i understand deppression is a bad feelings.  I have had countless depressions along my way especially when someone i trust lets me down. I feel deppressed within me and especially it happens to me in relationship. Sometimes when am overloaded with problems too i become deppressed. However, these are some of the things i do to control myself. I make sure i share the problem with someone i trust and see to it that we have come along with something that can help me to get out of this

Most of my time for the past year I feel kinda depressed. I dont really have any passion and I would prefet to do nothing rather then to do something usefull.
Can you guys please give me any tips on how to end this?

try visiting a psychiatrist, my girlfriend got same depression you are having right now, and she really dont know what to do, she dont want to admit it that she is depress, thats why i tried and tried pursuading her to visit a psychiatrist for her to know what to do, but she is afraid to do so because she dont want to get labeled as someone who got mental disorder. but because of my support she visited the psychiatrist and now shes doing great.

Depression is a deadly disease. It has killed a lot of people. If you suffer from depression,  ensure you stay with people, pray onto God to make you happy, etc

With depression, no one is able to help you.
Only you can win with it.

- surround yourself with people (do not be left alone with thoughts)
- try to find a hobby (wasted your free time)
- remember, you are stronger !

I wish you good luck and recovery!

Other people act like they care, but they really don't.  You are alone in this world and if you are lucky to find someone that actually cares you are very fortunate.

I thought this thread was about market depression haha. Anyway, there are lots of ways you can overcome depression. To be honest sometimes even if you are with people that you love, there would still be times when you'll be depressed. But I suggest just spend some time doing something that is productive and try to find a good, meaningful reason why you do it.

Depression is a serious thing and a lot of people like to dismiss it as  a joke.  I've experienced real depression and it consumes your life.

The best medicine for depression is having someone to talk to with your problems. Those who are reported commited suicide don't have someone in their that is why they can't spit ilout their emotions and problems. I successfully vanish the depression of someone whom i know wherein she came in a decision to commit suicide but fortunately I dis managed to divert her attention and let her depression evaporate slowly everyday.

Depression is a symptom of some physical diseases and a side effect of some drugs and medical treatments.
A depressed mood is a normal temporary reaction to life events such as loss of a loved one.

Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease a person’s ability to function at work and at home.

Depression symptoms can vary from mild to severe and can include:

Feeling sad or having a depressed mood
Loss of interest or pleasure in activities once enjoyed
Changes in appetite — weight loss or gain unrelated to dieting
Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much
Loss of energy or increased fatigue
Increase in purposeless physical activity (e.g., hand-wringing or pacing) or slowed movements and speech (actions observable by others)
Feeling worthless or guilty
Difficulty thinking, concentrating or making decisions
Thoughts of death or suicide
