I have not yet received your bet ID so I can't tell for sure what happened, but generally, the Negotiate Odds feature allows you to negotiate better odds for your bet in a similar way it works in betting exchanges, at the risk that your bet may not be filled. If you set the minimum odds to be too high, there is a good chance your bet will not be filled, in which case it will get canceled and refunded automatically at the start or completion of the event.

If you are not willing to take the chance that your bet may not be filled you should use the Flexible Odds betting option instead.

don't ever keep your bitcoin into exchanges unless you want to be goxed. If you have big reserves keep them into cold storage or paper wallet, and keep a small portion of them into your bitcoin client and add a strong password protection on it or simply use blockchain wallet which uses the bitcoin blockchain directly, either way direct bet will receive the bets instantly unlike using coinbase

We have several clients who occasionally experience transfer delays with Coinbase. It doesn't happen very often, but it does sometimes.

For time sensitive bets use the Bitcoin Core client instead and you should be fine.

I didn't post clearly - I meant that the emails I've sent to my wallet demanding an explanation hadn't been answered.
I sent no emails to DirectBet - as I mentioned, none of this is the fault of DirectBet in any way.

This has only happened to me twice using them, unfortunately both times when trying to make timely bets at DirectBet.

Finally got an email telling me that they got out of sync with the Blockchain, bla bla bla.

For the 2nd time in trying to make a wager at DirectBet, my exchange/wallet did not send in a timely manner.
I sent 13 minutes before start time. For reasons unknown, it took almost 2 hours to get it sent. Still haven't gotten a response from my emails asking for an explanation.

But I also didn't want to make the wager elsewhere and end up having a double bet, so waited till only about 2-3 minutes before event start.
By then the 2nd best line had moved, had to take a worse line. It won, and it cost me money as I would have bet and won more if I'd skipped DirectBet and took the 2nd best line initially.

None of the above is your fault in any way.

However, it's not worth the hassle and time (as well as money) wasted.

So in the future I won't be using DirectBet until you institute deposits.

I think it's great that you don't require them, but this is twice now that I've lost out due to problems getting you the wager in time.
And then sometimes the line I wanted is gone by the time it's sent and received, even if done rapidly which it normally is.
