something wrong with the top100 on block explorer....it says i have 669cube but i only have 667....were are those missing 2

Definitely! If people hold it and don't dump, there will be less coins on the market and the price will be stable and going up. This will attract additional people, who will buy more and drive the value further up.....
So, it depends a lot on the community itself

(I had noticed many of my stakes being 0.054758 too... so this obviously should cure that too...)

Yes this is your reason of low/no CUBE staking, always remember after staking your block to Create a new receiving address inside wallet, click coin control, select all inputs & send with transaction fee (Which is shows you) to the address you just created.
You will get more Compounding if you do it in 1 Block Transactions, always remember to do it after confirming your stake otherwise it will constantly split down and take a lot longer to stake.
Additionally luck can play a part in staking but remember you also won't miss out on your Daily Interest if its taking a while to stake since it is 5.479452054794521% Interest Per Day which will be ever increasing until you do.
You don't need a new receiving address. You can just select all the inputs and send em to your original address. I have done it countless times now and only have one address in my wallet.
Well you don't need to but then it is easily traceable to the owner if certain people are watching the blockchain and address deposits to exchanges.

You need to enable coin control and put all your inputs together again. Every time you stake it splits an input and when the reward for the input gets under 0.01 cube you get 0 cube. So any input smaller then like 1 cube needs to be recombined in order to start getting rewards again.
