Many people want to showoff their profitable earn from bitcoin and never hidden yet with how much profit earned or how much bitcoin assets have in their wallet, some people want to get respect from the other by showoff their bitcoin. No recommended sharing with how many bitcoin or altcoin assets have in our wallet but make it private only know by our family only. Many people have understood well with bitcoin transaction and how to withdraw become fiat, when getting chance with people interested for showoff their bitcoin assets will be target by thief how to stole his bitcoin assets.

Some people show off thier crypto assets without any typical reason while other need to show off that they have a lot of bitcoin and crypto and they feel unsatisfied until they know that all of thier family members and friends know that he has that much assets, Usually these are those people who will show off themselves to be rich and for this they won't be limited to showing thier crypto but also willing to show everything they own like car, home etc

Some one want to get more interested with their social media account by showoff with how many bitcoin in their wallet, I think better make privacy with your assets and close chance from thief or criminal cases happen to us when not sharing with how many bitcoin asset we hold in wallet.

Well, if you show your wallet balance to anyone, they can't steal anything from you but sometimes when other people know that you have that much balance then they may become jealous and think bad about you. Maybe try to harm you or anything like that, so for this reason i am that sort of person who won't be much interested to show off his assets to anyone.

I was listening to a news that one of the relatives of a person kidnapped him and asked him for bitcoin in ransom. This happened because that person showed his bitcoin holdings to many of his relatives and news spread among them that he has lot of money invested in crypto. Though, finally funds were recovered from that guy but he could have even lost his life in the whole scenario. Thus, you should be careful with disclosing about your bitcoin holdings to everyone.

I just heard something similar to this story, but the guy was not so lucky. he resisted and did not tell the passcode to his wallet and the thief got angry and shot him!

If we want to live safely, we must be able to take care of ourselves and not provoke people to commit crimes, such as showing off our assets, for example gold and crypto. because we will not know someone's heart even if he is our friend or relative. Bitcoin is a very valuable asset, even though we have 1 or 2 Bitcoins, of course in certain countries you can buy a house by selling just 1 Bitcoin. So we shouldn't show off Bitcoin to everyone, even if it's our relatives, so that we are potentially free from the threat of crime. So your advice is very good and certainly useful. Indeed, lately there has been a lot of news circulating, including in my country, that was the result of showing off crypto to his friend until he was finally killed by his own friend and his friend wanted the crypto that was on his friend. so we have to look after our assets seriously.

In my opinion, it is better for us to be considered poor, but we have valuable assets, rather than showing off our assets which will potentially cause us harm.
Yes, that's true, but we can't be completely closed to Bitcoin ownership. at least it is a family member or someone closest to us. surely you will tell them.
The most important thing is to only talk about Bitcoin with people who really know and are in the right environment. it's like fellow people investing in Bitcoin.
Of course, avoid posting anything related to your Bitcoin asset balance. As far as possible, keep away from screenshots and uploads on our social media. We ourselves know the limits of what we can do and what we should avoid. all for safety and comfort.

I think this should only apply to crypto hodlings. Generally, it is a very risky thing to flaunt your wealth. Not everyone is happy with you and some will be looking for ways to sell you out to people who could harm you and try to take your wealth.

What is the point showing his entire family his portfolio? Was he trying to convince them to invest, or just for show off. Whatever his reasons are, my take from his experience is that one should be careful who you show sensitive things about you to.
It is because some people will get jealous of your great achievement in life and they start to think of making you down.
Indeed, we should be careful about whose and whom to tell our holding but much better to just tell no one aside from our husband/wife. In fact, we don't need to involve our life with others, and actually, no reason for them to know that we have XXX of Bitcoin because they really hate it. Sometime, they will tell us a scammer and some say that we are involved in illegal activities.

Yeah. It is safer to keep your financial investment to yourself and only reveal to your spouse. Not going around making a public announcement of what you have in your account. This could lead to you being exposed to those with criminal intent. It is better to live your life in private, except you are a celebrity or a political expose people.
You have good advice there, but I would still like to warn you that revealing your wallet status to your spouse must be rethought as it's not in all relationships that spouses mean well for themselves, so the advice shouldn't be general. Some spouses are good, some are bad and some are ugly, so if yours is wise and good, then you can go ahead with it but also be sensitive to the revelation since the world is cruel. At times, it might not be the spouse that would perpetrate the evil against their fellow spouse but someone who the spouse reveals it to without an evil intention might be those who would do it. This is why we have to be smart even as we disclose to our spouse and let them know the danger of letting a third party know about it.

Besides, it's a very bad and dangerous thing to be running our mouths like a fool, and if someone is naturally mature, they do not run their mouth anyhow, they will be calm, and listen more than they speak. These attributes should be inculcated in our wallet possessions as well, we should never dare reveal the worth of our wallets, it's better to pretend to have nothing at all or very little crypto assets if we can't deny it entirely. After all, the main reason why Satoshi invented Bitcoin was to keep the anonymity and privacy that the centralized system is depriving the masses.

Today's culture of inappropriate attention to wealth connects with your cautionary approach to asset display, particularly Bitcoin. Indeed, financial discretion protects against dangers. Why should asset holders pay for crime prevention? Society improperly places crime prevention on individuals. Now consider Bitcoin's values: Financial autonomy is the goal, not just a currency. By promoting secrecy, arent we reducing its appeal? This is crucial: Balance advocacy and personal safety. We must promote cryptocurrency awareness and education to create a culture where wealth- digital or otherwise - empowers rather than criminalizes.

I am reminded of this meme.

The 1st rule of Bitcoin Club: You do not talk about your own bitcoin
The 2nd rule of bitcoin club: You do NOT talk about your own bitcoin.
I think people who announce bitcoin they have only want to show up and let people know they have bitcoin, to give people the impression that they have money. But they forget that doing this they are opening themselves to danger. Letting people know that you have some amount of bitcoins is just calling those who will  come and steal from it.
Having some amount of Bitcoin is supposed to be made secrete, because people still try to keep the money in the bank as secret,  if people hide the amount of fiat they have that means bitcoin also needs to be keep secret too.

It also helps to have a duress wallet and even multiple wallets that are geographically separated in the event that you are ever physically attacked.

Some important things about oneself must be kept secret from everyone. I feel that sharing about my investment with others will not benefit me so why should I discuss my investment with others where I am not benefiting. Our main objective of investing is to earn profit from that investment and not to invest to inform others. What's the guarantee that someone you trust today about your investment won't try to harm you some time later? Bitcoin is a very valuable digital currency and when you invest in Bitcoin you have a chance of getting a lot of good things in the future, it is better not to tell others that good things should be kept to yourself. If I make money by investing from my place no one will know that I have made money and if my money is lost then no one will know that I have lost money i don't like these things at all its my personal thing only i will know other  no one

I think in the month of July or there about, a crypto influencer who likes flaunting his wealth online was kidnapped and killed in Argentina. Though the cause of his death is very sketchy but it was also rumoured that his flamboyant online lifestyle might have caused his abduction and death. Now, this is just one of many cases and people still don't want to learn. Each year, we keep hearing stories of physical attacks on crypto enthusiasts and the numbers are increasing. The world is an evil place, wherever you are at keep your crypto dealings as discreet as possible, in order not to attract attention to yourself.

Very good and very informative post. Many of us invest and disclose all information about those investments to everyone. Especially I/we who are mobile users are more threatened. I have never thought so deeply today that I think so much more threat to our mobile users. Because mobile user investors always hold investments on mobile and go everywhere with mobile.

If you Know your family well then i don't think this will ever takes place not unless you grown from different places so you know nothing about the family members then they might have that Idea of taking your funds out.
but as long as the people you are sharing are someone that you know well? I am sure they will never take your funds(but still need to stay silence about your holding) because like me, Only Wife and my parents have idea how much I am Holding now because they are the only person i trusted the most.

When it comes to money is really hard to trust someone even if the person is very close to you, like you said, is your wife and family who knows how much you're holding. I believe you can as well say out your seed phrase to them right?
All I'm saying is money has a way of changing people, in some cases if they know how much you're holding they might try to know your phrase and even try to get hold of your funds, things might get messy.

Most people actually. When it comes to money, there are people who don't want to see you successful in life or they want to be the one to have that success. Most people can think of anything bad to get your money or what you possess, and if they see an opportunity to take it.

This is true, only loved ones like parents and spouses are not jealous of us, most people will be jealous of each other when they see others superior to them. That is the selfish nature that exists in each of us. So it would be a lie if we said we weren't jealous of our friends if we weren't equal to them.

Not only with bitcoin but with any asset of great value, we should not share or brag with everyone. That doesn't make people respect or praise us, it only makes them jealous and hate us more.

Hmm, sometimes, even some family members could be jealous of your wealth and may even want it for themselves. That's the more reason why you must be very careful and mindful of whom you tell some very sensitive secret to.
Just stay safe

Aside from the fact that keeping your bitcoin holding as a secret is safe and good, most people can't control themselves neither their speech, people like this will always fall victims to the hands of scammers, friends nowadays get envious and wicked but it's best to know the kind of friends we keep, prevention is better than cure.
Friends nowadays are not good but we see people bragging about their crypto holding on the internet, that's very bad, keeping some certain things outside the internet sounds safe we should not put all the blame on friends sometimes the victims are the ones responsible by bragging about their crypto holding on the internet

For many people, because of the price of Bitcoin today, and as they see Bitcoin as something that costs thousands of dollars, when they hear that you own a Bitcoin what comes to their minds, or they think of is that you have money, because for the majority of people they don't even know that you can own some fraction of Bitcoin, So you should know that you already at risk of being attacked by this bad guys owing Bitcoin and should avoid any sort of showing off.

The reason for this flaunting of wealth or showing off your Bitcoin is because a lot of us are being moved by what is happening on the social media, and some people who are into Bitcoin or Bitcoin enthusiasts follow suit, forgetting they are holding a valuable asset and money and hence would become an attention for the bad guys.

.
Sometimes our hearts are moved to know someone in order to have recognition. Many of us like to show off our wealth so that people will see that we have more value, but apart from the bad people who are targeting us, currently in the country alone there are also tax people who are happy and want to get tribute from the wealth that is displayed. Moreover, Bitcoin is currently an asset that is safe to steal, considering that there is no legal umbrella at this time

about crypto on which it should really be enough for  them to learn.

Its better to be safe than sorry. In todays world, money is everything and it would be so unwise that you will be making yourself that too boastful or too tactful
about your holdings. You are just simply doing suicide on that scenario or condition.

I think that makes sense and I think that recognition and the need to admit that we are great and rich people is not required from other people. In my opinion, be normal even though we already have a lot of BTC in our wallet and don't forget to always update our software.

One more thing. Never save our recovery seeds digitally either in your cell phone notes application, or anywhere else digitally and if we do that, we will do the same as you said above indirectly.

Honestly, That's what i've learned this year, Not all your relatives are proud on what you've accomplished in life, They will clap in front of you but once you turn your back, they say a lot of things that aren't good. So that, from now on, I distance myself to them and became lowkey in everything. it's true that you dont need to flaunt everything in life, you dont need any validations from others because if people doesn't know everything about you, they will never destroy you, so let's stop having a crab mentality and let's learn to be happy with other people's achievements
