Is there a difference between f1 and f2.deepbit.net? if i use one over the other would i get less stale shares? where are the locations of them?
If you use cgminer, and load balance both 'pools' (f1 & f2),
you can use the 'java API stats' command to work out which is best for you.

It obviously depends on where you are and your network to determine which is best
(i.e. different for everyone)

does just pinging and judging the response time tell (thinking that farther away, more stale shares...)

but f1 doesn't ping ,f2 does

Poor impulse control.
Really bad run of luck the past 24h...

Average in last 24 hours: 3012477 (+61.4%)

If you want a 1.6% fee PPS, try MEI.DEEPBIT. You won't need to be concerned about luck that which shall not be named again.

And if you switch to another pool you will prob just jump into another bad luck period there.
Wait it out. I find any bad luck at deepbit is made up by the pool's uptime and stability.

Poor impulse control.
.... and it's possible to make them more divisible if somehow so many were lost that we needed even smaller denominations than a satoshi.

But isn't there a limited coins at the end?!!  there should be a xx time of idl for coins in wallets or inactive wallets :( this will suck if people keep loosing coin, it will crash the system at one point!   :-\
There is no other way. No one should ever take control of other people's coins even if they are idle.

No harm will be done to the system. Bitcoins are pretty divisible and everything will work fine even if more than 99% of all the coins are lost.

now i got a question,  lets say some guy has over 5000bitcoin in his wallet and gets lost. so this xxx amount of coins will never go back to the bitcoin system?, is there going to be an idl time for coins?

just wondering!  Huh

Lost coin is lost coin. People have lost more than 5000 btc in a corrupted wallet. Backups are your friend.

no for past week the site was down, on every system i pinged, but my GUIMiners was hashing, i even pinged the site from USA vnc and Canada and it was down too!!
Well, then someone else would certainly notice that :)

Also, ICMP(ping) was disabled on the main route to the website last week. That's why I asked to ping different address.
This doesn't means that the site is down, you just have to use the browser. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Did anyone else notice that the pool statistics are missing?
Says they are delayed by an hour, but they never show up for me...
That text about 1 hour delay is mostly related to the table itself.
