Hi guys, its me again. Dunno why AGAIN my router could't reach deepbit.net (while on some checking page it was up). As some1 adviced I've changed DNS ips to google ones, but as we can see it didnt work. Any other ideas?
Can you ping deepbit.net ?
Do you see the website ?
What IP address do your DNS shows for deepbit.net ?

I can add "average BTC per previous 2 hours", for example.

It would be nice

Is it possible to add reward per minute or per hour measure to statistics table?
Reward per minute will vary wildly if you are using Proportional mode because it's different for each block.
Will average value per day enough or you want it to be more detailed ? I can add "average BTC per previous 2 hours", for example.

Bitcoin - helping to end bankster enslavement.
I use to be a software pirater for BBS back in the day they had the top uploader stats and I loved seeing my name up on the list.  There is something to be said about competition.  After all the bugs are worked out can this feature be added?
I can't publish user's e-mail address, so it would require them to set a special nickname for this. Otherwise it's possible.

Of course difficulty jump caused the decrease in the rewards. Also the DDoS protection that i'm currently using in causing some connection problems - that's why pool's fee is removed.

Yep you can't publish emails but you can make it an opt in kind of thing where the person adds a NICK to be published.

Not that you need more people mining but it would attract more people if you go above and beyond and break it down by some sort of class rating that allows even a low hash rate guy to feel special.

For example if there is a way to rank it by miners running so if you have only one miner you are of the class of one miner on one gpu or cpu you will find people working to get to the top of that class rating for no other reason but to be at the top 10 or top 100.

For example I look at the guy with 32 Ghashs and wonder how I can beat him.  Time to invest in FPGA boards! Smiley

Cheers

So some users are getting blocked -- caught in the dragnet, as it were?
Are you able to somehow identify the legit users, and filter out just the DDoS attack? Or is it basically impossible?
Usually not blocked, but the connection can break for 10 to 30 seconds sometimes. Also the LP connection may be interrupted too.

Bitcoin - helping to end bankster enslavement.

I'll switch back in 9 hours after I confirm 20 BTC in 24hrs but if I don't get 20 BTCs I will move back to btcmine

The amount you get in a given time frame is based 3 things:

1: The fees of the pool.

2: Your hash rate.

3: The number of blocks the pool finds.

Two of these are fixed, those being #1 and #2: #3 is down to luck. Due to the laws of probabilities #3 is not important over time. However, if you take a sample size as low as 24 hours #3 plays a large role. It would be foolish to base you decision on luck rather than to base it on the known factors.

Thanks for pointing out what I already knew but forgot.

Bitcoin - helping to end bankster enslavement.
Quick question I switched to btcmine.com last night and I am on track to get 20 BTC today with my 7 GHs.
My question is that I noticed on deepbit I was getting 24 coins for 6 GH but once the difficulty changed I dropped down to 16 with 7GHs.  Was this because of the DOS attack or is something wrong with the pool?

I'll switch back in 9 hours after I confirm 20 BTC in 24hrs but if I don't get 20 BTCs I will move back to btcmine.

BTW I only go proportional and what I like about btcmine is it's Top Miner list.  I'm number 2 on the board.

Im quite new to BTC mining. Is this normal (reward none)?
"None" is expected if...
1) You are using PPS mode (it's just not shown, but added to your balance).
2) This block was too short
3) There was no connection between your miner and the pool at that moment.

Im using Prop mode.

If I look back at my statistics, at least 50% is "reward none". Is that normal or is something acting up?

Thanks for the fast reply.

And reduce the fee for PPS, there is not so much risk when blocks are coming in so regularly thanks to this pool being the largest.
7% is the minimum possible PPS fee for our pool, it can't be any lower even in the "compensation" case like this.
