It's been bad since Jan. Nothing new here. The hot money pouring in last year is going away. better cash out on every rebound.
you're right, since January, the price of bitcoin has worsened and it's better not to save too long, to avoid things that are not wanted

I believe this is most needed at the end of the year. following recent market turmoil and revitalization. Value is balanced and maintained to a small extent. If at the beginning of the year, holdings are not much effective against trade. That may be the opposite at this point until the end of the year. Be more patient for your received value.

Hodling of bitcoin for some period of time puts some kind of fear in people since the market is not stable and these people cannot afford to lose after long term of hodling the coin

Bitcoin dipped to 7500$ and i think now it is danger zone could go to 3000$-4000$ again.
Good chance for newcomers, sorry for those who bought bitcoin at 18,000$ an 11,000$ Cheesy

What do you think? How low bitcoin can go?

Just hodl it

if I buy at a price of 5000 $ then now at the price of 2000 $ should I hold it? the question, how long? investment is not about hold and take profit bro, sometimes you also have to do cutloss to minimize risk

This is absolutely correct. You are not in losing end yet unless you sold all your coins in this current market condition where the prices are too low. Keeping it all in your wallet is the wise decision to make whatever happens because for sure everything that's happening now it the market is just temporary.

Bitcoin- in bullish time
this is a great strategy, I think you can not guess exactly, but the approximate numbers you get the right)
I will hold my bitcoin and wait a perpect time before i sell it, even it is hard to make a lot of money with bitcoin in short term i will always believe in long term holding cause i know that bitcoin will surely increase it's value on december 2018.
You should not be sticking to that "perfect time" before selling your bitcoin because there is no perfect time and you should have a target price so you will have a clear and fixed selling point for your bitcoin so you will not be tempted to hold it more even though you already think that it is best to sell.

Now Bitcoin is just a speculative asset, having failed in all the uses that was talked about Bitcoin. See my threads.

Bitcoin going to $800

Just made my day and cannot stop laughing Btc at 800$ and I always believe it will be with one more 0 to that figurewill be their. Just waiting when it will be back to 5 digit mark and people will regret for not buying at this time .

I believe in you. The price of digital bitcoin money will get a 5 digit number again and I'm sure people will regret not buying bitcoin now.

I feel sorry for those who buy bitcoin at a price of $ 11000- $ 18000 hehehe ... lol, Grin

now the average bitcoin price is $ 6000- $ 7000, I'm still hesitant about wanting to sell or save for a long time,
but after I heard the prediction of the bitcoin price from you I want to sell and buy again at a low price.

The losses most people have recorded in cryptocurrency today was not just due to the fact that the prices fell, but it is due to the fact that they sold even when the prices were low. You have a choice to hodl.

DO NOT SELL! JUST HODL - You've not loss any money if you haven't sold.

Yes, this is true, you never lose any amount in your holdings if you do not sell in low.
just keep holding and make your self-comfortable in waiting for the Bull season.
we will get into that soon.

Your understanding of this is very limited and fundamentally flawed. By holding in a prolonged bear market you're not literally losing money but purchasing power because your coins are losing value. People are saying to hold and never sell at a loss because they believe in BTC and that this bear market is only temporary. That's what I believe too, but holding doesn't make you safer or smarter than the rest. What if the market keeps declining and right before it's about to recover something bad happens, like another blockchain bottleneck or a series of hacks? You'll end up waiting another 5-10 years for a recovery.

What you're referring to is the opportunity cost of holding in a bear market. If your holdings are worth $5,000, you might believe they will eventually be worth more, but the if you continue to hold it could continue to trend lower and you would be better off selling now and buying at the lower price and earning more in the long run if you're right. The problem with this is nobody can predict day-to-day movements, so selling opens you up to risk that you're wrong about the price continuing to drop in the short term and then miss out on the longer term trend of rising prices that you ultimately believed in anyway. Short term trading opens you up to more inefficiency than simply holding and taking advantage of long term trends.

I can the logic in both arguments, in the end people have to chose the option they feel suits them best. I burned my fingers in the past with short term predictions and trading these, so this time I refrained from selling even though we just went lower and lower...but I don't have to check my balances or checkin on coinmarketcap several times a day...if you can't get that bit of a distance and scratching your hair everytime your coins sink lower than indeed the hodl strategy might not be the most suitable one for you.

I mean it's all up to preference, investing is a thing of feel, not feelings. Some people are better at feeling when to get in (and when to get out), but yeah eventually bitcoin price always goes up. So hodling is not a bad idea in the long run.

I also agree with you. The only time you will lose is when you sell below the price you bought.

Just hodl it

The best thing is to hold if you want to earn more profit. Holding your bitcoin  with patience will help you  for a better future. Just wait for the price to increase and if you have enough money to buy bitcoin grab the opportunity, hold it and youll see the result if the price is high.

Well this is also my strategy, i dont also plan to sell all of my bitcoin now because the value is low and i know that i will be stupid if i will sell my bitcoin now. And now i am also planning to buy again some bitcoin that i will hold until the value will rise.
