you can check it in the blockexplorer: http://blockexplorer.uni.me
just type in the blocknumber (for example 1) and you will se how many coins
were in that block.

we counted it for you.
first 50 blocks were: 50 x 125.000 = 6.250.000 SHIBE

but we also checked the addresses: so the premine address is: SPwicy5rt9q95oPXHYS9r6esVpMsMq6kNQ

we will release an TOP 100 list in the next few days.

check the extension of the .conf file make sure it hasn't got a hidden.txt extension

Assuming you have windows client ...Check firewall and ensure its not blocking the traffic... otherwise I would try from scratch...

Backup wallet.dat, then delete all install files including those in your /users/username/appdata/roaming/shibe... folder
reinstall shibe client/wallet - don't create a conf file (shouldn't need one) and run it... should work.

If not.. drop in to the freenode #shibecoin IRC channel and there are plenty of peeps who can assist you!

Hang on.. just noticed... do you have "addnode=" before each host in the conf file???

You need that!!!!

Since I am a noob I have basic questions:
1. How can I see total number of coins that have been mined so far and I guess now the block reward is 75,000 or 50,000? If someone can coach me how to use the blockexplorer that would be nice.

Has anyone check the source for presence of malware or backdoor? Ever since reading about an exchange owner discovering something wrong in dafuqcoin, I am hesitant to download new wallets. I suppose it can be run in VM/sandboxed but if someone has other coin wallets on their PC, I hope they don't disappear
