Rpietila wrote publicly only 4 - 8% chance of any lasting harm to Monero.

The same guy who said Bitcoin wouldn't fall below $400 twice and I am the same guy who PUBLICLY predicted both times it would.

And my group got out at $485 and bought back in below $400 because in the $500s I told them it would go below $400 again to retest the prior bottom.

Edit: If BCX doesn't attack successfully, Rpietila will be correct, for a short time.

Impressive.

I also recall rptiella being the same guy that bought bitcoin at $10.

Indeed and he deserves credit for that along with 1000s of others. But that wasn't a short-term trading analysis.

dear god.  can we just setup a webcam so you guys can whip them out and see who's is bigger & drop the facade?

geez

He and smooth et al also said it was following a FUD cycle and had bottomed at 380. Then we went below 300.

True, but I'm sure they hadn't(as neither could any of us) taken into account this whole situation arising with BCX. That in itself(along with Bitcoin in it's bearish state) caused the further price fall.

Sorry I know they know everything. Very sorry I don't speak facts.

Your mathematicians didn't address that rs = qs - csx mod l is also known, where qs is unknown.
qs is unknown (and random) which makes the above equation more or less useless for solving for x, this will be addressed in a later memo.

So sure are we. Subtraction may play differently in modular arithematic. I will wait to see what your memo says.

evolving language and behaviour pattern confirm and follows a simple social attack without substance.
monero devs should calm down and switch to a more attentive path. there is no need to play into others prepared hands.

Quoted for emphasis. Devs, take care of yourself and your sanity. Any forum can entrap you, but this one is full of malevolent people that constantly try to pick fights so they can reveal your weak-points.
Be careful not to get pulled. There's so much desire to harm on this thread it seems it has a physical form.

Well said brother

Analysis of simultaneous equations attack on CryptoNote

"...that implies that no such attack, as outlined above, is possible against CryptoNote protocol."

Trolling 101:
This is the message you can send if you get any response.
If you don't get a response, keep going, but add that they are unresponsive and uncaring.
Cycle as needed.

Yeah wtf? These devs are here arguing and crying like babies. This is totally unprofessional.

Why would anyone want to invest in a bunch of hotheads?

When bitcoin was in its infancy and experiencing some of its first bug exploits do you think Satoshi was whining about not getting payed, how the project wasn't his whole life and he rather spend time on the beach with his wife? As core developers you are suppose to believe in the project so much that you see the extreme potential and the coins you hold on to from the beginning will eventually be worth so much that it will compensate you for all your hard work.

EDIT: Maybe you could discuss the fix with one of the other core members (or rpietila), I think most of them appreciate what you're doing here.

None of them take me seriously. I am tired of this shit.

You are missing the part where I spent hours (and little sleep) with you going over your work on Sybil attacks and the part (which I posted several hours ago) where I said that I thought you had improved on our work. Very odd.

If you want to offer assistance, it is welcome. If you don't want to help, don't. Either way we could do with a little less drama.

I rather fancy the idea of publishing the sender of (most) every ring signature on the block chain instead at a future date of my choosing.

I warned you don't fuck with me.

I will make sure BBR has the mitigation ready assuming they are still cooperative with me and they don't give my mitigation to XMR.

You are not dealing with BCX any more. You are dealing with me. Capice.

I didn't saw that coming.
This thread is gold.

Which allegation? He never alleged any Sybil attack issues at all.

You know everything. He never mentioned anonymity being lost.

you found nothing

Well I am sure you are sure. And so we can stop now.
