As for a white paper, I don't mind there is no DGB specific white paper. BTC had the start, go read its white paper.

You know, that’s your decision and I respect it, even though it’s opposite my views.

What’s more, and again, in spite of it being the antithesis of what I support, I respect you much more than the coward who simply tries to evade the topic or sweep it under the rug.

Like the people involved in DASH who say they don’t care about the instamine, you have the right to say you don’t care about the lack of documentation.

As long as everyone is informed, then everyone’s entitled to their own decision.

However, just as I respect you, I think it’s only fair you respect my point of view too, don’t you?

If there’s no problem with you saying you don’t care, what problem is there with me saying I do?

In fact, society values those who express their concerns.

I care about the lack of documentation and have been actively taking advantage of every opportunity over the last couple of years to say so and try to instigate a change for the positive. What’s the problem with that?

That’s one thing that should have stayed at that.

The problem is when you are intimidated, attacked and slandered for your legitimate views (and good documentation is legitimate, of course, it’s a best practice), and when it’s the Dev himself, then all the warning lights should go off. (And when it's personal character assassination, one should be duly indignant.)

Is this so hard to see?

I had him pull the “read the code yourself” on me last year with questions about how the individual algos reset their individual difficulty to mine settings and whether they were linked or not. I chalked it up to his own emotional limitations and not being able to handle the directness of our questions. What’s doubly concerning today is that a year has gone by and the same response was given to someone else at their first asking. There’s no emotion involved in being concerned about a pattern of behavior that continues to this day and flies in the face of all conventional wisdom regarding what it takes for a tech project to succeed.

First there was astonishment on my part, then indignation, and I’ve explained this enough already. Let it be a word to the wise, and to those who just don’t get it, we can all turn the page and go on.

(And no, even though these things would have been indirectly included in the offer I made to DigiByte, none of this was a material aspect.)

P.S. To those of you with your hallucinogenic theories about why this happened, or what my motivations are, etc., give it a rest. It’s not that complicated. It is what it is. You can accept it or not, but not accepting it won't change what it is. And the best thing, of course, is to accept reality as it is and not try to impose what you think it should be. Did I say a word to the wise already?

Never though that your opinion was to be kept to yourself or that it deserved no respect. Just offered another perspective from a long-time holder's point of view.
No. And I didn't want to insinuate that was your intention. Simply wanted to use your comment as the basis for a general description of the situation to everyone here. It was not specifically directed at you, and I apologize if it came off that way. Not at all. Just a good opportunity to illustrate a healthy dichotomy for everyone to contemplate.

Nice little break we've seen today.  Twitter looks nice an optimistic too.  Great job on contacting exchanges everyone and hope all of you, and DigiByte, have a good weekend.
Bitcoin is rising again. Thats gonna have negative effect on every alt. but still DGB is holding strong.

The FAVs are all rising. I said this before (but someone thought I was only talking about DGB . . . damn, got to grow a brain there, or learn to read): it's a rip roarin', ball bustin' bull market. Watch total market cap double by July (and that's my conservative estimate). Even DGB will rise!  Cheesy

I'll buy in the 175-200 range first though.

DGB is always last in the cycle.

But 1000 is possible sometime in the next few weeks. Who knows? This is crypto!

And it's in a major bull market.

Total market cap will have to increase x more than 10 times before even equaling Apple.

800 million!!!!

Even DGB will go up, so relax.

What does that mean @canman?

DigiByte Bootstrap

We can leave it there until someone has a more permanent, more appropriate place.

For all newcomers. It speeds up the initial sync. Mining pools are on the OP, and all have instructions on their websites. Which algo you mine depends on your mining configuration. (And there should be a cut and paste link to a helpful FAQ . . .)

Good mining to you.

Still looking for a more suitable place for that bootstrap file BTW, if anyone has one.

Add: DGB bullishly configured on the charts now. Moving my bid higher. Just trading. Everyone who read and studied my Fib retrace buy/sell strategies knows where that bid goes. And remember, it's a trade, not a position.

Add2: BTC has it's 2000 print. The high end of a sideways correction is set I think.
Whats your view on the bid for dgb?

Well I totally sold out and made a bucket load of profit. I couldn't resist. Thank you to the whales on poloniex and digibyte team for the great reward. At one stage I thought it would never happen, if it goes to a 1000 still there is no regrets from my side. Will buy again if it dips under 100.

You know if trend is up, it sure as hell won't stop at 1000 satoshi. If I was you I would not sell all of it and keep at least 1/3.
But it is good for the coin that you sold now. It's better to have that amount of coins spread among many users than only one guy, who bought in when the price was way down.

I have sold all my coins and like I said it does not matter if it goes to 1000 or 2000 , the main thing is I made a lot of profit. Majority of coins it looked like 1 buyer at a time . I would say split over 5 traders.

Hi guys, new to the coin here, looks great to me, and I want to start trading with it. My question is, In case I want to sell some for EUR/USD, is there a safe site to do so?
DGB is available in Bittrex which has a USD market so you can try there. You can actually just buy BTC using EUR/USD then trade in any sites you likes most. Right now Polo is leading the volume by a very large margin but constant problems happening until now make some people relocate to other exchanges.

which Digibyte I should be mining?

Digibyte (Groestl)
Digibyte (Qubit)
Digibyte (Skein)
Digitalcoin (X11)

AFAIK that is all digibyte except digitalcoin (don't know about that) the only difference is what algorithm you want to mine it, depends on your mining rig/device also.

thanks , I have gtx1060, so which one I should choose?

I'm not a PRO when it comes to mining things so i would suggest you to try to mine using those algorithms and check which one will give you more coins in the long run or just wait for someone here to give a good advice to you. good luck Smiley
