The supply is way too high to be very interesting to me personally.

Stuff like this is considered to be a "historical collectible" by now even though its less than 7 years old. It was at the forefront of blockchain gaming, even if it never fully materialized (back then, appears to be on Solana now). The fact that its a Counterparty token makes it all the more easy to collect and trade, unlike Deckbound, however unfortunately.

I was excited about deckbound, I was a newbie game programmer at that time.
Now I'm building my own game on solana, maybe I will call it deckbound, remembering the good days of bitcoin.

Randomly surfing boards for old Bitcoin/blockchain-based games and saw this, now realising among the things I cleared out a couple of spring cleanings ago was my old Counterparty wallet -- also remembering that I had some tokens on there (not for deckbound but other dead projects).

Does anyone know of a game people actually still play (or can be played)? Now I'm trying to see if I did in fact have a copy of info of old wallets to see if any of these things have woken up. Can't even remember names is the thing.

I have seen a similar type of game, called : Augmentors that was sponsored by one of the investors in the series - Shark Tank on TV. The site is augmentorsgame.com and it is still active after all of these years, but I do not know if it is successful or not. (founded in 2016)

I did not buy any of the tokens back in the day, because there were many of these "token" based projects doing the rounds and I thought it would just be one of those fly-by-night projects.

I like the whole concept of a digital collectible card game and it is a excellent idea to track it on the Blockchain. The free to play option is a bonus, and for the real enthusiast you could buy special cards. The key to the success of this project are going to be the quality of the graphics being done.

The more impressive the graphics, the more desirable the cards. Looking forward to see the final project. ^hmmm^

This whole deal is puzzling me for many months now so I decided to finaly ask for some help. I don't find Deckbound website informative enough especially in end-user topics, there is a ton of info written but none of it really helps someone who just want to join for fun. For example, at https://www.deckbound.com/earlyaccess I can buy cards but upon clicking "buy now" button I've been redirected to Coinbase, what is not explained at all is if I'm supposed to send BTC from address I own or I can send BTC from anywhere, like exchanges. What happens after I send BTC to Coinbase address? And then what exactly I'm buying because "3-pack, 1-hero pre purchase" means absolutely nothing to me? Why would I need more then 1 hero? Hi -- Deckbound Heroes will be launching in invite-only alpha end of October (if you've bought cards via early access or redeemed an invite code you'll get access to this) and Deckbound Quest is being previewed at events in the coming months.

First time checking this out...though I don't must like Card games this game seems to be very interesting in its own right. I might as well try it out as soon as I can. And I hope this will also allow for more bitcoin adoption.

Hey. I just posted some information to the email newsletter and wanted to repeat here for anyone following just this thread...

You can get 30% more tokens in Block 1 & 2

We've been working on the details for the issue of Genesis Tokens to Genesis Block Holders.

Genesis Tokens are used to create & incept Deckbound cards. Buying Genesis Blocks will result in you being issued a number of tokens proportional to the size of your purchase and the size of the block. The Deckbound system will automatically manage the use and sale of these tokens into card packs across the lifetime cost curve of a Genesis Block's cards. You will also be able to do that manually.

We've been working on getting the legal and technical specifics right for this token issue. I was at MIT a few weeks ago for the legal/technical workshops -- see http://crypto.sabir.cc/?page_id=147 -- on various crypto/legal issues, including the issue of product tokens. This was a fantastic event that has allowed us to accelerate what we're doing with Genesis Tokens.

We'll be simplifying some of the block size and card issue details, including specifically the target "block size". This is currently at 130% of the BTC size of the block. To clarify how this works, we're going to make the block size and the block target the same thing… but modify the mechanics of how card prices increase such that the demand curve for higher priced cards kicks in sooner.

Block 1 & 2 purchases get 30% extra tokens

As a thank you to early purchasers in Blocks 1 & 2, and to avoid any confusion, we're going to convert Block 1 & 2 ownership at 130%…. giving you 1.3x the tokens you paid for.
