I haven't used Directbet (I usually use casinobitcoin or betcoinsports) but I've been checking up on this thread to see about using them in the future and from what I've seen DB didn't do anything wrong in regards to ts11111's bet. Isn't it well known that transfers from coinbase can be delayed? Looking at all the evidence I can't see anything that shows DB did anything wrong here, they clearly showed when the transfer was actually received which was 7 minutes later. Considering the way in which they operate (no deposits) I probably wouldn't use them for live bets but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use them for betting in advance.

As far as peepsplace is concerned, I'm sorry but I just can't trust a poster from a site who solicits ad revenue from books and then rates/promotes them. Also the emails from them look suspicious as well. Why would you charge all other books 2 BTC a month yet you offered DB 1 BTC a month, something doesn't seem right.
Directbet was 1 BTC + 1% commission on volume. I realize that you don't know me from Adam but I've owned a couple of cash gambling websites, turned down lots of advertisers, taken banners down voluntarily forfeiting money when it looked like they were having problems and I paid players from my own pocket that were stiffed by BetOnSports because they had a banner up at my forum.

The BoS stiff job cost me some good coin. To my knowledge, no other forum has ever paid players that were stiffed by an advertiser.

If you have so much faith in your advertisers, will you cover any problems arising from Cloudbet, Anonibet, and Nitrogen?

And why do you post as Peeps Place if you don't run it? How are you affiliated with them?
I've been posting at peepsplace since 2003. I'm a forum junkie. I also post at other cash forums such as SBR, EOG, RX, MW.

If you have a disagreement with the ratings, then please tell me the book and why.

My disagreement is with a poster with the same name as a site who solicits ad revenue from books, looks to be bashing a book just because they decided not to place ads on that site. I've seen issues with Anonibet such as this http://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--672929 which is considerably more than ts11111's wager. Will peepsplace cover his winnings if Anonibet doesn't?

I don't see what is so hard to understand.......

1) They received my bet, and it went to the negotiate state.
2) I checked the current odds, and they were the same 5.6 as they were when I ordered the bet. Yet my transfer was received and put in a negotiate state instead of being confirmed instantly upon receipt.
3) 2 minutes passed, and the odds dropped from 5.6 to 2.8.

They held my bet in a negotiate state even though my minimum odds (5.6) were still available!!!!!

I'm just going by the verifiable evidence that was posted. Considering the volatility of odds on live betting I find it a little hard to believe the odds would stay the same for almost 10 minutes. These are just my opinions on this matter.

DirectBet doesn't offer anything on this fight other than the draw +1900. I have Canelo -175 at another book.

DirectBet is a great if you just want a sportsbook.
They are not a full casino.
why do you consider them a great out?

I like not having to sign up an account. I don't want to keep coins on a site, seen too many "site hacked and all coins taken" threads.
DirectBet offers a ton of different betting options, including in-game betting.
I bet on mcxNOW, I like the personal touch of betting with someone and chatting with them. But, they are not available 24/7, so DirectBet fulfills the anytime aspect.
Plus, as I mentioned, the customer support is A+++!
Very friendly, very clear. They make sure to resolve misunderstandings above and beyond what most companies would.

Anyway...it is what it is. I like the site.
Hope that answers your question.
thanks for the answer. I'm always interested in players feedback.

I know that bitcoin players don't know the poster Reagan, but his reputation is impeccable and he runs the show at Peepsplace. The forum peepsplace opened in 2003. There are many pay per ratings forums such as SBR but that's not how things work at Peepsplace.

DirectBet is a great if you just want a sportsbook.
They are not a full casino.
why do you consider them a great out?

They offer more options than every other bitcoin sportsbook.
I'm not sure what you mean by options. Are you talking markets or prop bets and derivatives?

Betting lines... both pre-match and in-play.

Doesn't matter though because the system doesn't work correctly.

No they aren't great. I'm glad you haven't had any problems, but a lot of us have.

I think what separates DirectBet from the others is their amazing customer support. I mean, if a person doesn't know what they are doing and they don't understand the type of bet, they can always ask DirectBet support how to best place the type of bet that the person wants.
Sometimes a person is not smart enough to ask to understand the type of bet they are placing and may end up losing out on .59 (just as an example), but most people understand what they are doing.
Here are my feelings on the type of bets offered by DirectBet. Correct me if I'm misunderstanding it.

Flexible odds: Not a good choice since the player makes a bet guessing on the odds that he will get.

Negotiable odds: Not a good choice since your bet is on hold until you get the odds that you want. The negative feature is that the score/time/position changes and you still have your bet open. The bet can be filled before you have time to cancel.

Firm odds: This is the best way to go if bets are confirmed immediately as they are with other books. Albeit not always DirectBet's fault, your bet may not be confirmed for an hour and the player's bet cannot be canceled during this time.

Please try again. You are missing it.

I selected a negotiate bet. DB received the bet, and it stayed in the negotiate state while my minimum set odds were still available. According to DB, these should be confirmed instantly. How can my bet sit in the negotiate state for 2 minutes while I refresh the odds in a different tab and they are still available at my minimum odds?
