^^ It's more likely to hype this fight, you should be used to seeing Ryan like that. Even before his fight with Tank Davis, he has assaulted him verbally many times.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qKZyEvEL8w

And if my memory serves me right, he call Tank "ug*ly" and Tank is just smiling.

So Ryan will ran his mouth again against Haney, but this time, it's different as he shows his physically but I don't think that Haney is intimidated or what. But it's good for the media and for sure they got the attention already.

Great match. I'm just curiuos why Ryan Garcia's name now is floating everywhere. I mean, we talk about Lopez, Rolly, Davis and now Haney... they seemed  want to have a piece of Ryan. Maybe because he is an attraction, that they know when they fight Ryan they'll get a good pay check?

Since this is just a potential fight.. let's keep this updated so we will know its chances of happening.. Right now, there are plenty of rumors on the space about Ryan's potential fight next.

Because he is an attention seeker. The kid is just not a top-level fighter but he is pushing too hard to be lined up with those names. But he is easy to market though which makes him a good contender to match for easy money. Thats what fame can do for him, he can find someone to fight him to make it appear like he has the balls.

He keeps switching camps I think at every fight and he may lose every time too. Haney is superior to him, I doubt he could hit that Haney without risking his chin to which he will be knocked out.

He was something until he loss to Tank Davis. However, he is still a great challenger since he won his last fight and with this big fight, it shouldn't be hard for him promote this fight since he already had the popularity. All he has to do now is to train hard since Haney isn't an easy opponent, but in case he succeed, he should be ripping a huge reward and he will see his name at the top of the list again.

I don't like Ryan's arrogance I watched their heated argument four times and he was short-tempered he could not keep up with the thrash-talking, he was the first to push Devin Haney and he even wanted to involve Devin's father, Bill Haney, by talking to him while in an argument with Devin, Ryan is one insecure guy, well he has reason to be insecure Devin is the undisputed champion still undefeated and no one comes close to beating him,  while Ryan still no title and have been beaten by Gervonta.

I expect more thrash talks on both camps and by the way Bill Haney also had a heated argument with Ryan Garcia's manager Bernard Hopkins a few months ago, wow there are a lot of things worth waiting for in these two camps, I just hope they will not hurt each other it will cause delay to the fight, and we don't want that, if the Gervonta - Garcia fight is a big hit, this one is a going to be a blockbuster.

And I'm not surprise that Ryan is a big underdog, his style tailor fights that on Haney. Haney will do Floyd here, just pot shot and jabs every round to win by a huge score from the judges.

Ryan is a knockout artist so Haney will do Floyd to avoid being knockdown or worst knockout. Though both fighters benefited from this fight but I think it is Haney who benefited more as he can't sell a fight on his own, I mean he is not a crowd drawer unlike Garcia who had a lot of followers on social media thus he needs less promotion on his upcoming fights.

I very much agree on Haney will do Floyd hehehe. I voted for Devin Haney by a decision but everyone should not underestimate Ryan Garcia for this fight. Haney might be a difficult fight for Ryan, however, I would speculate that Haney is also a less difficult for King Ry if compare this with the fight vs. Tank Davis.

It also appears Golden Boy was only making negotiations difficult for Rolly Romero and Pitbull Cruz because Devin Haney was also being negotiated already and Oscar dela Hoya wanted Haney hehehehehe.

We haven't seen a conference yet, no undercards yet but look at how they sell the fight. This is why Ryan is good for marketing regardless of how useless the words he is saying are. Garcia indeed can knockout fighters, it only needs to connect. Still, this fight will boost the PPV of Haney.

The confrontation is a hot topic now in the boxing community, it could even be better than all the Gervonta - Davis faceoff I have never seen both fighters so angry, and I think the promoters will need a lot of bodyguards for these two boxers on their future face off and press conference.

Expect a lot of foul words between the two I just hope that there will come a time when they will hit each other, they have to do their things inside the ring, and they are being paid to do their stuff in the ring.

Honestly, I don't think these two guys have to do these things but it seems the hatred is real and the hatred will heat up as we move on the fight date, I still believe that Haney can easily beat Ryan, he is too technical and too wise in the ring to handle Garcia.

They have their own body guards, but yeah, I think the organizations should hire more, specially in the weigh-in or even in the kick off press conference. Ryan Garcia already hype the fight and with that video going out in the public, others say that Garcia has won that mental game, but we will see. Haney has been in this kind of pre-fight antics with Loma and Kambosos, so he knows what's up with Ryan.

But I do agree that it should translate those hate in the public ring, and in the first 3 rounds, like Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto, wherein we don't know who's going to win until Manny hit that upper cut and put down Cotto and that's in. So here, it's a question on whether who will dominate early or who's going to score a knock down. Haney has improved his power since moving up to this division as he is well rehydrated prior to the fight.

I'm gonna go with Devin Haney for Unanimous Decision, while Garcia has his speed his defence is lacking if he can't knock out Devin Haney in the early rounds he is gonna suffer from it as the fight drags on and lose the fight in the end.

comparing both of their most recent fights, while Ryan Garcia delivered a TKO win, Devin Haney led an impressive and dominating fight against a title holder. it's clear that Devin Haney is at the top of his game.

Yeah, he knock down a champion in Prograis and negate what Regis strength, that is his power. So Haney has the advantage here, Ryan also has power, but his style is not going to be effective against a fighter that plays defense and moves a lot.

And it will go to the judges scorecard and just like in the Loma fight, although controversial win for him, he might pilled up points early and then if Ryan tries to rally, it might be too late, unless he suddenly score a knockout and break Haney's chin for good and put him in the canvass.

So for me, Ryan should really go for the knock out win here, nothing else and if that happens, then it will cement his legacy at 140 lbs.

In case we all forgot they had a face-off and a thrash talk inside the ring 3 years ago here is the video

Ryan Garcia & Devin Haney Face-Off, Exchange Words Ahead of Potential Fight
And this is the latest confrontation mate,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_UeSSemN94

Just after the super-bowl. So it's on, the fight definitely has some narrative already. There is a storyboard and they don't like each other. Excited to see what will happen in the press conference to announce the official fight. And then in the weigh-in, wherein both fighters would have their fans present as well. So it's good that they have create more hype more than ever. Yeah, I'm buying the PPV and going to bet on this fight definitely.

Well, they're just doing this for the promotion of the fight. Do this to a Russian fighter and they just slap your face in an instant. This only happens on US fighters like they are about to rumble but with all the bodyguards behind them. Ryan pushes his buddy to Haney's camp lol.

Between the two Garcia possesses the power, but that power is useless if it cannot connect just like what happened to his match against Gervonta, everything in this match is exciting and I'm sure we are going to enjoy the press conference because these two fighters hate although respect each other have hatred and envy with each other.

I just saw this come out on my social feeds Ryan just started a thrash talking by calling Haney a phony and a fake friend, it seems Ryan wants real war here he doesn't want a friendly fight here, which is good for the public as they want real war between these two boxers who used to be respectful to each other, but I guess Ryan is just envy on Haney's achievement after three years since their faceoff, Haney has reached a lot of milestone, compared to him who is still no title and a humiliating loss.
pretty sure these trash talks are probably just for a show, it's not uncommon for boxers to suddenly start trash-talking each other to bring attention and hype up their upcoming fight. I wouldn't be surprised if after their match they are cordial with each other again.

I'm gonna go with Devin Haney for Unanimous Decision, while Garcia has his speed his defence is lacking if he can't knock out Devin Haney in the early rounds he is gonna suffer from it as the fight drags on and lose the fight in the end.

Ryan needs to crack Devin's defense.  If he fails to crack it, he will most probably beaten by counter punches or jobs.   There is also a chance for Ryan to be knocked out. He was exposed by Davis in their fight and most probably Devin Haney will try to capitalized on that weakness.
yeah, if he wants to win he needs to bring in something new that will counter Devin Haney's defense.

Even though Ryan won by TKO on his last match, and Devin a UD, I think Devin got a tougher opponent and was able to dominate the fight and bag the title.  I highly agree that Devin is possibly the best in his Division at this moment so there is no doubt that he will surely dominate the fight if Ryan Garcia won't make any necessary adjustments and break Haney's defensive stance.

“These dudes try to make you super soft by smiling in your face and be super nice to you, and then stab you in the back when it’s time,” said Ryan Garcia to Compas on The Beat, talking about Devin Haney. “I’m not going to let that happen. I see right through you. You’re a fake; you’re a phony. You’re dad’s a phony, and everyone around you is a phony.”

It looks like Ryan wanted to make his fight against Davis controversial to get more traction from boxing fans.  I think this is more likely a marketing strategy in order to make more peolple interested and sell more tickets.

This is the easiest choice and most likely to happen. I don't think Haney will fight toe to toe with Ryan. Let's say Ryan has to be aggressive, he will not be controlling the fight if Haney just taps him with a jab every time Ryan tries to move in.

It will be a boring fight then as Haney always wants to be in the safest route to defeat an opponent but he is always going to choose to win by points rather than be aggressive as well. But he only can wait for Ryan to make mistakes to make big shots.

I like to be different among the many here, and with that said, I choose from the poll "Ryan Garcia BY KO"... I am the only one who voted for that, I choose that because I believe that for Ryan Garcia to win, he needs to be aggressive and has to KO Haney. Despite not being an undefeated boxer anymore, I believe Ryan's power is enough to knock out Haney with the right strategy. We know that Haney moves a lot, therefore Ryan has to improve his quickness too in order to catch Haney moving, and with Ryan's long reach and has a good height, he could possibly achieve that.

Haney believes that Ryan will be aggressive in this fight, and he expects that and he likes that, because he knows how to counter aggressive guys he's been fighting aggressive guys all his career and his style is very much suited to Haney, he will just confuse Garcia by creating deceitful maneuvers and baiting him a lot, just like what Gervonta Davis did.

This fight is predictable, Ryan has a lot of bad habits in the ring and Haney will just wait for that habit to come out so he can counter, or punish him.
Haney's style is quite boring, but it always works, you hate to see Haney's style in the ring, but you will always agree that after his every fight, he deserves the win.
Garcia's value will go down if he loses this fight so he needs to train hard to get the best coaches and trainers and he needs to adapt immediately to the plan his trainers will laid out.

So you're the one bro, well its good to have conflicting views kept looking at the poll and so far this is the outcome
Devin Haney BY UD   - 8 (80%)
Devin Haney by KO   - 1 (10%)
Ryan Garcia  BY UD   - 0 (0%)
Ryan Garcia BY KO   - 1 (10%)

I voted Haney to win by the unanimous decision he has mastered the art of hit and run in the ring, one good example is the Kambosos and the Prograis fight he is too good at using the ring and turning his opponent's best weapon against them, Haney already had a clue on how Garcia will move in their coming fight and Ryan knows that he could end it with one of his best-left hook, its a strategy of who could it properly.

I still believe in Ryan's ability to knock out using his left hook but that left hook has been exposed so many times that his opponents know that he will and try to connect that left hook, which makes him a one-dimensional fighter.
Haney is a thinker and is very good at shifting from natural to southpaw so Ryan will have a hard time figuring out Haney.

So we will see, hopefully there's no rehydration clause or something that will put Ryan at a disadvantage. Haney is  huge favorite, Ryan 5:1 underdog hehehe. Probably it's because of his style, it will be very difficult for Ryan. And this is what the fans wanted and Oscar did deliver again.

Most likely another 1 million+ PPV for Ryan and then tickets sold out in live gates?

A rehydration clause would only hurt Haney, who gained 25 pounds between the weigh-in and fight night against Regis Prograis. It’s crazy to think that Haney is basically a natural middleweight and Loma, who is an undersized lightweight, still almost beat him.

Something which is interesting is that this is already Ryan’s second fight since losing to Tank. Meanwhile, Tank is still sitting on the sidelines without anything scheduled and coming up with excuses to avoid fighting Haney and other elite champions.

This dehydration clause will hurt boxers because they are still dehydrated going into the ring and they are not at their full potential going into the ring, it's normal for boxers to increase their size after the weigh-in it is part of a boxer's strategy so they can employ their full potential going into the ring, and this will only give reason for a boxer to have an alibi, Ryan may have a good alibi losing the fight because of that clause.

If all contracts have it in their matches we will see boxers not having their potential in the ring, they should only be strict on doping tests but not burden boxers with this dehydration clause, so far there is no mention of a dehydration clause or we don't know if they are not divulging anything.

Again, we can go back to the argument of Tank Davis being one of the most protected fighter, a paper champion, beat Ryan, best numbers last year and yet they doesn't want him to fight other champions at least at this own backyard of 135 lbs. If he wanted to be "great", fight Shakur, fight Loma at his division and then clean it up just like what a best fighter would do. But they don't want his 0 go, and they think that it will be his bargaining power to any negotiations, typical of Floyd Mayweather.

Anyhow, I was just out for a couple of days from this community and then suddenly we have this great fight. And for sure, we don't like Ryan or some of us here are not a fan of his specially with that way he portray himself in the social media. But we have to take into consideration that he tries to challenge himself by fighting Haney. They were called 4 Kings, and Ryan is the only one of them having fought 2 fighters, Tank and now Devin Haney.

Today while browsing YouTube I saw this video:

Ryan Garcia SHOVES Devin Haney; massive chaos ensues in Las Vegas boxing face off!

Every time I see these types of scenes involving fighters I keep asking myself why the hell boxing and MMA fighters are always arguing when they are in front of their opponent? In my head, that doesn't make sense, because they don't approach these fights with more professionalism than doing these types of things, which in my opinion just gives an image that looks like the guys are going to have a street fight in which they won't get paid for the money. fight, it looks like they are going to fight because they hate each other. these types of scenarios to gain more attention from people to go watch the fights don't make sense, because in my opinion boxing is a professional sport, there is money and belt involved, so the fighters will fight with all their strength at the time of the fight. So people will watch even if they wouldn't do these types of things, like arguing outside of fight time

They will fight to win and when the fight is over, they should hug each other and get along well in the real world, without hating each other. because it doesn't make any sense to hate each other or create scenes like this video when on the day of the fight there is a referee, there are judges who will make sure the fight is fair and both fighters are professionals who are very well paid, so it doesn't even make sense to have this type of behavior. Before, I thought that they keep doing these things to get more followers on social media and get more sponsorship, but then I started thinking: doesn't winning something big get more attention than what they keep doing?
