Putting all your money into bitcoin would be very risky. The price is extremely volatile and thus you can easily lose all your funds within hours. Rather having a capital and trading on that or investing on it is more profitable. Make sure to get back you capital along with profit for a successful trade.
it will be the consequences for someone who wants to invest. we are given the option to earn a profit by taking risks.
if we just stay quiet then we would not get any.
It is not the consequences because putting our money in bitcoin will give you a good future, but admittedly there is a risk in investing so it is not a one way investment only because we can be successful or experience failure in the future. Do not put all your money in bitcoin as it is too risky, you have needs also.

I agree investment itself is a gamble but unlike gambling games it can have a calculated risk.  As for me 50% to 70% to be put to investment is fine.  It will give you a decent amount of profit and at the same time can give you at least something left in your pocket if something went wrong with your investment.

Look. It is still your choice. No one will stop you if you mean to invest in it. The next part will be the risky one. Are you willing to take the risk? Almost everyone here are decided to take that. If you cant, you might want to reconsider. Simple as that.

I put most of my money into bitcoin how about you?
i had also invested my money of about 80% . and monthly my percentage of investment in btc ( to change money in btc ) is increasing .but i think to turn all money in btc is not safe because with btc anything can be done . i mean what if the government of the country in which you lives declare the btc as illegal and ban to use it .

I agree with you, if we put our whole amount in any business field, than it is total risky for you, so better is that we should have balance in our business fields like bitcoin or like others. But in bitcoin, it is more than risky, because we use bitcoin as a crypto currency and its price give us profit, but if its price suddenly down, than it is a big lose for us, so should use only that amount which you know better for bitcoin and also for you.

Very true indeed because bitcoins price is too volatile and  if we intend to put all our money  to bitcoin then its risky since we dont know what would be the price on upcoming days, weeks, month or years. If  we decide to put  all our  money and assets  into bitcoin you must  know the consequences  when the bitcoins price would turn upside down.

False! You will never lose all your funds when the price tanks significantly. You'll still have your coins that are exactly the same amount as when you bought them.

I have seen the value of my coins go down in value like 15% at the time the price started to fall due to Bitfinex, but did I lose anything? Nope. I kept holding my coins and see now the price has gone up again.

You'll make losses at the moment your panic feeling wins from you and you sell your coins. If you don't do that, then nothing will be lost.

Currently I have less than 5% of my personal wealth in bitcoin, and since I’m not that wealthy then that means I do not have a lot of BTC, but I plan to put at least 20% of my wealth in five years

the point is, it doesn't matter how much you invest ($1 or $1Mil) what matters is that you only invest what you can afford to lose. that is the first rule of any kind of investment.
you make an assessment of the risks and rewards and if the ratio is good enough you then think about how much you are willing to put in.

setting your time frame and trying to achieve it from time to time will make you succeed in bitcoin investment just don't use it while saving it keep buying btc and wait till the price rise up more, but don;t put everything on it as we new many things can happen especially the movement is keep on fluctuating.

About 10 - 20% of my funds. So that's most of it.
The rest are for the bills, food, school fees, daily miscellaneous, other necessities, etc, etc, etc. sigh.
I guess I'm just like most people here who's betting on upward tilt in volatility.
More importantly, I have control of my own funds, I could use it whenever I want, I could earn just by holding, instead of having it sit on my bank for pitifully low interest and loaned to who knows where.

Never did this and also never planned to do this because its way too risky to invest such amounts, you need that money and it also stays a investment it can go down but also up.
For me it would feel like gambling with my money, it can go to the wrong way but also the good way.

It is very risky but I put most of my money into bitcoin but not all of it I would have to be crazy to do that I will put even more before another halving kind of event would happen and then I dump all my bitcoins when everybody starts to dump it aswell.

I put everything in bitcoin and harware. Nowdays I have much more then I had in 2013 but it was very difficult because I was mining then I had to sell hardware, sell BTC in localbitcoins, trading and mining and selling in parallel marketplaces, but in the end it was very positive to put all money in BTC.
