No, altcoins are the future, not BTC. That makes no sense to sell alts, every has a potential and good use in real life in the future.

If your Altcoins are belong to the top ranked coins then i suggest to hold them because i observed many time that Bitcoin movements will always create a domino epic on Altcoins for both rise and falls. So once Bitcoin will bounce back soon then probably the Altcoins too so hold all your coins for now because it is wise to not putting all of your eggs in one basket.

I'm confused , why do you need to sell you altcoins when bitcoin is going up? It's just doesn't make any sense at all , why don't you just hold it while also investing in bitcoin so you have a well maximize investment.

This crypto market is totally depended on news, if good news comes all coins pumps and if bad news comes it dumps heavy, and now a day there is lots bad news comes like any county ban bitcoin, any well-known exchange hacked etc. and market dumping heavy. But I think at now bitcoin 6100$ level, its making a bottom and ready to fly higher. So I will advice not to sell your coins at lower level in loss and wait for market to come again in bullish trend for good profit.
Depending on the ones you are holding but i will advice to look at long term before you do that so you dont regret selling the 20X

I agree with holding, The price of btc got down to around $6,000 usd and had really strong resistance. I think 6k is going to be this years low, I am not sure if we are going to see BTC back to 20k or not but a pump is eminent in the near future. The price of altcoins is based off of whether BTC is rising or falling. So if Bitcoin goes up so do all of the altcoins. If you have held this long you might as well hold a little more. Because I think the dump is about over, shaking out all the week hands that is all!!!!

Sell them if you needed to. Since the market is not that good at this moment, better think of it as a better way to avoid money loss.
