Your concept of trading is right but I want to just correct you in your idea of what is investment. Investment refers to any kind of business and activity that needs capital that expects profit. And in that category you can say that trading is a kind of investment. Again I will say this, " All trading activities = investment, but not all investment refers to trading only.

The difference of Trading and Investing is, Because I used to trading between BTC to Altcoin trading is an activity in which we make a purchase at a altcoin in a market, before buy the coin i will see the market situation and history of coin price and I will sell when prices rise. While Investing we put our money in the investment company with hopes get profit from company's activities. Both had hoped to get profit.
both of them is difference, but to make it easier to understand, when you investing, you trust your money to someone and you don't need and can't do anything with your money until certain period, when you trading, you used your skill and knowledge to generate profit and you need to some work in trading, you need to pay attention to the chart and keep the updated news everyday

Well trading is basically a short term investment with the hope of making high dividends whereas investment is a long term attempt of making profits from the financial markets. Investors basically factor risks into their plan and hope their profits will outweigh their losses while traders look to maximize profit only from technical analysis and other future predictions; they barely hope to incur loss.
What do you mean by hope? For pro traders, they dont hope things, they really earn this by analyze everthing and start to make profit. By saying hope means it is depends on your luck whether bitcoin prize will rise or fall. Mean while investing you really need to play it with huge balance and start to hope you will earn because we cant do much about our money while investing it

In Investing you have to very active in first plan, to know about project or thing is good to invest and after that you just wait.
In Trading, you have very active to maintain your trade, analytics, read news while you place an order
While you invest your money in something then you loose total control from your funds as your investment will decide your profits and future returns but in trading your action will determine your results as you very well know when to enter or exit and that is the reason why people choose trading over investment.

Trading is about buying and selling for another price hoping to get profit, so you don't care about some specific thing you have faith in. Investing is about giving some money to casino, for example, to get passive income.There is also the option to invest in a trading fund. Doing so the manager of the fund will use the investors' money to hopefully trade for a profit.
