For me trading and investing is just the same. Its just that they have different process of earning money. Its up to the person where he/she is good at.

If it is the same then I think they would never say that it has a difference and the OP will obviously not make this thread for asking about it right? Investing and Trading are not the same, they are different. Trading is more popular than investing but I asked some people and they do not know that they are doing it almost everyday. When you buy or sell something, that counts as a trade. When you spend your money into something that can be of value in the future, that is investment.

I somewhat disagree with you since trading and investing are the same. You buy at some point and sell at some point. The only difference is the time-frame you are holding.

So when you use your money and invested in a site, commonly a gambling site do you trade the profit you have? When you invest in a company usually with fiat, do you trade that money? Not all the things you invested requires money, and not all of that profit you get from those investments are also money. You can invest time but you can't trade what you can get from that.

Trading really need some skills and also you must not let your emotion dictate you what to do when coin's value is already low,

but investing you just need some patience and long time for you to earn your profit,

and you need to do some research on where to invest your money to avoid losing it.

Trading process: If need to start the trading process you will invest first. You know use the trading process you will compete trading process on time. Time is important for the trading process. Peopel will be connect you for buy and sell coin. So trading is connect the people

Trading process is online it will connect the people for the exchange the coin any country country. You will easy to sell and buy the coin for the future growth and invest. Trading process is good opportunity for the buy and sell coins and you will get more information. But before you wil trde you will know the how compete the trading and how find the good trader. So plan to work and process.

Investmet:

Invest is good opportunity for you will business process and get more profit. If need to invest othe coin you will be choose coin. Then you will invest for the future growth. This also time to change the prices. So you will check the market places for invest for future growth. If invest any coin you will check the coin prices every day. If prices will be increase you will sell it. If no need you will hold it.

I think this is a matter of time, in general investment takes longer, while trading does not take long, even within hours have seen profit or loss, for me prefer trading because with trading we can quickly take decisions.

For me, the difference between trading and investing is not too big. Yes, it is a different way to gain some bitcoin, but the only difference between the two is the way how you are earning it. Trading is a just short method of obtaining bitcoin; you will purchase if the bitcoin’s price decrease and sell it if the bitcoin price increase. But in investing you will spend your money and just hold it for a long time if you want, and sell it if it becomes profitable.  Smiley

I think the difference between merchandise and investment is how you make a decision, when investing you simply put your money for a certain period and if you're lucky you get a profit and vice versa.
But if your trade is under control how you get it you just have to look at the market and know when prices will go up and swap at that time.

Trading is when you are constantly monetoring the cryptocurrency market as to buy coins when they are low and sell when they are high to make profit. Investment on the other hand is buying a coin and keeping it down for the purpose of making profit when the coin grows in the future

The difference of trading and investment is that when you are engage in trading it might be buying ,selling or exchanging goods immediately ,while in investment you put up money to a goods that are not consume immediately ,and wait for the value of this goods to go high, thats the time you sell it to high value.

There is no big difference between trading and investing
Trading is a short time investment it ends in the short period of time but investment is going for ling period and it useful for future generations .
Yeah I agree with you that trading is short time invesment, buying at a lower price and sell it
at a higher price for short period of time. while investing is buying at any amount and sell it in long term.

I respectfully disagree. Trading and Investing are technically the same thing. The only difference is their respective time-frames of holding.

as far as I know, when you invest you just make your money wait in a place for a period of time and you don`t have to do anything for it but trading is when you sell buy, follow market trends and are active.

Investing, on the other hand, is a long-term undertaking. Featuring a portfolio of different cryptocurrencies, fiat risk hedging and business objectives. In most cases, Bitcoin investors are indifferent to price volatility and unlikely to give up on the investment easily.
By contrast, Bitcoin trading is more of a short-term endeavour. Getting on the market, staying in trade for a maximum of few months and moving on as soon as the price reaches its peak. Hence, Bitcoin traders are known to be price-sensitive and abandoning the market when it becomes unprofitable.

In investing, the control goes out of us and we become dependent on the project managers and CEOs. In trading, we only dependent on the world and other traders. We depend on our talent in trading.

For more clear:
Quote
Trade is a basic economic concept involving the buying and selling of goods and services, with compensation paid by a buyer to a seller, or the exchange of goods or services between parties.

Quote
An investment is an asset or item that is purchased with the hope that it will generate income or will appreciate in the future.
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/i/investment.asp

It's very different. For more clear you can do some practice, to see how the different by your own eyes.
It sure does have obviously, different meanings in the dictionary that is. But the things is, he wanted to know the difference between Trading and Investing cryptocurrency-wise.

You've just exploited the meaning of those two words but don't have the proper explanation towards each when it comes to this platform.

Its more like, a trade can be an investment and an investment can be a trade.

You see, by means of trading, you also hope that someone will going to buy your items in order to gain either profits (money) or other goods (other coins). And by investing you're expecting to have profit by lending something (more like buying, decrease an amount of your money) - capital, and then trying to have somethings in return, like I said more money or another good.

A more cleared example is that, you've bought seeds then you plant them, took care of them. After that they grew and had abundance, so those goods that have been produced will be sold in exchange of money or another good.

See, it doesn't mean that you've already get the meaning those words, it will just ends there.

Investing and trading are two very different methods of attempting to profit in the financial markets. The goal of investing is to gradually build wealth over an extended period of time through the buying and holding of a portfolio of stocks, baskets of stocks, mutual funds, bonds and other investment instruments. Investors often enhance their profits through compounding, or reinvesting any profits and dividends into additional shares of stock. Investments are often held for a period of years, or even decades, taking advantage of perks like interest, dividends and stock splits along the way. While markets inevitably fluctuate, investors will "ride out" the downtrends with the expectation that prices will rebound and any losses will eventually be recovered. Investors are typically more concerned with market fundamentals, such as price/earnings ratios and management forecasts.
