I got to say I was pleasantly surprised by BitShares' DEX. I find it to be way better than any other similar project because it's not only fast but also more user-friendly than it's competitors having also some amazing unique features such as Collateralized Smartcoins (digital tokens backed by BitShares' company shares such as bitUSD, bitEUR, bitCNY, and others which represent the same value as their underlaying physical asset making it possible to be redeemed as such) or Provable Order Matching Algorithm which basically makes it possible that given a set of orders, you will always be able to provably verify that these orders have been matched properly.

Anyone have any experience and knowledge using decentralized exchanges? I know theres a few out and more coming.  Very exciting! After all why have a decentralized system depending on a centralized exchange. Right? Just getting into this and realizing what a pain in the ass it is to be verified and have to use multiple exchanges to do what I need.  Ugh.  Angry
Only decentralized marketplace which i am using is etherdelta. I like it because there are no problems like there are on other exchanges(verification, waiting for coins, wallets in maintenance and all other issues).
It is very simple and I hope in future we will see more decentralized exchanges, not only for erc20, for altcoins too.
Strongly agree with this Wink
Now the Marketplace requires its members to verify, on the grounds of avoiding something undesirable, then decentralization is a strange thing to manifest Angry
Let's look at the presence of decentralized exchanges, not just for erc20 but also for AltCoin. is it possible? Huh Roll Eyes

I think that in the future everyone will move to decentralized exchanges. That's cool! It's cheap, safe, anonymous. A lot of pluses. All tokens remain on your blockchain. The main thing to avoid scammers.

Etherdelta is now the most popular and reachable exchange . I am using that, because that's very easy..but the negative thing - ED dumps price of altcoins so hard

DEX's are so needed in the crypto sphere that I can't believe there isn't a major one operating yet.  To realize the decentralized, uncensorable founding principle of crypto, a DEX is the logical next step and is needed to achieve that vision

they alreayd exist, you have etherdelta, waves. but they are still on beta, working on their product, the centralized one keeps the market for the moment, but soon the liquidity will flow on those platform.

With rules and regulations coming out against centralized exchanges and with crypto currency being ideologically known as a decentralized currency we need more decentralized exchanges ,we have quite a few exchanges now,but the volumes are not that huge like we see in centralized exchanges,we need more volumes in these decentralized exchanges and i am sure it will catch up in near future.

EtherDelta is a decent exchange for all Ethereum based tokens, but need to work on their inferface, WaveDex only fee token can be traded there and has low trading volume
You may need to read again, It's not about the decentralized exchange. the main thing about if there is a decentralized exchange and why most of people are still using the centralized exchange site.

The centralized exchange give the more convenience for majority of the person and to avoid such kind of manipulation.

it caused by the trade in the decentralized exchange site will a bit difficult rather than centralized exchange site If you are seeing on the etherdelta and someone able to buy such scam coin at a very high price because that was based on p2p transaction.

Etherdelta is most popular decentralized exchange and one of my favourite. Centralized exchanges that site own your private keys. If anyone hack that site your funds are not safe. Decentralized exchanges you own your private keys. It's hard to hack your account and security is maximum. I hope decentralized exchanges will be famous in future.

you can try etherdelta (for altcoin using eth platform), I think it is quite easy and you simply import the eth and private key into etherdelta or you can create a new account there. maybe you are confused how to use and trade there, because the way of buying and selling different from other exchanger.

You can the chrome based WAVES wallet which has a built in DEX. They are working on a revamp which looks good and more like a proper exchange. Surprisingly it also allows you to buy using a credit card! Although the price is a lot higher of course

I've been using Etherdelta for a while and I have to say, I'm a convert. I really thought that liquidity and time lag would be a problem for me, but it's been a pretty smooth experience. It's not great for intraday traders, but I generally just set orders and forget them, so it works for me. It's too bad there aren't more in-browser decentralized exchanges like this, as Etherdelta only works with ETH and ERC-20 tokens.

I'm definitely looking into  Blocknet and Bridgecoin. The betas looks great. I haven't quite figured out how they work yet, though. DEX staking seems pretty rewarding if these exchanges really take off.

EUR exchanges as of recently haven't had any breaches so I'm satisfied with Kraken, Bitstant and The Rock. I haven't felt the need to use a decentralized exchange and to be honest at this point I don't feel like a decentralized exchange could potentially offer a better service than the aforementioned centralized ones.

Etherdelta have  great feature of logging in thru your MEW. Unfortunately thats the only good thing that I've experienced. For some reason the quality of connection totaly depends on your location. I've been canstantly stucking on the loading screen and could only connect after using VPN (or TOR).
