Think for yourself
what is up with 24hr avg???

is there a problem?

Depends on your point of view.  Decreasing network hash rate causes fewer blocks to be solved.  But then it also decreases the difficulty.

Sam

i know luck will vary but over time it's all smoothed out... but I've not seen this kind of number before... looks really weird...

Yep, probably because we came from such a high difficulty and have been dropping and people have stopped mining because of the depressed price.  The total hash rate was around 15Ths and now its under 11.  I keep thinking things will level out but it seems to keep dropping.  I'm sure it'll pickup again at some point.  But I wouldn't mind some more difficulty drops and then have it level out at some point.

I wonder how the new GPU's will come into play.  Seems like the life of the current GPU's that do well with this kind of work is coming to an end and will be replaced by devices that do a much lower hash rate.

between a rock and a block!
Are there any plans to implement merged mining?

This.

what does this mean?

Merged mining basically lets you submit the same hash to both Bitcoin and NameCoin. For the miner, it means you can get bitcoins and namecoins at the same time for the same effort you're already producing.

It's very new, and there isn't a lot of documentation, and there are still some valid concerns about the integrity of the process.  From protocol issues (which are over my head), to other issues such as pool-ops implementing merged mining without telling the miners, keeping the namecoins for themselves.

For deepbit, I imagine it'd be in poor taste to implement merged mining, as their massive hashrate would dwarf the current NameCoin network.  But this does leave Deepbit in a peculiar position - will miners stay if they can get increased rewards elsewhere (currently ~ 30% more, based on current NMC exchange rates)

oh... I know what merged mining is... I thought that my post about what's up with 24 hr rate was answered with merged mining comment, so I was a little confused by that...

i guess they are not related though...

Ok. I'm back but testing PPS. I forgot the real reason i left was there was a delay sometimes in showing my active working on the "account" page. I noticed this first like 4 weeks ago? Anyway here's a screenshot.

Anyway I want to know if I can put 4 gpus on one worker? or is that bad? spread them on 2? any suggestions? FYI i'm on wifi and left cuz i had occassional "disconnection errors" or something these last few weeks.

just me or every since difficulty changed. I haven't been getting more bitcoins per day. I think 2 months ago I was doing .75-.89 btc @ 1400+ mh/s  that as when it was 5000+ gh/s pool and 1.877 diff. Now it's 1.68?ish with 4200 gh/s pool and i'm getting .68 to .82 per day. I'm lucky if i hit even 8. Note: switched to btcguild til i can figure out what is wrong. Also been getting some form of ddos of some kind. So it kinda sucks if i mine .85 bitcoins for 20 hours and get dissconnection errors for 4.

wtf cant payout ?

what is this nonsense ?
No problems here dude.

When I attempt to manually withdraw coins, via "instant payout".  The below is seen.

Please_wait_for_autopayment!

Is your balance equal to or greater than your auto payment threshold?
Sam

Equal to or greater than...that's the first time I've heard the reference being called on, in reverse.

To answer the question, no.  Current balance < Auto Payout Threshold.  Although, that should have 0 affect on being able to withdraw manualyl.

Agreed, but I was speculating maybe the auto payment was already in a que to be paid.

The auto payments go out once a day and about the same time each day.  I had auto payments wait till they were 50% over my set threshold but waited to pay until the same time it was payed the previous day.

But anyway that isn't the case so I'll shut up now Smiley
