Any real devs willing to take this on and try to resolve the issue? Or is this a speculators thread? Wink

I spent some time in April trying to improve the new user startup experience.   I put the builds up the start of this month, and they have had a few hundred downloads, and I have not had any issues reported yet.      https://www.box.com/s/1mqfk22gyqq97ytdmifi

Looks good, any reason this isn't promoted to the main Devcoin.org site? Is the owner of the site unresponsive?

Logo
I have a go.
I have noticed mainly curved lines, soft sketch.
What if the logo would be more... sharped.
Is it a bad idea?

At the moment, this is my idea.

That's pretty cool Smiley

Thanks for the logo, you'll get 2/5 of a share in round 24. There are three 2/5 of a share awards remaining.

To all artists,

To enter a logo, please post your favourite image separately, so I can load it to the devcoin gallery, then I'll award the bounty.

Also, I suggest that the logo vote be taken after we have fifteen logos, or July 1, whichever comes first, any objections?

Unthinkingbit, I temporarily enabled them to upload their own logos to expedite things just fyi. And depending on if it gets abused I may leave it enabled.

Would anyone be interested in starting a "Church of Development". Where "god" is "the future", and we worship by making it better. Basically just a developmental coin charity that religiously works towards the future.

I am a certified minister and I will work to get non-profit status in my state, but here is the base for the organization, I already have 200 members:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/church-of-development-213405

If anyone wants to get married or exercise demons, I can legally do the ceremony Smiley

Ha! Universal Life Church eh? Me too, since 2002. I've done 4 weddings, not much else. Offering absolution via BTC, I had that idea a few months back but never panned it out.

Willing to exercise your demons for any amount, addresses in sig are fine--send coins and consider yourself absolved.

Would you be down to form a ministry together? Online at first. We could do some recruiting in the ULC forums also Smiley Not much back an forth discussion there, so if we ha a thread we communicated on, it would basically automatically become one of the most popular.

Devil worshipers cult Illuminati (Bilderberg Group) trying to ban Bitcoin.
They are moving in hard now.

video source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBOLhvuGcPE&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Everyone must rise up to take down the Devil worshipers cult Illuminati also known as the (Bilderberg Group) asap!

I have an idea for how to do this... Make a coin that they HAVE to embrace.
The DEVILcoin.
A coin where the symbol is an upside down star/goat, then the word "Coin".

And I nominate Devcoin.
The Illuminati might like a coin with devil imagery and plans for developing mankind.
I would embrace this!

Can someone photoshop Venom->Coin?

Right? I really think we need a devil coin symbol.

Hi everybody, I'm pretty excited about the whole "pay the creators" idea, so glad I stumbled upon this.

I have a few noob questions about the word count for shares, sorry if this has been answered a million times already.

Devtome says: "Original work gets a generation share per 1,000 words."

Does that mean all words of all articles submitted are added together and then divided by 1000?
So 1200 + 600 + 400 = 2200 / 1000 = 2 shares

Or is each article considered a separate submission?
1200 (1000 counted, 200 void) + 600 (discarded) + 400 (discarded) = 1000 = 1 share

Also I assume the count script automatically accounts for articles already paid for in a previous round and I can just keep adding to my user page? What if I add words to a previously existing article?

Thanks in advance and good luck to all of you (and me Cheesy)

It counts all of them up and divides them by 1,000

It reads the articles you already submitted and only counts new words on your later rounds.

You're a gem, both of them work like a peach, I don't mind no icons if I can run them without having to launch Crossover Cheesy As for a tipjar, I just meant an addy to send you a few coins of these alt-flavors. DVC/IX/NMC are my prefer'd alts, though I will admit I collect a good bundle of them--its like rock hounding.

Oh thank you, I will give that another look, didnt realize one was a GUI!

I saw you looking for ixcoin earlier as well, did you find that and my namecoin builds yet?

Yes, your iXCoin build is flawless, thank you! Did you do a GUI NMC wallet too?? Ohhh I need that for sure, have you a tipjar? Cheesy

Yeah,  https://www.box.com/s/cv35rbugsvvz1lbi1iw4 for NMC builds.   However, it is currently like the devcoin build, and no icon to make it into an app.  So you have to run the namecoin file.   Unlike devcoin, where marticps helped out by supplying me some graphics, no one has given me the graphics files to use with nmc as of yet, so I have no idea when I will be changing that for nmc.

Where does one get a tipjar?
