I remember that my first gamble is when I was on high school, so I was under 18 at that time. I was gamble against my own friend on a soccer match. It was only around $1 IIRC

Ohh yeah! That's true. I had already experienced different kinds of gambling. Like when we are in school, those gambling acts are the example of gambling.
when I was in high school I've experienced like "kara krus", pahulaan sa pera, spider fight, and etc. Don't mind the term I've mention  Smiley. But I'm sure under the age of 18 there's a lot of people gambling.

Gambling is natural. People do it all the time and we don't even realize it. Ask kids we play with other kids and we often tell each other "I bet you are not good at basketball" or something in those lines. We actually use the words unknowingly connoting gambling, so I am not surprised about this.
Exactly. Give 5 yo kid a candy he will take it. Give him chance to win 10 candies - to lose that one and get none or to win 10, guess what would kid pick...

I've found something for this topic - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ho0g-Htvcgs  Not only they are gambling, they are even gambling(rock paper scissors) with who will be first to play. They are probably around 10 years old.

I remember doing this back in 1994.  Grin

Nothing has changed IMHO.

Yes, many people who have gambled under the age of 18. I also ever, around age 12 years, the prize isn't money but a car remote control. A game is lottery, and i won it. Smiley

let the youth learn, but the fact that young people start playing games of chance with gambling can be a very bad trend.
But do not underestimate the new generations, I am not finding they will get suffered due to gambling addictions like the gamblers did in early days of internet.

One prime reason which is supportive for young generation of gambler is they are into multiple engagements. They easily get distracted by social media so the chances for them to spend more time with gambling will be very less and when they will be limited with gambling, the chances to get addicted will be very less to zero.
I disagree with this, while there are more distractions than in the past how many people have you seen that could be classified as addicted to facebook or twitter? Many and this type of behavior can easily be transferred to almost anything like video games or gambling.

Probability that may arise for a child of their age is very high, which is the stage of recognition and learning attitudes similar to behavior of adults. My point if they are comfortable with social media addiction, they will not get away from the addiction, and so if they have an interest in gambling, they will choose to be comfortable and continue to develop attention without thinking of other pleasures.

If you want to finish someone's addiction (the person under the age of 18), just cut their money source. These people are young and probably live with the parents, receive money from the parents and the only way these teenagers are betting is if they use the income the parents pay them. Cutting this income, they will have to stop playing and with bonus, maybe they start looking for work.  Cheesy

Really, they will not be able to gamble again if they lose their source of income. And the children of today earn income from their parents. So to make them deterrent, close their source of income. New problems will arise if they choose to work and have their own money, we must have other options.
It's better to use the extra money you have instead of using your money overall. It's not the best thing to do because you can just save your extra money so in the future you could invest it in something better. That's for sure, like in bitcoin, if you bought while it was low, it is going to be awesome.

I want to know if anyone here gambles or have gambled under the age of 18, I feel like there are many kids who do this and I am interested to see how many people actually gamble under 18, if you have any friends that gamble or have gambled under 18 include them.

EDIT: I mean mostly kids online, its hard to be a kid and gamble physically. I feel like the gambling rate for kids is increasing a lot and is gonna be a problem in the future, especially with the CS:GO situation.

EDIT2: Another question to ask, is what is your opinion on the topic of kids gambling, do you think it is a growing problem or a problem alone for that matter?

EDIT3: What is the best way to counter this problem without websites having to know your exact identity?

Yes my friend, I really find these a serious problem in the future. I know a lot a kids in my place gamble whether it's a card game or an online game. Also, it's really hard to counter when its in the web and I think their parents are the only one who can help them.

It's a problem anywhere. Gambling is natural. People do it all the time and we don't even realize it. Teenagers now a days really accepts money from their parents and they sort of using it in illegal like gambling in some country or sort of vice. A young teen will enter in gambling will really be addicted to it. Then in getting older he/she also getting addicted to it but the thing is he/she using the money of his parents and not from his hardwork

Yeah, the main reason when our kids start to play gambling, when parents don't care about their kids activities. Than definitely it is parents fault, why they are too much negligence for their kinds look after. Because if we care of our kids and tell them in the start when they are growing about bad activities than definitely they could safe themself and also safe them from gambling.
As a son i will say you are wrong. My parents did(shit, they still are) care about my activities when i was kid. That still didn't stopped me from betting when i was under aged. But yeah, you can give your best to guide them but you can't put your kids under glass bell and hold them there 24/7.
Your parents are different ,thinking why they let you gamble seems they see an advantage or they let you explore Its a good thing also that they guide you .Its better that they know your activities so they can give you advise .

As Bitcoin is anonymous and you can use some gambling sites anonymous as well, yes, there are some people gamble under the age of 18.

And it's really happening, whether it is with bitcoin or not, gambling is not regulated for each countries. There might be people that are gambling through their own houses without any monitoring and teens are being involved on it. That's why it's really going to make under 18 to gamble which is bad for them.

The age of Bitcoin users and the audience of gambling is getting younger. The case from bitcoin is nothing terrible here, let the youth learn, but the fact that young people start playing games of chance with gambling can be a very bad trend.
yeah but still it's a problem to allow player under age to know casino and gamble there. they are mostly still asking for money from their parents as for the result they couldn't gamble responsibly. the rules like this has been discussed and agreed for long time ago but online casino changed it all recently especially bitcoin casino.

I think gambling may be done for fun even by kids as I am not against it, but if parents don't keep control over their kids and give them money to gamble, then they will be responsible for the growth of addiction in their hearts about gambling. If you are not interested in letting websites know your identity, you may use websites where no verifications or account creation is needed.
