I have a lot of DGBs and I am holding. I didnt sell at 2300 satoshi - in long term it should be more.

I think once people realize not to sell and the value of the investment over time, we will cruise way past the all time high. Lot of volatility going on right now.

Um...if you bought dgb any time after the June pump (past 5 months) and held you lost plain and simple. There are hundreds of coins that made a killing and are still way ahead. The fact that dgb did nothing after the rebrand, website and citi award speaks volumes about the future of the coin. You don't have to like the facts but they are still facts.

Uhh yea your post makes sense...dgb did "nothing" after the "rebrand", "new website", "citi award", etc... you make yourself look bad so think sometimes Smiley

Also, I want to clarify something for people that keep coming up. Many people are asking why they cannot use DiguSign by paying with DigiBytes yet.

The answer is three-fold, I pushed for allowing the use of DGB as a currency from day one but was overruled by rest of team and investor for the following reasons.

1) Our target market was not existing crypto users, but mainly established corporations and real-world businesses. Adding DGB would be very confusing and brought instant red flags and really made getting to corporate clients much more difficult. Most corporate people even right now have no idea what a blockchain is or a cryptocurrency.

2) Existing money transmission and anti-money laundering laws. By adding that in there it added many, many more additional regulations from a legal perspective. In some jurisdictions it could be argued at that point we could be acting like an "exchange."

3) Accounting practices. We all know DGB value fluctuates wildly. For now pretty much every crypto business still does their accounting in fiat terms.
We wanted to take the path of least resistance to actually get real-world adoption of DigiByte started within the existing corporate world.
We all agreed at some future date when the market perspective had changed it would definitely be added as a payment method.

Yeah you're right, Bitcoin is on a bull run at the moment, we're in blue sky territory at the moment so just gotta wait for things to calm down again.  I managed to mine a little bit of DGB back before the difficulty jumped.  There's still a big community behind Digibyte and as soon as the price starts getting back on track, a lot of people will come running back.

But it seems Bitcoin is not back on track for a long time. We got bull run, or bear, we need it to keep stable for a while

Looking at the charts just for this year it looks like Bitcoin is doing pretty well.  We've just had all time high, pullback, all time high, pullback, all time high etc.  Sure it's still pretty volatile compared to other markets, buts we are still seeing massive gains and the volatility gives you a chance to make a lot of money if you don't lose your nerve when trading.

There's a HUGE sell order at 246 on Bittrex right now..  almost half the DGB volume there.

I'm new to trading..  Is that a normal thing?  Is it worrisome?  Seems like a pretty hefty wall to climb to get to 247..

Dont worry about current markets as they are flooded with inexperienced traders and manipulators.

DGB is a project that you buy and hold.

I advise against day trading alts unless you are an experienced expert as there are too many uncertains day to day in the alts.

Buy a bag of DGB, remove them from the exchange and wait for $1.

Guys the fall of the market since June is no just affecting DGB. Look around you, Strats, Bitshares and many others dropped by 30-90% since the big pump in June. YEs, DGB took a bigger hit but do you believe DGB and all those coins are now dying ? I don't think so !

Most of the people have old Bitcoins at cheaper price. They should make some diversification and DGB is one of the powerful coins I also will suggest to must have at least some fraction of the total coins. I am doing same because its future looks interesting and prosper.

That seems the general consensus..   I mined most of my coins and moved them to Bittrex (around 300) a couple days ago, bought some more just for kicks, aaaaaaaand promptly lost 33% value.. haha!

I like the coin and see potential for its blockchain.  I'll give a couple weeks to recover and re-evaluate.  That 246 sell order tho..   56.3mil DGB up for grabs.

That wall has come & gone the past few days. It seems the person doesn't really want to sell I think. It seems to be set at the same price as well, which is unusual.
Given that they obviously hold so much you would think it would be better for them to try & move the price up now but some people are in it for small margins it seems.

Bought dgb at 290, didn't sell when it was high, and to be honest, I'm not even worried. I was going to buy more at 250, but now looking at charts I see dgb has bounced up from 200 to 209.

Looks like this was the bottom..?

Bitcoin at 5130

The bottom is 50 satoshi  Wink
