Hmm.

It looks like for the past 5 hours my total Mh/S isn't registering.  Here is the right hand of the account.  Is there something bugged?

Something wrong with the pool? When mining with deepbit I keep getting a "retry" and "error/connection" notification. I'm also getting a lot more stale shares than usual. I can't replicate the problem with other pools.
No, everything works (you can check this by looking at pool's total hashrate meter). PM me your login name so i'll check connection from pool to you.

I use an ATI Radeon X1900 Model.
GPU caps viewer says it has opencl 1.1, but at the openCL tab it only lists my amd athlon dualcore processor as openCL enabled device.
Maybe this belongs in another thread?  Wink

I tried mining on your pool with poclbm, and it kind of worked until I got the "Authentication failed, check hardware"-Error. Now, my GPU doesn't seem to support OpenCL, but my CPU does. Should I use another miner or can't I mine at all?
I don't think that it can be related to pool at all.
What GPU do you use ?

Do I have some benefits from that or it is just an information?
At this moment - no, just for curiosity.

Why some total shares in statistics page are bold?
The block with bold number was found by your miner.

By the way Ty, thanks for all of the great content you have contributed to this thread...I have been contributing to the deepbit pool for a couple of days now and all is smooth...learned a lot in a short time here!
Thanks Smiley

sorry let me rephrase that, my bitcoin address changed in my virtual wallet, but my address in deepbit stayed the same. Should i change the address on deepbit now so it might go to my wallet?
Oh Smiley That's not the problem at all.
All your old addresses are still usable, your bitcoin client will just show a new one each time

Just figured this out as well...but thought I would clarify a little further...

The bitcoin client will randomly change the visible address in your wallet...ostensibly to encourage anonymity.

However, any new address just gets added to your personal list of addresses under SETTINGS > YOUR RECEIVING ADDRESSES.

All of them will still work.

So, you don't need to change anything at deepbit...in fact, you may want to keep your payment address the same so you will be able to distinguish "payments from deepbit" from other payments.

Whether you do this really depends on whether being able to identify an aggregated total to that one address would bother you if someone were able to link that address to YOU.

For more info. on addresses and anonymity, check out the wiki pages:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Address
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Anonymity

my  bitcoin wallet address changed without me knowing and i already pressed instant payout before i checked, what should i do now?? Embarrassed
PM me your login name.
Since noone can change your bitcoin addres without email confirmation, I would recommend checking if your email is still under your control. Change your email password and then deepbit password.

Also, check if you have any trojans/viruses on your PC.
Have you used the same password for deepbit, e-mail and some other pool ?
