbit.net.

If your using Windoze Click on Start>Run then type in cmd and click ok and that will open a DOS Box.  In that type in "ping pit.deepbit.net -t" and press enter.  Use CTRL-C to stop it.

Alternatively press the Windows key on the left side of the keyboard and the R key at the same time to get the run dialog.

I have been having "connection problems" for a few days. Is this DDoS?
No DDoSes were detected in last weeks.
What kind of "connection problems" do you have ? Can you ping pit.deepbit.net ? Is there any packet loss ?
Can you open the website ?

Is there a difference for you between renaming old one and creating another ?
Without knowing Sannyasi's specifics, you'd have to re-create all your workers, join your mining team again, lose all your stats, set up your preferences again...
Well, recreating all workers is mandatory in both cases because worker name is linked to account name.

I'll think about possibility of "cloning" accounts, but don't really think that it's very demanded feature.
There, went and fixed your quote for you.

What's your second case? Mine is renaming an account, which would allow you to simply change the worker names during the rename. That means that the user will have to adjust the worker login details, but won't have to actually re-create them on deepbit, losing all the stats.

I do feel like a noob posting this. Anyway, my email was taken over or something a few months ago and I cannot use it anymore and I don't want to- it's dead now. Anyway,  I can't find an option for switching my email to my new spot. I can provide any documentation needed if you or anyone else doubts who I am. I'd really like to keep the account without making a new one. This is my place for mining and either way it will stay that way, forgive me if i've overlooked something in the user setup menu, please point me to it if i missed it- and all of you take care!
Currently there is no way to change your e-mail address. You can just create a new account.
