I agree that Its hard to get profitable work as a translator without a lot of effort as already many professionals from countries like India Argentina and they charge very minimal charges

If you speak fluent Spanish (which I'm assuming since you are from Argentina), and feel like you have a good enough grasp on English, you may be able to find someone looking for a translator. I'm not bilingual so I don't have any experience translating but there seems to be decent demand and if you type fast you may be able to make a bit that way.

Its very hard to get profitable work as a translator without a lot of effort since there are professionals from countries poorer than Argentina that charge very little... Best bet is to set up a thread here but even then there are a lot of people here, some who'd even be willing to just help out the community I'd guess.

yes. you must at least give one service for almost free and ask for the rating.

I did got a rating from odesk which i got from an employer who also live nearby.. so maybe search a job with a keyword of your city. say "buenos aires" and a list of jobs will appear. you can talk spanish in your pms. Cheesy good luck

Thanks for all the help guys.

The translation stuff might be a very good option, unfortunately, those sites work with a reputation rank, could be very difficult for me to get a job there, but I give it a try, maybe if I charge less than the other applicants I can get some little jobs.

Still looking for more offers! Grin

I got these cheeseburgers...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_4nupAxvNw

Seriously though, the signature campaigns are a good start as you would get paid for constructive posts as you try to find some other work on this site. Also there's a site called Elance - www.elance.com - which serves as a job posting board for all sorts of jobs, some of which might be translations of documents from English to Spanish. You should check it out.

First good luck; you know what you are doing wrong and that you are wasting time online which is a start

I would advice to keep socialising and meeting new people and be available to work outside your home

Online you could join signature campaigns that accept newbies and Junior then make some cash when you are a Member

Over time your activity increases and so does the rank.

Search cool signature campaigns

This can make you way more than you need Smiley

I suggest something like internet marketing, web development, just a little business to get you started. You can take a little bit of money , invest, and turn it into hundreds. (:

Invest $30 or so and buy a member account, then spend time being active promoting a certain website.
Or just skip the $30 investment and boost this account by posting.

Assuming you will join PD's campaign (and post to the max), during that two months you can make .4 = ~$240.

And during that he can post on this account = double profit.

Hey guys.

Thanks for the tips, but honestly, it seems like too much work for very little money really.
Plus, as you said, I would need a lot of time until I can start getting paid? Sad

Any other options? I'm open to all kinds of projects.

However this will take 2 months+ to get to a useful account.

Sure, I can start replying and posting threads daily, but what's a signature campaign?

its about promotion of websites. kinda the link under your profile.
