Theymos updated DT1 today. I made a new list of DT1 and DT2 members (unfortunately, DT1 and trust scores are still based on last Saturday's Trust data dump, I will update this next Saturday).

Several users are now red-trusted. Remember this:
All that being said, I still discourage retaliatory ratings, and with these changes I encourage people to try to "bury the hatchet" and de-escalate rather than trying to use any increased retaliatory power you now have.

Did Theymos post the new requirements/changes somewhere?

It goes to the person to whom it would be "most useful". This is elaborated on here. You only get 1 vote for every multiple of 250 earned merit.

This mathematical model is too complex. Is there any practical graph from some one DT list?
Or whatever I understood.it means that a graph for a single user cannot be created because nobody can determine "s" until all user voted, have their merit added to determine the total number of votes that are taking part in voting.

Arguably, "weights" (that depend on  number of votes) are assigned to DT1 candidates whose name are arranged   into some kind of stack either in descending or ascending order. Depending on the last,  algo uses  either LIFO or FIFO to move name from the  candidates  list to DT1 one.

Do you guys have any idea when I create a list , then to whom my 250 merit vote goes to?

I have no idea if theymos shared the formula and I think if he has not shared yet then he should.

Each user's number of "votes" in the last two criteria will be limited to floor(earned_merit / (10 or 250, depending on the criteria)). If you trust more people than your limit, then you will vote for the people to whom your vote will be the most useful, more-or-less.

Next thing I like to propose in voting that instead of taking eligibility solely dependent on number of people trusting you, it should be dependent on number of people trusting you - number of people distrusting you.

Question: Can a banned user still update his Trust list? <...>

I think it's possible.

<...> Autobans ban the account involved only, you can still log in and do everything normally, just can't post or pm. <...>

Question: Can a banned user still update his Trust list?
Last week, lovesmayfamilis got a permban. That was changed into a 60 days ban 3 days ago.
After he got banned, lovesmayfamilis removed ICOEthics from his Trust list.

Even with permaban, the user still has the ability to change the trust list and delete feedbacks (Proof)

My understanding of a ban is you are only restricted from posting. Not from logging in.

Hence you can still perform some actions to your profile. Please correct me if I am wrong Wink

I guess changing Avatar & Sig is also blocked since it would allow some king of communication which the ban aims to prevent.

Can be an involuntary thing, till some months ago banned people (temp) could send merit.

I have no info on what permabanned account could do.

You did not quite understand my words.
I wanted to take a loan in 2017, then Bitcoin cost much less.

Really depends when in 2017. 2017 low was around $800 and 2017 high is BTC's ATH.

So this is still quite a big amount.

On May 3rd it was around $1400. So 2.5 BTC at that time is still considered as a considerable loan IMHO.

Also, your account isn't ruined.  You can still help people here all you want.  Just because you're red-trusted doesn't mean that people aren't going to listen to what you have to say if you give them some technical advice or whatever.  You just might not be able to get loans very easily.

I wanted to take a loan in 2017, then Bitcoin cost much less.
But then he changed his mind.
And I did not know at that time that such requests were very serious.
And two years later I was told that I had a negative trust in my account.
Although I did not even know about it!

We were advised to create a theme and I made it in January 2019!
Immediately, they set me up as a crook and a liar.
Although there were no more requests for loans and I was helping people all the time.

And the participants, whom I do not know, for some reason, they put a negative trust in me just do not want to change their decisions.
I don’t mind feedback from EcuaMobi, but why did others do that?
After all, I don’t even know anyone from them, I didn’t even ask them for anything!

He stole 41,000 bitcoin’s & said it was a ‘hack.

Then he shared some of that coin with Quickseller.  Smiley

Seriously?
I wasn’t aware of that Sad

Come on... you're gonna fail the Bitcointalk History midterms Smiley

@Quickseller, I'll contribute 20 BTC towards a civil lawsuit against Vod. One of his email addresses is [...]

You may be able to subpoena Yahoo Canada for his IP address (via a John Doe-style civil suit), and then subpoena the ISP for account holder details.
If you are serious about this then please PM me contact details and I will get you a PGP signed address to send to.
Great! Please email me at [email protected]; a PGP clearsigned message will do. Thanks!
sent.

edit: 20 BTC received

Allegedly he then decided not to sue Vod and returned some of the coins back to TF. No proof of that of course.

too nice

I can confirm, it takes a certain type of asshole to be in DT / merit recycling foxhole / etc. But I do believe a nice person can learn the necessary skills too.

Perhaps I'm being too nice now, I tend to mellow on Sundays.

As I say why not to be nice to everyone that crosses your path doesn't do anything wrong... Ok against r0ach or rebal15 or gembitz I haven't been nice to as well.... but they mainly post their opinions (against BTC), but they didn't scam anybody... I will only give red-trust as when i'm sure they wanna scam someone for money, and it didn't happen to me yet....

Small example I know nutildah have trust in me for not being a scammer and for being a "good, contributing" member, I was on his trust list, still he took me off cause I think tmfp or something distrusts me, I never have a bad feeling for these things and understand if one wants to succeed in something then they probably have to chose sides and trust or distrust members for getting on this DT1...

Seeing as you've brought my name up (or something) I'll make my personal position super clear.
I am not part of any "clique" or circle jerk here.
I have nothing to do with "choosing sides", forum politics, doing "trust deals" or scratching backs with nutildah or anyone else.
I explained at the time why I put you on my exclusion list.
You're too nice a guy to be on DT.

I was being a nice guy too.
What I actually meant was I think that your "one of the lads", see-the-best-in-people type nature, however pleasant a drinking partner or reliable a friend it may make you, borders on naivety, which is a quality I personally don't think is desirable on Default Trust. This may be my problem, being over cynical, but it's my honest opinion.
And whilst I'm making enemies of your homies, those are the same reasons I wouldn't support you being a Merit Source either.

Ok, I can follow with DT and stuff, maybe cause i'm also not really looking for a position there... IMO its almost only a place where one scratches an-others back type of place, maybe i'm wrong but as I say i'm not really looking for DT1 position.

You are absolutely right, probably i'm a bit to kind from nature, but when its been mutual same wise, then why would I change it, so based on many member to member interactions that I have had I left some positive feedback, not so many though, but each one i'm sure of they are members here with right intentions, and the other positive feedback that I have left is for successful trades from me and another without escrow or anything, where I send BTC first and received my stuff.... So I think a positive feedback for such a member is @ its place...

Then please just stop with the homies BS, like wtf?... I have been very long active @the WO thread before I knew there was anything more on the forum, as I pointed i'm not a computer specialist or anything, so indeed I know them best over there and most of merit I have send was @the WO, but as i'm just another learning member, trying to contribute member and I have explored more sides of the forum, and just have the most interest to hang out @the speculation section, collectibles section and gonna try to be more active @the Dutch section.....

Pity you wouldn't support the Ms request, cause imho I think I have not send out merit that isn't @ its place.
