This coin is dumped by pretty much every reputable trade site, but I'd still mine it if it didn't look like disorganized scamming..

here is the server needed:https://github.com/zone117x/node-open-mining-portal

here is a informitive thread:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=482335.0

I can have it up on a digital ocean VPS with ubuntu in hours, but I don't see profit in it..

I'll set yours up in hours for 0.35BTC in escrow. There is no way for me to scam you paying this way.

Dumped where? How can an exchange dump a coin? And there is only one.
That pool source is 1.5 years old..old technology ..won't work.
And no thanks...but thanks for the pool offer.

What good is it with no pools with 70% rejects and one person now only with his private pool  mining this coin.

I will try to setup a new P2P pool. But I have no experience with pools.
I asked someone else for a mpos type pool ... see what the response is.
Thx
EDIT:The problem with lulupon pool is the technology ...it needs a more modern difficulty adjustment implementation like nicehash has.

I will have to inform myself about mpos. My first test with the P2Pool seems to work. I am using sgminer for GPU-Mining. Have a look at the screenshot:

...and the dimecoin p2pool server statistic:

Does anyone know if this is still the fastest mining coin, and if credible pools ever came online?

Last go I had there were fraudulent mining pools and pretty much zero organization..

There is not a credible pool.

The easiest way would be to make a NOMP pool,  charge 2% for server costs, do a quick  makeover of the NOMP  template and take a 2gb  Ubuntu 64 bit package at Digital Ocean. Base it in Amsterdam or New York.

Configure dimecoin.json the same way as Quark (not SHA3).

If you can't do that, offer a 10 dollar bounty. Someone will do it for you, or for anyone else that fancies having a pool.

Ireckon you would get a bit of business, especially if you made changes to the template and distinguished yourself from the pool(s) in South  East Asia.

The smartest thing to do would be to find the most popular yet credible trade site and monitor mining complexity for the currencies and plan accordingly based on time and fees.

v0.8.3.14-g09e437b-beta works fine for me on 2 PCs (win7)
Ok thank you mkrypt....but it takes me a hour to send coins, first can only send 1/2 the coins at a time and then 1/2 the coins left ect, do you have that problem?
Or maybe you mine directly to cryptsy? cryptsy will not allow me to do that.
Thx

That's the problem of coins with very few and distant nodes on a network. Sometimes my transaction just hangs uncofirmed even if my connection is all green. I tried this trick - turn on solo mining and after first found block my previous transactions all got confirmed.
Thx I have to try that.

@tbearhere: https://github.com/Dimelord/dimecoin   Wallet from OP works fine in windows (if you don't want to compile)
I have 8.3.14 the old one. Is that the older wallet you posted?
The wallet I have is a pain.
