Investing is making your money idle for gaining benefits in long term basis.Trading is investing money in a coin or shares aiming to get profits mainly in short term basis. In trading, you can switch your investment to any coin or share based on market situations.Trading involves risk.Example for investment is investing in gold. Trading can be done by investing in bitcoin or in any altcoin.

Guys sorry for this question above but I would like to ask here that

What is the difference of Trading to Investing?

though I know that I can search it in google but I want an answer from those people who have already experienced this two.
Thank you.

I hope you can help me in my confusion..

First of all I would like to correct something about the quoted questions above. Those two which is Trading and Investing are great tandem actually. we cannot segregate it, because as we all know trading is the bridge for us to become rich through bitcoin and for us to do investing other coins for us to buy bitcoin if we trade it in exchange site. Therefor, trading is one the technique if we are going to put our investment in the coins as an assets.

Very obvious difference, but I did both. Trading was very nice to make money in quick time but also has a great risk that the money is gone. Whereas investing is to make money in the long term. If you are new to trading, I suggest you to play in a small amount. a good investment is an investment that provides certainty advantage.

I don't see any difference here when we are talking with crypto currencies. That act is obvious investing, in the future when the value rise, you will exchange that in fiat anyway for profit.

theres a difference, when you say investing you are going with the long time, you need to wait time in order to have profit. and when the trading you just need to wait for a moment and sell at the right time. and in investing you need some affiliates and in trading you can do it with your own.

In investing, you are just waiting for the time when will our investment will earn, nevertheless just like in trading, if the value goes high, our money will earn. Investing needs a lot of time to earn, while in trading, if the value becomes high, you can pay it out fast.

Trading is a bet on short-term profits. If you are on the right side of the trade, you can make money whether the market moves up or down,
Investing is when you are long-term bullish on an asset.
Yes, time factor explain the major difference between trading and investing. We need to choose proper assets to trade or invest.

Some assets are good for only trading not suitable for investing. Fortunately bitcoin bring both trading and investing opportunity under one roof.

If we start trading with bitcoin and not finding profitable factors then we can easily switch into investing to ensure our profits.

The trader buys shares in order to sell in the short term with a profit. He is more interested in the price of the stock at present and in the near future that has the economic health of the company in question. Traders use the psychology of stock markets, the evolution of prices according to graphical figures and the study of supply and demand. Traders allow the market to be liquid, i.e. to find a counterparty to purchase and sale to close positions. Thus the trader allows the investor to buy and sell shares on the financial markets by providing the liquidity needed for ease of transactions.

Major traders are those of commercial banks. they are responsible for the majority of transactions on the stock market in volume. then you have market makers who have contracts with companies to ensure the liquidity of their shares and finally the funds of arbitration, which changes its business sector to invest instantly based on the relative strength. Then full-fledged trading companies that are trading for individuals. Finally more more individuals begin to trade them even within their portfolio action even if this activity often wants to make his own career in the end.

Investing is a more large term wich can include trading
You can  invest in stock option, gold, bitcoin, real estate, ect ,ect. Saving can be also considered as investing

It is fairly simple concept. Trading usually is a short term way to make profit if you are successful with it it can take less than a year, months, weeks, days, or even just in minutes of course in Trading it has higher risk compared to Investing. In Investing you usually hold something for more than a year to expect profit from it and usually is less risky than trading if you plan your investments well.

To me trading is exchanging one coin against another. That happens instantly and you can exchange it back every second.
Investing means to me that you give a part of your money to another person, with the intention to get one day more money back than you gave the person.
But getting your money back is not possible on such a short notice than it is with trading.
It is usually determined to a certain date, or it takes some time (in which a lot can happen).

There is little bit difference between trading and investing where as coming to trading money will in your control you will find the coin which is best sited for you and it should be capable of making profits from it, where as investing is different scenario you will be investing in third party he is controlling you money and will give small profits from it.

we should always think that trading and investing main purpose is to earn. but theres a different ways on each where you can earn. first on trading you should hold your temptation, you should learn bitcoins move. you should study where bitcoin will dump or up. if youre not aware of those you will just fail in trading. while on investing, you should know where to invest like if that product can produce or it will just be a waste. maybe researching of the product can help you decide where would you invest.

Honestly after reading most of the posts here am a bit confused but i know there is a very small difference between the two, as all will have a sole purpose of getting a profit at the end of the day .
And the way i understand it... trading  can be a form of investment that can be done by yourself or delegated to someone while an investment will require a third party to grow your money in a short or long period of time.

There are differences, trading is mostly associated with short period of time while investing is long term. A good example in Ethereum ICO, those that invest into it, it takes more than 18 months before the platform was delivered and get significant profit on their investment. Also, you can invest in casino business, faucets etc

I think this article can somehow define the difference between trading and investing.

http://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/12/difference-investing-trading.asp

it is said that they are two different method and it is said that:
Quote
The goal of investing is to gradually build wealth over an extended period of time through the buying and holding of a
portfolio of stocks, baskets of stocks, mutual funds, bonds and other investment instruments

So they are the kinds that is more concern on the market fundamentals

While trading involves a frequent buying and selling of stocks, and is more incline to take profit in short period of time

The goal of trading is essentially the same

That is, building wealth "over an extended period of time through the buying, holding, and selling" of all the mentioned assets. As to me, the question itself is pretty meaningless and pointless since trading is a technique of earning money using your investments in stocks, bonds, currencies and "other investment instruments", just like renting out your property is a technique of earning money through your investments in real estate. Let's keep it simple, folks

Main point is that, both have differences with each other. But if you want clear answer than i suggest you, should try both things. I mean do trading and also investment, than off course you no need to explanation for anyone.
But in my view, Trading you do himself and gain money from it, to using your ability and skills. But in investment, you don't need to do hardworking, only give your amount to any other person's hand and gain profit from them, but in investment we need trust able person. And Finally, both are similar only one point and that is both are risky.

Well, I think investing contains trading in it and you can not say that trading is different from investing. There are billions of people on this planet who are investing on different aspects such as business, stores, building, etc and I also consider paying school fees for your children is a kind of investing.

Trading can last in just a day or two or even weeks but investing means putting your money for the development of the project. Its always been that ways as far as i know. I trade on altcoins but I don't keep the coins for long on the coins that i sure don't have much development for the future.

Investing in trading and investing without doing anything is different, investing in trading just adding your money in risk but it can gives you more income than investing without doing nothing, higher risk equals more income.
It seems that investing is more risky rather than trading because your profit will depenf on the market. Investing will be risky because there is a chance you may lose if you invest in company and turns to scam and mostly it will take time for the ROI
