We are all aware of Ryan’s limitations, which is why he will be a significant underdog. Ryan has the confidence in himself due to having beaten Haney in the amateurs 3 out of 6 times. This isn’t the amateur level anymore though. Haney has improved a lot since and become undisputed champion, while Ryan has yet to win a legitimate world title.

It's very different in the pro and amateur ranks, we have seen boxers that have been great in amateur, but wasn't able to pass the test in the pro ranks. But we can see that there is rivalry already between the two when they were still young and now it's time for them to settle as a pro. It's time for Ryan to take another challenge in this 140 lbs and it's could that Oscar was able to deliver another big fight for him.

Despite lacking the accomplishments, Ryan is still sought after by these champions who are looking to capitalize on his social media fame. I’m expecting a wide decision win for Haney, although he has shown some more power at this weight class and with his excellent body punching it is possible that he could win by knockout.

Correct, this is the era wherein boxers are very vocal in their social media. And Ryan being compared to Oscar before, with his good looks and fan based, he has capitalized on that and that what makes this fight another easy millions in the pocket for Ryan as he will get more in PPV and those watching it live in the boxing arena.

Ryan Garcia & Devin Haney Face-Off, Exchange Words Ahead of Potential Fight
And this is the latest confrontation mate,

Just after the super-bowl. So it's on, the fight definitely has some narrative already. There is a storyboard and they don't like each other. Excited to see what will happen in the press conference to announce the official fight. And then in the weigh-in, wherein both fighters would have their fans present as well. So it's good that they have create more hype more than ever. Yeah, I'm buying the PPV and going to bet on this fight definitely.

I am inclined towards Devin Haney winning, either by unanimous decision or knockout. He has been on a winning streak, and this bout is a significant milestone in his career. I believe that his experience and technical skills will give him the advantage in this fight, he possesses more professional-level experience than Garcia and has faced tougher competition. This experience may provide him with a mental edge. Haney is a highly technical boxer, adept at using his jab and footwork to control the distance of the fight. If he can keep Garcia at a distance, he should be able to avoid Garcia's powerful punches. However, Haney must be cautious not to be caught off guard, as Garcia also has a very powerful and explosive fighting style.

I'm not that excited about this match. And Haney's choice of opponent is a bit odd. Of all that he can fight, why would a champion choose a worn-out fighter? But if they're just trying to make a match that sells, this might be it. Both of them are fond of tooting their own horns, but Ryan is so good at blabbering I'm sure he'll attract a lot of fans to watch what could otherwise be a lop-sided fight. The boring Haney could very well use Ryan's big mouth.

But I'm cheering for Ryan this time around, although I can't imagine how he could penetrate Haney's solid defense.

I just hope that this fight will not be the same as the Haney-Kambosos fight where it's just very boring to watch because both are counter-punchers.

Anyway, this might be different because Haney is known for his counter-punching abilities and patience while Garcia on the other hand is an explosive boxer that can counter as well. Garcia wanted to redeem himself after that devastating loss against "Tank" Davis, but he instead went to a title fight against one of the best in his weight class. I mean I want Garcia to win, but Haney is just better, the way he fights is just awesome. I'd go with Haney with this one as well.

I watched the video, and I could say that both of them already have a good history just based on that interview.
Anyway, the time has come for both of them to prove who is the "real champion".

And I'm not surprise that Ryan is a big underdog, his style tailor fights that on Haney. Haney will do Floyd here, just pot shot and jabs every round to win by a huge score from the judges.

Ryan is a knockout artist so Haney will do Floyd to avoid being knockdown or worst knockout. Though both fighters benefited from this fight but I think it is Haney who benefited more as he can't sell a fight on his own, I mean he is not a crowd drawer unlike Garcia who had a lot of followers on social media thus he needs less promotion on his upcoming fights.

Ryan should also improved on how to close gaps, this is his weakness and we did see him to move more in this last fight, but still there's more improvement that needs to be done. And it's also interesting clash of trainers and for sure we won't run out of trash talking between the two as well. Bill Haney mouth vs Derrick James, battle of wits outside of the ring and see how they will train their fighters to be at their best during the fight.

Punchers chance for Ryan Garcia to win this fight.

Great match. I'm just curiuos why Ryan Garcia's name now is floating everywhere. I mean, we talk about Lopez, Rolly, Davis and now Haney... they seemed  want to have a piece of Ryan. Maybe because he is an attraction, that they know when they fight Ryan they'll get a good pay check?

Since this is just a potential fight.. let's keep this updated so we will know its chances of happening.. Right now, there are plenty of rumors on the space about Ryan's potential fight next.

The source is legit though and I have seen multiple boxing news channel already reported this:

https://twitter.com/DAZNBoxing/status/1756090847274180723

Boxing fans are more hype that even to see this two young fighters squaring off. Kudos to both specially for Haney, he doesn't have the charisma that Ryan and Tank has, but he has accomplishment more than what the 2 can combine in their careers. Only Teo for me out of the big 4 is close to what Haney did at a young age. And we might see Haney vs Teo as well in the future.

And I'm not surprise that Ryan is a big underdog, his style tailor fights that on Haney. Haney will do Floyd here, just pot shot and jabs every round to win by a huge score from the judges.

As much as we don't want to admit it, Ryan's big mouth and his looks (no homo), bring money to him and his opponents, we are just short of calling him cash cow for now because he doesn't have the belt. But once he does, everyone will call him again for big paycheck.

So we will see, hopefully there's no rehydration clause or something that will put Ryan at a disadvantage. Haney is  huge favorite, Ryan 5:1 underdog hehehe. Probably it's because of his style, it will be very difficult for Ryan. And this is what the fans wanted and Oscar did deliver again.

Most likely another 1 million+ PPV for Ryan and then tickets sold out in live gates?

So far in the poll, Garcia is still zero, three years after their face-off in the ring on Ryan Garcia match, Haney got better he is still undefeated and a unified champion while Garcia had a knockout loss and still struggling to win a legit title, not an interim title.
Between the two Haney has a better chance to win, his skill is now great, and he is a Mayweather in the making while Garcia is still finding his true identity in the ring he just can't establish himself, maybe when he is out of The Golden Glove promotion, things will get better for Garcia.
This is a fight worth watching, it's three months to go but all talks leading to the fight are worth getting an update.

isn't it that he is already with Oscar promotion?  it was Dela Hoya who made this fight possible there was a tweet about this by Dela Hoya and Haney is a free agent. this could be why Ryan is miserable as it is Oscar who decides his fate. they are still in quarrel i think.

Ryan has fast hands, i wouldn't say Haney for a risk-free bet. a left hook from will be an embarrassing loss since Haney is a top p4p boxer. it was even said that Garcia beat Haney multiple times in their amateur fights. it may not be the same as those amateur fights but Ryan proves to be a KO artist than Haney.

I don't think that this one is a great match.  It is obvious that Devin Haney will win this match.   Ryan loses to much smaller Davis what more to a heavier and defense-oriented fighter.  I don't think that Ryan Garcia's style can break Devin Haney's defense.

There is a huge skill gap.  Devin Haney has already refined his antiques and is very devastating and at the same has a solid defense.  Looking at how Ryan Garcia performed in his previous fight, I think he is not a match for Devin.  But who knows, upset happens so no matter how we see Devin as the better boxer, there is always this possibility that the result may not be what we expected.

Oh, this is good news. Although the fight is still a long way I am already excited to see these fighters clash. I will definitely not miss this boxing fight, it may be again one of the biggest not just in boxing but also in money. Wink
We knew how expensive the pay-per-view price was when Ryan Garcia fought Gervonta Tank Davis. $89.99. Do I remember it right? And 1 million bought it. Then include how expensive the seat price is, I think they gained 20+ million there too. Now another champion will be fighting Ryan, and I think he can boost this promotion again using his social media pages and some drama of course to make a twist. He and Davis made a good trend before their fight and it actually worked, I think this is better because of the popularity of Haney.

I don't see the lines yet for betting. I wish they wouldn't put Ryan on a heavy underdog because that would be non-profitable for those who will bet for Haney and that includes me. Grin
If they put x1.15 - x1.30. I might pass and just enjoy watching the fight.

Because he is an attention seeker. The kid is just not a top-level fighter but he is pushing too hard to be lined up with those names. But he is easy to market though which makes him a good contender to match for easy money. Thats what fame can do for him, he can find someone to fight him to make it appear like he has the balls.

He keeps switching camps I think at every fight and he may lose every time too. Haney is superior to him, I doubt he could hit that Haney without risking his chin to which he will be knocked out.

Good point but Garcia cannot afford another loss, It is too costly to his popularity to lose another fight, he still sells but when losses keep coming he will lose his value to the boxing community, and this fight is very risky for him, he should have went for Romero or Isaac Cruz when the two fighters are still free, Haney is just too good and his skill is too polished for Ryan Garcia who is sometimes careless with his attack.

Between the two Garcia possesses the power, but that power is useless if it cannot connect just like what happened to his match against Gervonta, everything in this match is exciting and I'm sure we are going to enjoy the press conference because these two fighters hate although respect each other have hatred and envy with each other.

Well, it finally confirmed, this fight should have happened years ago, Haney wanted to face Garcia but Garcia's promoters Hopkins and De La Hoya wanted a great buildup to the fight, they wanted Garcia to be a legit or multi-titled first before he faced Haney, but its the other way around now, Garcia has one loss and no title and Haney became the undisputed junior welterweight.
I'm sure there will be a lot of thrash talks as there is no love lost between the two.
