hmm is something wrong with my bitcoin client? it's been sent since 11/29/2011 14:59... but 0/unconfirmed for hours.... weird... any one has this happened before?
1. Check the number of blocks in your client.
2. Look at your transaction hash in the payments table on deepbit site. By clicking on a timestamp you will get a link to blockexplorer.
If the TX is really unconfirmed then BBE will say that there is no such transaction. In this case take TX hash from this link and look for it at the http://bitcoincharts.com/bitcoin/ (for example - http://bitcoincharts.com/bitcoin/#1dbe5cb9959f8f794636177a7059e7d4c3490418ea97323352f4e60044f45be6 )
It's a network queue for transactions waiting to be confirmed.
You will either see it there or not. If you don't see it on blockexplorer AND bitcoincharts then you may need to contact me, use e-mail or PM to send me your login name (it's sometimes happens with long chains of unconfirmed TXes)

the auto-payment has not worked for me since the start of November I see from looking at my history to see when I started doing my twice a day withdraws I do having discovered it not working anymore.
Autopayment is triggered after 24 hours since last payment. So if you requested manual payments twice a day it never happened.

Well just about seven hours later and the cold storage seems to be still keeping them cool...
By looking at the transactions list you can see that more than 200 BTC were paid just in last hour.
I sent more, hope next autopayment will resolve this queue.

Ah, didn't even check that. Do I use my username and password for deepbit in the email and password slots? Or do I use my wallet address for my username and just make up a password?
If you don't create any new workers then your e-mail is your login and your deepbit password is your mining password.

I would just like to stress what was said earlier:  MAKE A NEW WORKER WITH A DIFFERENT PASSWORD!  Otherwise you're sending your login and password in plaintext.  Nobody should ever be using a worker with a password even resembling their actual account password.

Okey Dokey Lokey
I'm a noob first of all, so pardon me if what I use to describe this aren't all the way correct. I've registered on deepbit.net already due to a recommendations by someone on a forum I've asked about BitCoin mining and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get set up for DeepBit with GUIMiner.

As mentioned, I'm using GUIMiner and I cannot find what I'm supposed to put in GUIMiner for: Server, Host, Port, Username, and Password.

Any extra flags that would be worthwhile would also be a help, I'm running 2x 5870's. I already have (-v -w 128 -f 1) is this okay?

Can someone break it down Barney style for me please? (Maybe it would be a good idea to put a noob guide on the website?)
I think that GUIminer lets you just choose deepbit as your pool and fill those fields automatically.
If it can't, then host is pit.deepbit.net, port is 8334, username is your username and password is your password (actually I recommend creating a new worker at your account page to avoid using same password for mining and website).

Yeah, Within the GUIminer dropdown boxes for "server" Just pick deepbit

Is the instant payment working? Haven't mined for a while and decided to get my accumulated coins. First time it said "wait for auto payment" then it said "please wait 2 minutes". Apparently the second is a flood filter, but it means the first request is acknowledged. Though it isn't, since 2 hours later my balance is the same. Same thing happens now.
At this moment the payment system awaits for new batch of bitcoins from cold storage. Sorry for the delay, payments will be resumed very soon. Sometimes this happens when people withdraw more funds than usual (this time, possibly, caused by BTC/USD rate jump).

Why am I always a few shares short with what you claim I submitted And what my miners say I submitted
5-7 shares every 250 or so
Do you mean that 5-7 are "lost" of every 250 ?
Which miner do you use ? Is it showing those 250 as "accepted" or 250 not including stale shares ?
Have you tried to wait some minutes to see if the counter will show correct value later ?

i think i might have a problem. I've been mining on an email account for the past few weeks that I lost. I reinstalled windows thinking I could bring my receiving address with me.... I have 5.02 coins there, I can prove who I am- is there any way I can send those coins to a different address or somehow add the receiving address to my new client? I just made an account for my new email and have switched, I don't wanna lose those coins though....
First try to recover your old e-mail password. Usually most webmail services provide some sort of password recovery function.
I've tried getting back into my old email a bunch of times, all there is for my old email is a hint to what my password is, which I know the answer to.... but somehow the password has been changed so the answer to the question is useless.
...
What can I do to get to these 'stuck' coins?
e-mail me and I'll try to ask you some questions about your old account.

I mentioned in this thread about my email problem some time ago when I was trying to change my account email but there's no option for switchign emails- but I [stupidly] kept mining with it since I wanted to keep track of my stats, payment history and all that. I didn't think reinstalling my wallet would be a big deal when I reinstalled windows since I had no BTC in it. I stopped mining on my old account, made a new one and started on it just a few minutes after from the same IP address if you can check that and I know the login info for my old deepbit account so I could still log in and mine with it. What can I do to get to these 'stuck' coins?

old account email is: [email protected]
