While watching my wallet stakes I closed it immediately after seeing my address turns to red, luckily the 1.8 million negative stakes didn't go through.

Most devs would be all over compensating anyone who followed their exact instructions and lost shitloads of coins for doing so

Okay, I upgraded to the new wallet, so now I have to wait for the fork to stake? okokk.. I don't have to make new inputs again right? Before the 1 mil block I already made 3 inputs of 2.2-2.3mil..

I have not yet initiated the fork. In 40 minutes, CUBE will be forked to v2.1
The new stake rate, however, does not kick in until block 1.01m
