I've seen the image of the board online and it shows a lot of detail.  However, after reading the hardware modifications, I'm trying to visualize and understand why to remove the fan connector and why/how to add an 8 pin PCIe power connector. I don't understand the purpose or see a spot to put a connector like that on there. What am I missing?

Any one know more about these modifications? What is the part number of the 6 larger power inductors that we need to use?

In the picture below, I'm sure that is the fan connector removed, but that doesn't look like an 8-pin PCIe power connector in its place. What is it? Again, what is the purpose of this mod? If you're committed to water cooling, why not water cool the rest of it, like the larger inductors?

~LOL~

Too much hype sometimes lead to lies and misrepresentations.

I’m not sure any of those statements are false.

Lots of DIY, there’s no algorithm you can’t implement (though some not fast too), and there are definitely those with fast ROI.

Hi guys.

Thanks for putting this group buy together.
Do you have any idea if the PayPal option for payment will be reinstated soon. I'm waiting for this before putting my order in.

Thanks

So I am looking into to this for my next build! I want to make sure I buy the correct part.
with that
1) CPU which would be better - i7 or Ryzen
        Mid range or High end

2) Memory 8Gb or 16Gb DDR 4 for motherboard

3) Motherboard (depending on what CPU)

4) Windows 10

5) USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 for PCIe card

whitefire990 If you could post your build info that would be great.

2nd and most important

For the BCU1525 - BLOCKCHAIN EDITION  (WITH MODS & RAM)

would it be beneficial to have more memory install in card! If you upgrade memory from ship 16Gb to 64Gb would that have any increase

Thanks in advance what you are doing is great project!

FYI

https://discord.gg/Cbc979S

Both of the discord links posted a couple posts back are expired. Would love to jump in if someone can post a valid link.

I took some verilog classes back in college. Are the bitstreams written in Verilog? If so, I would love to contribute whatever help I can to getting a working bitstream for the most popular algos. Who should I contact to help get me started in the right direction?

Thank you! Linked worked!

Anyone have a valid discord link?  OP's is dead already.

Also, OP, you're still supporting the lesser cards you mentioned in your introduction correct?

Can I get a new discord invitiation link? This one got expired.

Waiting for the bitstreams of Nexys Video FPGA (Artix-7 based FPGA) as mentioned by OP that he will support from the beginning be like...

Keep up the good works OP! We are waiting for your Bitstreams to test Wink

Can the CN7 bitstream and miner be acquired now for testing purposes?
The fpga.land page says that it is available. Does that mean it is available now, or that it will be availble in August? If now, how/where can it be acquired for testing?
@powerload,
They already  answered my exact same question recently. Everyting will be delivered in August.

Right, but some of us don't want to sink $30K into hardware without being able to directly validate the existence and performance of the stack.
@powerload,
i only meant the part regardng August delivery. I have no idea if anybody has tested it yet.

For some people that dont want to spend 3500 or just want to get our feet wet before we spent that amount you mention this board The Avnet KU040 which is 9 and change how would we use this would your mining software work with other fgpas I understand certain boards wont be able to mine the same algos as others

Right now the work is going into VCU1525s because we’ve put 5000 of them in market. Once that’s all up and running it shouldn’t be an issue for devs to build some less powerful bitstreams for the KU040, but that’s not necessarily going to be the best board.
