For me it is the time frame for which you plan to hold onto the coins. For investing it almost always will be above 3 months (unless dire circumstances) but for trading the time to hold onto the coin could be anywhere from 1 day to 3 months time and that is trading for me.

Investment is the placement of a sum of money or capital in an instrument, such as a stock, in the hope that the money will increase. Investors also buy stocks at low prices and sell at higher prices. The difference in investment with trading lies within the range of buying and selling time.
Trading, in my opinion, is superior to investing, especially in altcoins. Note that I'm not talking about Bitcoin here

hopefully i am not wrong in explaining it this is my opinion
trading that we invest our capital but we who manage it, profit and loss we specify
but if investment is we invest our capital but here we are passive not much we can do with our capital, just waiting for result of them
For me trading and investing is just the same. Its just that they have different process of earning money. Its up to the person where he/she is good at.

for now trading is not good since bitcoin is always red everyday there is no time to earn , the best way to do is to invest you will just put your coin and let it earn the more you invest the more you will get as long as the coin that you invested is a good coin , unlike to trading you need to put your time to look if the price is good to trade or not . so i go for investing rather than trading .

Trading is like buying of cryptocurrencies be it small or large volume, HODL it and sell it at a higher price to buy another cryptos again or it's like the old barter system. In trading, you always have to be active so you can monitor the the crypto as to its market price actvities. On the other hand, investing is purely one way wherein you are going to buy a cryptocurrency and sell it when you can already earn profit.
Some thoughts trading and investing is the same but it's a big mistake because trading and investing is difference from each other. Trading is exchanging an item or product for another product.
