A shibe that sold at 200
Oh yea, for the random guy in Poloniex trollbox that was saying this coin isn't endorsed by any of the original Dogecoin people, look at the username and times stamp of this post, I was one of the first 50 people on the planet to mine Dogecoin:
http://doges.org/index.php?topic=14.msg24#msg24Even the people that made Freenode #dogecoin channel are in #shibecoin. Then you have all the big pool owners from Dedicated pools, Suchpool, etc there. People have wanted a PoS version of Doge for a long time, I even thought about creating a proof of burn system for it. This coin is pretty much the next best option besides proof of burning Dogecoin.
Jackson Palmer created Doge as a joke, then went to sleep. We're the people that made the coin what it is, the pools, the code, the market support, the walls on the exchanges, etc.
There are a few conflicts on what the stake reward should be. Several people want it lower, some like it the way it is.
The way stake reward works is, the holders are rewarded or kept at equilibrium through decentralized inflation, and all the other holders that don't stake are essentially being taxed 10% by not participating in the creation of money supply through securing the network.
I feel like 5% is a better choice because people can then still hold without constantly being worried about staking to maintain value. Everyone wins in that regard. Holders receive savings account interest for securing the network, people who don't only receive a small tax. Around 1% will probably also be destroyed in transaction fees, and 1% or higher coins will be lost per year. Inflation remains very low, much lower than Doge, and the decentralized inflation that does exist, is essentially only a small tax on people who don't help secure the network.
My other post on this subject:
Just like Sunny King made Primecoin and Peercoin for different roles, Dogecoin vs Shibecoin is the same difference and people don't need to cry that it takes too much away from the other currency.
There's also the large possibility that most PoW coins will fail, as Bitcoin was designed to work as the only one in existence absorbing all hash power, so Doge will live on no matter what that way.
