I am planning to sell all 0.6 bitcoins that I have come October. There's a special occasion coming up that needs some extra money. I would have to sell it whatever the price by October will be. I don't know how I'd feel by then. Maybe I'll just start from scratch again repeat the cycle that I started just a few months ago.

I think it can be good but I would hold them a bit longer to be honest, of course its your own decision but its okay.
I think everyone has their thoughts about selling and also for what and which point.

I sold almost all my coins today for about 200 USD (that's what I had in my electrum wallet) and have very few coins sitting on my hardware wallet. I want to build a medium-high end gaming PC and this money is need for me to buy it. Did I do wrong that I sold a high amount of bitcoins about 0.35 to achieve my goal ? I am also happy that I am near fulfilling my goal but also sad as maybe the price of bitcoin skyrockets soon after I did this.

What ever I am the person who wants to achieve my goals no matter the cost so f it whatever the case with the price of bitcoin.

Well I wouldn't worry to much because you have hold these bitcoins to spend one day which has come in your life in something useful.

If you have sold yesterday then today the price has changed (-$30) so I think you were pretty lucky selling at a higher rate, money is to be spared to spend later, but if you are bitcoin addicted then you soon will buy bitcoin for sure.

Correct, we should  not only worry on the negative side that bitcoin might  increase its price tomorrow  there still had the chance that you sold them at a exact time since bitcoins price is unpredictable it might rise or go low. As long you bought something useful with your bitcoin its always a good thing after all.

I only spend my bitcoins when I am in a very tight financial situations. Other than that I intent to keep them safe in my wallet. I hope I can keep it that way until the price boom of bitcoin. I do not want to spend them on gadgets that loses value and replaced by new models after 6 months.

it really depends on your situation.

for example if i were you i would have used my money in the bank that is lying around to buy what i needed. it was only 200 USD afterall.

but in case i am in need of money and there is no other way of summoning that money, i would start liquidating my investments which is mostly bitcoin.

There's nothing wrong with doing what you want with your money/bitcoins in my opinion. I'm sure you thought about it, weighed your options with your goals and decided that using your bitcoins to help you get what you wanted was the right thing to do for you.

Different people with different goals/priorities in the same situation as you may or may have done something different, but either way, there's nothing wrong with doing what you want with your money/bitcoin.

I guess it was not wrong. if you have to sell bitcoin that you have the price is quite expensive, I think it is enough, although there is a sense that you are not satisfied of having missed the highest price. but I feel that it is still profitable because you can sell it when prices are rising. you just need to collect the coins again and wait until the price went up and resell. nothing is certain in the world of coin

It may be unfashionable to admit it, but Bitcoin is the last thing I'd sell to buy major items. I spend it on bits and bobs but no more. The last major electronic item I bought was paid for by selling off my old ones. That felt very satisfying and leaves me unemotional about future BTC price explosions.

Eh, it's hard to say.  I've done the same thing with bitcoin and some other investments in my life, but I try not to brood on that.  At least you're doing something fun with the money,  and it wasn't all that much.  It was probably a good choice for you.

I think you are wrong. if it is your last bitcoin, but you have a desire to buy something. I think you need a little patience to wait for prices to rise, or better to take the risk by growing it. because when you can grow it more is better, so you will not regret it, has sold everything and did not have any more.

If anything why not do both lol.

Split the .5 btc and let the other rise for when it does make a bit of profit - and still be back in the game its what I would be doing.. but we cant really dictate price obviously.

If you needed money that you made right decision. After searching some thing on internet, I saw that prices for bitcoins are higher then for dollars. Also with dollars you can find good promo and discount.
You will make 0.35 again, don`t you worry about it, you did what you have to, its better then to borrow money and they give it back. Also I advise you if you make some money in real life, put in bitcoins, then you will make up what you gave now.
Never regret for things you did, if you need good computer and you made enough bitcoins for that, you need to be happy.

if you buy your bitcoin below 600$ and think the profit enough for your self then it really good and there is nothing wrong or even you feel the need for some money and you convert the bitcoin  in your local currency to fulfill your need it also right, because you the owner of your bitcoin and you have the right to use it according to your wishes.

If it really makes you happy and satisfied that you fulfilled your goal so there is no reason you to feel regret it is just about the price you can still make and earn bitcoin with the same amount you sold in just a few months don't worry i think bitcoin will not rise too quickly . Just remember the thing that makes you happy that is bought by your bitcoin happiness is priceless . What is done is done just let it go and move on . Lmao . Hahaha

Well if you already achieved to  build a high end gaming pc then theres no need  to regret since you benefited with it even you  sold them at a cheaper price but we could not actually avoided  the emotion of  a little bit worried  or regretting because we know that bitcoin price would rise and  possibly you would even buy more 2x high end  computer when the time comes.

Bitcoin is just meant to be store your cash in safer place and also with the possibility to increase your total fiat with every rise in bitcoin price. You have sold it to fullfill your goals so i don't think you have done anything wrong.

Dude, you're in a situation that hold Bitcoin and wait for higher prices won't affect you. If you were in a situation like a trader, a miner or someone else who's dependant and move or accumulate lot of coins based in your job and so on, it could affect, like somebody here who sold 50BTC in the lower period of 2015 for 1/4 of the actual value. His coins were results of his investments and by fear be sold.. So That''s a huge mistake.
