It depends if the project succeed and get a huge name in the industry there is a tendency that the bounty hunters will become investor because their mindset can evolve at its finest because they gonna realize that this type of token or coin is worth it to invest because we can gather a lot from it. I think yes it can be true in your words, some of bounty hunters usually search how to double own money and become investors sometimes. However even you didn't invest money in ICO wich you promote as bounty hunter, you invest your own time in it.
I think there was a study done to check this and it was revealed that every 1 out of 3 bounty hunters are potential investors as well, that is why we see many icos sending bonus and special promo emails to bounty hunters to attract the hidden potential investors.

I think ICOs and bounties are interconnected. If the product of the project is good, good marketing techniques, a competent development team, will definitely produce a successful ICO. Maybe you will be right at your point but in my opinion it will not be truth for all the bounty hunters because I seen many bounty hunters who don't know anything in cryptocurrency market , they know that they are needed to enroll in campaign and get paid .But still here we can see another factors also because this forum is getting members day by day in big amount , and most of those members are looking to have job as cryptocurrency advertisement and that leads into a big competition and that competition leads into result for the most of the bounty hunters to join any type of bounty campaign blindly to join , Because they can't sit without doing anything .So here we can't target toward the ICO bounty hunters as a ICO investors , but surely thier hardwork is equal to money because in this forum to have a better place is Avery tough work and also for that we need to give our best to explain , discussion of matters and share knowledge to each other in simple/complicated way .
I am sure that before even joining a project, almost everyone makes his/her own research in order to find if a chosen project will actually be developed and build.
