DGB the coin that is falling the most today. It's a shame that this coin is turning into a cash ATM for Asic miners. Soon there will be no hope and DGB will die before other projects.
but why is it dropping like a rock???
i have quite some of them and the value vanishes like ice to the sun...
dgb dissapoints me soo much right now....
It's falling like this because of Asic miners who are selling non-stop to cashout. DGB devs are not addressing the mining issue fast enough and this will kill this coin.
Lol, and the gpu miners that use 10x more electricity hold them all right? Your comment is a total joke.....
The asic miners usually dump a coin much faster because asics are useless after a small time frame , so the users must take the asic miner's value back+some profit.
Gpus can get their value back even after 2 years + (in reality my first msi gaming x 1060 now was sold in bigger price than the price at which I had bought it ...!).
So yes , gpu miners usually don't dump a coin like the asic miners!
About the electricity now... probably you have misunderstood some things:
There are many guys (countless I would say) who use their single gpu or their 2 gpus for mining as a hobby when they don't play with their Pc.
Even those who have invested in small rigs with 4-5 1060 or 1070 cards have an electricity consumption of max 700 watts. This is a consumption , the cost for which the most can afford to pay , without selling their coins.
Those guys are much more in number than the crazy gpu investors having 20x1080tis etc.
This is where decentralization is based on.
They mine with hardware that they had anyway !
The Asic owners in contrast have a consumption around 400w per asic and it is extremely RARE to find a person who ordered just one ASIC. It is TOO specialized , pricey and mining only dedicated hardware that almost always you will find guys having farms of asics if not around 3-4 (which are supported by the most usual 1400-1600 power supplies of bitmain).
So it is obvious that both from an energy consumption perspective AND value take-back , the biggest dumpers are the ASIC miners and NOT the gpu miners.
