This is why you should never ever lose your eye on the money you are betting. This is the reason why I always double check or even triple check the amount. I was a victim of this mistake myself that's why I learned my lessons the hard way. I remember betting .0005 and I lost all my money since I forgot adding another 0 after the point. Ended up betting .005 btc.
Honest mistakes that really ruined your day after realizing that all funds that you have are all emptied. You need to double check and keep your eyes with the amount that you select before starting the game, hard lesson to learned but that's life around gambling activities.
Next time make sure to be attentive and not to make same mistakes again.

Although I agree that adding 0.0005 instead of 0.00005 was his mistake, being a Bitcoiner one has to be fluent with decimals but there is another aspect to his loss i.e. the tricky interface of gambling sites. They usually enable options like 'double bet after every bet' in default thus making it easy for users to lose everything fast. So I don't recommend people to use automatic bet unless one becomes too familiar with the site.

Lost amount is not too much to feel wrecked but anyone while betting should be careful with their bet amount most no matter at any site,no site can be responsible for human errors.
It may kind of a low amount for others but it could be his last money and he don't have the intention to gamble all of his remaining balance. There are occassions that it's not really on the amount you bet but depends on the situation you are with.
If he is on his final savings then he would immediately moved it to cash out or at least he will be more attentive of what he was doing so this could not be the situation here but yes it depends on the situation what will be his reaction if he did the same thing with 1BTC.

A small mistake on dice made my wallet get emptied. Only mistake is that I didn't added an additional zero to the bet amount. Instead of 0.00005 btc I mistakenly placed 0.0005 btc. Further on the consecutive bets went for a double the value. This all of the sudden emptied my wallet. I didn't watched the wallet until the bet amount in the tab turned zero. Further watched the bet history and understood what big mistake I've done.

This is why I don't enjoy dice games as much as I enjoy playing online poker and other card games. In the latter, I can still improve my skills in that area while in dice games, it pretty much just falls in probability. In card games, a player can minimize his losses with strategies that can be used to come back in the next rounds of the game. I feel bad for OP and I will take this as an important lesson too.

Rightly said, Gamblers always lose and the houses always win and if you are looking and searching to start the business, go for the gambling casino business. This is one business where you will never experience a loss.  Smiley
But that does not seem to apply to those who like to gamble. Every gambler wants to win and continue to be lucky. If someone wants to start a gambling business then I think they should prepare sufficient funds, because this business attracts many people. In my opinion, there are gambling players who want to start this business but they don't have enough funds for it.
However, this business is very profitable and therefore many sites and online gambling houses continue to appear now.

My deepest sympathies to OP. I also experienced almost the same thing two years ago and I am still not over with it. Of course, I took that as a lesson and it made me more cautious whenever I place bets in this kind of games. I do hope that people won't have to experience this just to learn the harsh lesson of being careful in playing online gambling.

Luckily you weren't playing with higher stakes. You've got to be really careful when gambling, especially when playing online. Just a misplaced click or phat fingers syndrome can make a lot of damage to your account. An advice would be to always play when you're sober so your focus doesn't get obfuscated. If you wanna have a drink I'd suggest going to a local physical casino, there you can also have hopefully free drinks and enjoy the social environment.
Why you said OP still on luck? He has lose all of his money because his misplaced the bet. The bet was goes higher and higher until OP bankroll goes to zero without he realize it.

It's funny to think that I had made the same mistake before. A simple mistake could really be severe and that what I learn so every time I place dice I always check my bets. Also, when I got my winnings I save my capital invested in the play so that even if I lose all of my found it would not be a loss for me. This situation is inevitable and I am pretty sure that most of us have been through in this case so don't down yourself.

I think OP will learn from his mistake and will not repeat the same mistake ever again.
He already did and said that he already realized the mistake that he committed.

Worse case if is you use a bot and the bot has a script error that puts a wrong amount or uses a wrong chance (low chance).

Apparently it has happened before which is why 1) I only use Seuntje and 2) I only use a balance I know for sure I can afford to lose.

Tough to hear but at least Op doesn't feel too negative about it;)
Maybe he already got used to experience loss with gambling.  Grin Mistakes like these are common because there are really some days

that we are out of our mind and accidentally presses up buttons which aren't aware until we suddenly saw it after the dice or slots had rollin.
We cant do about it but to move on and just be careful next time.

@Duzter that’s tough luck and I know this is a hard time for you but I would advise you to hold yourself together, do not feel dejected and don’t be harsh on yourself such mistakes are beyond our control. Also I feel you should stop gambling for a bit and put your mind into something constructive so you don’t keep reminding yourself of the mistake you made, and when you feel better come back and gamble again.

For the record you are not the only one who made that mistake .
I have done it before but I was lucky to win on the game.
And this is what most newbie's in crypto have faced before those zero's are really something that you always have to double check before sending or starting a game.

I have actually done this more then once in "real life" at a casino.

1st time) Sat down at a video poker machine and put in a $100 bill. Every other machine in the bank was $1 the one I sat down at on the end was $10 hit max bet. Was $50 instead of $5 oops. Actually got 2 pair so good for me.

2nd time) Playing nickel slots waiting for a friend to get out of a seminar. Got a text from him that he was out and walking towards where we were supposed to meet. Hit max bet instead of cashout. Stone cold sober, had enough sleep, just a brain fart but, instead of a $0.50 (10 coins) I did a $25 bet (500 coins) lost got really pissed at myself.

Those are the 2 that I remember. Over the last 30 years or so of playing in casinos I'm sure I have done it more.

I think for one person, this type of experience is always felt, and probably everyone has this same thought too. Imagine not making mistakes. How would you learn? I know it's impossible to have a perfect result all the time. Even with our decisions in our lives, it's a stepping stone towards to making the right decisions.

I experienced this a lot, and I have to say that I lost more than you lost, based on your photo. Right now, I'm keeping myself controlled with all the emotions and actions that could come up when gambling. The attitude should always be the right one, no sudden bursts thoughts, and the most important thing is that you know your risks. "Risk what you can afford to lose"

Yeah right, before I also often experienced problems like this when betting dice on gambling sites. And in my opinion this is very reasonable, because if we bet with bitcoin definitely by entering  initial amount behind the comma, so it requires accuracy when entering the initial amount of  bet. Therefore I rarely bet on bitcoin, for now I prefer to bet dice with doge, so it's better if something goes mistake.

I understand the feels of these kind of mistakes where you do mistakenly put up some wrong value or bet and its too late when you already noticed and most likely it is on the saddest part where your entire bankroll is already blown up.Carelessness will really lead to loss thats why when we put up bets be sure that we double check it until we press that roll button, one simple mistake will really cost you and you cant turn it back.Just move on and dont tend or plan to chase those losses because it will just me the situation goes worst.
