I think what separates DirectBet from the others is their amazing customer support. I mean, if a person doesn't know what they are doing and they don't understand the type of bet, they can always ask DirectBet support how to best place the type of bet that the person wants.
Sometimes a person is not smart enough to ask to understand the type of bet they are placing and may end up losing out on .59 (just as an example), but most people understand what they are doing.

Just a hobby for me as I like to post at gambling forums with other gamblers. I'm just counter-punching DirectBet's poll. I like his poll and would even vote conflict of interest especially since he is wrong on how he posted the question.1. Ratings went up.
2. The top books at the time were asked to advertise at Peepsplace for promotion on cash forums.
3. Posters wanted the ratings to be more stringent so caps were place upon time in business. Most book ratings were lowered.
4. Some of the "D" and now "F" books asked to advertise and we said, "no".

DirectBet is very misleading when he posts my emails. Plugs are at other cash forums in promotional sections, not bitcointalk.

Books have to pay "street tax" or else. You have to shake down these books.
On a serious note you can look at other ratings guides here at BCT or elsewhere, DirectBet is not listed very high. They were thought to be a good book at one time. It seems that the influx of new books and consistent improvements of other books have taken a toll on DirectBet.

Several months ago Peeps contacted the top Bitcoin sports betting sites and invited them to advertise on his website, http://www.peepsplace.com
The advertisement deal specifically included promoting the books in forums :

Shortly afterwards, Peeps tailored the ratings and criteria on his thread so that the Bitcoin sportbooks that purchased his advertisement deal will also be on top of his ratings list.
Peeps had a lot of good things to say about us, he praised us on e-mails and forums, he was also betting on our website regularly and he even signed up as an affiliate, but after we rejected to purchase his advertisement deal, Peeps suddenly started discrediting us and posting false information, and a few hours after we questioned our rating, it was reduced to C.

Since his goal was to hurt our business and reputation in favor of the books that pay him to do so, we had no choice but to reveal his scam :

It is a shrewd business move...straight out of the Sopranos. Peeps solicits business from a sportsbook. That person/book refuses to give in and pay up. If other books knew they could say 'no' and get away with reputation in tact, no more income for Peeps. Peeps can't allow that, it's just bad business. So, go on a posting spree to discredit that business/book. 16 posts by Peeps in the last 2 pages.
Let this be a warning. Nobody turns Peeps down and walks away with their kneecaps.

As I already stated your top 2 rated bookies don't have as much sports covered and require registration. If I want to be restricted I will join the standard cash bookies.
No one pays for what is posted at Bitcointalk. DirectBet is even wrong about peepsplace.com. He isn't privy to the conversations pertaining to other books and is just guessing on the business relationship.

I've turned down a lot of money from both cash books and bitcoin books. When I was at peepsplace running a subforum, I was personally paid by two books for banners. When I heard that they books were having problems, I voluntarily asked for the banners to be brought down and forfeited the money.
The books were having problems on the credit side. Many times this is a sign that trouble with soon begin on the post up side and it was a preemptive strike.
